Guys let's be honest with each other, SwC hasn't cared for here for a long long time, sometimes they come in and share some images and leave but that's about it, they never really cared about what is going on here, and not with the chat neither. If it was a proper place they would have been a lot bigger already, they never really left that long (there was a small stint when they were closed) and still they failed to get too many people into their website, why? Because they just do not care, no marketing, no moderators, no admins, no proper business at all, they just let it be and that's it.

There will be swastikas, there will be hate, there will be anything they can do and that's the problem, if people can say or do anything they want and nobody is there to enforce them to abide the rules, then there are no rules, if you killed someone but no cop arrests you, then you are free to do it, it is the same logic.

If they weren't caring for this place, why would they sponsor Bitcointalk Poker Series @ SwC, I was talking about couple of posts above?

In the realm of success, crypto poker sites shouldn't be compared to slots/dice/sports sites, because those are very different things. Sustaining a real poker isn't easy and attracting players to the site is not easy either. Poker players around the world are still hesitant in going crypto, so, from my personal experience, having 100+ players online is a good achievement in the crypto poker world. (and that's what SwC is having most of the time in the recent months.)

They may be not making huge profits right now, but that's OK because they are future-oriented. They have proven themselves to be a nice place to play real poker with real people, and I'm sure this is going to pay off in the future.
Yes, exactly. I would also guess they will be close to break-even- Why? Freerolls, Rakeback, monthly/weekly ladders and the BBJ need to be paid for. Also the costs for server and some security measures. In my opinion there is better marketing needed, but they are not calling for some experts in this area.

The BBJ needs to be paid for? The players pay for that by playing and paying rake and at the end swc takes 10% of the jackpot when its hit.

Freerolls are pretty much non existed, only some small and cheap ones. The weekly/monthly ladders are paid with rake and they already cut them to almost half to what they were.

Not to mention, over the last year they increased the rake to become 1 of the sites with the highest rake.

Trust me, they dont break even. Servers are not that expensive, security measures at swc are almost non existing. They dont even have staff, if they had they would answer emails and so on.
I completely disagree with you. Rake is the ONLY revenue a poker site has, so of course EVERYTHING need to be paid by rake. What I mean is: SWC has a risk there. The weekly and monthly ladder are not related to the amount of rake. In a bad month almost nobody is playing, but still they have to pay the prices out of to the top 10 or top 15.

There was never a month when the bottom prices of the ladder paid like super little rake, trust me.
SWC still have enough players that pay a lot of rake, just not enough to actually get a lot of tables going.

Even in January/February where many regs made the strike the leaderboard was big enough.

You need to factor all of their expenses really.

I doubt swc is turning much profit recently by the games that are running.  Sure, maybe they'd do better by giving more back in the long run, but bitching about them reducing leaderboard prizes because 'it's paid for with rake' is just dumb and shows you aren't bothering to consider any perspective other than your own.

Can someone explain why regs like Veganhippie and BertBetr are chat banned, yet other players who post swastikas in chat like these 2 are still able to chat. Never seen Bert or Vegan use hate speech in chat.

LOL, Vegan is a big shit talker and sunrunner. Don't defend this trash.
But its true that people posting stuff like this should not be allowed to chat at all.

If they are making a big amount of profit feel free to found a company for crypto online gambling. Nobody will stop you. From economic theory we know that in the long run after many competitors come to one markets the profit margins are getting lower and lower. The same can be applied here.

Can you respond to support emails in a timely manner? I have now sent two emails (requesting you to add cash game tables) which have gone unaswered. The earliest was sent 12 days ago. I even sent a DM on twitter which was likewise ignored.

I'm generally happy with the site, but this is dissapointing.

There were 3 or 4 Bitcointalk Poker Series hosted by SwC Poker. I'm not completely sure, but I think there were 4 of them, because @iv4n won 2, I won 1, and, yeah, @SteamTyme won another one, so there were 4 of them. Those were the days! SwC Poker were adding big money to the prize pool of the Grand Finale, 0.05 BTC and 0.06 BTC, and we were having many great players at the tables, and if you reread the threads about those Series, you'll see what fun it was. I keep rereading them with nostalgia in my heart, and with a little bit of hope that one day SwC Poker will arrange something like this again. But even if they won't, I will be forever grateful for those days.

I know there were some funny tournaments from SWC and Bitcointalk. Is something like this planned? I doesnt have to be a season over several weeks, maybe just a single tournament with as many players from Bitcintalk as possible. I would love to see this.

'Funny tournaments' ?

We used to hold few bitcointalk poker series back in the day and it was a planned series with 8 rounds and 1 Grand Final for top 9. Nowadays we dont have that anymore, the last decent tournament was on 24th April and 9th May with more than 15 participants and it was organized by BTCGOSU @efialtis.

There was another one two weeks after that but there were only 4 participants. Most people seems to be lacking the motivation to play as time goes so yeah we probably wont have any exclusive bitcointalk poker for a while

Unless 40 players registered it's still a good deal, especially if there there are only 15-20 players.

@iv4n, just keep checking 5 minutes before the game starts. Sometimes there are 8 players registered, and it's you who can make it happen. I missed this chance once, when there were 9 ppl registered, and I decided to late reg later, but one user unregistered in the last seconds, and the game was cancelled.

You are lucky you still have your BIG BTC ticket. I already used mine, and I didn't finish ITM even. I'm rooting for you, mate! Smiley Good luck!

It's a thing... if I wish to play it I need preparation, all day sleeping to have the energy to start the game at 1 AM! I am usually in bed before that time, so to waste a day for a game that can be canceled is not an ideal thing to do at the moment... with so many daily obligations I have!

That's totally understandable. I personally can't imagine sleeping during daytime, there are so many noises around. I'd rather go for Red Bull, or something, during the late tournament.

I have two tickets! Smiley And I have time until 2023 to use them! I guess I will find some free Sunday and Monday in the next two years! Smiley

Actually it's great that SwC Poker is such a stable and reliable platform that we can be making plans like this. Holding 2 tickets, worth $200 each, and knowing that nothing will happen to them, and we can use them whenever it's convenient for us.

Good Luck, @i4an! I see that you are taking it seriously, and I know that you are a good poker player. All you need is a bit of luck, and I sincerely wish you that.
