2 1/2 months have gone by, any ETAs? "Weeks or months" have passed, the leaderboard was supposed to drop before that.

After 4.0 hits (I refuse to call it a refactor), can we finally have 2-7NLSD back? I don't even dare to ask for the circus games.

Can you give us anything that gives us hope you're actually trying to populate this site? Because it has been exceptionally dead the last couple weeks.

In SwC Poker's defense, we are in the peak summer months, so I'd imagine traffic numbers should be significantly lower than in the fall/winter. But that being said, business is business. If updates are promised, it's in SwC Poker's best interest to keep players informed on any progress made.

In my opinion, it's okay to miss deadlines or fall short on projections [unless it becomes a habit] as long as everyone involved is well-informed throughout the entire process. Hopefully SwC can provide us with some answers shortly!

6/4/2019 SwC Update

SwC has decided to cover the bitcoin network fee for player withdrawals while we build lightning network functionality. If we find players abusing this generous policy by requesting many small withdrawals management will be forced to make additional rulings at management discretion.

Our software refactor is expected to take weeks or months to complete, for it is a large project. We will introduce 'leaderboard' promotion before the software refactor is finished, as that does not require additional client functions.

^  Those 'bots' were prolly used as props to start games at the lowest stakes just to get some action going.  That's far from the professional bot rings that run on Stars and Party which rake in a decent amount of money.

I stand with Ukraine.
^  What poker site were you playing at, what stake and most importantly, can you remember their screen names.

Edit:  And when?

At first I thought that I wouldn't promote another poker site in this thread by mentioning it, but then I checked and it wasn't working anymore, so I think I can tell you. The name was btckings, and it was around two years ago. Btw, the owners admitted they had bots and even listed their screen names in their thread on bitcointalk. You can find it through search.

Regarding SwC Poker, I don't think there are bots playing at their tables. People might think there are bots though. I remember someone calling me bot at the chat. But I'm not a bot. Smiley

Lot of misinformation here, so I'm gonna try to clarify:

Yes, No Limit Hold'em bots are a thing and they are not bad. They can be pretty strong heads-up and beat midstakes online for small winrates. They are also non-trivial to find and none of us have the will, tools or sample sizes to do so.
~

From my experience, poker players usually say quite the opposite about No Limit Hold'em bots. I used to play with them a lot in the past, and I can say that they are easily outplayed, because after some time it feels like you can see their cards. For example, if they go all-in on pre-flop, no way they are bluffing, and you should call it only if you have a really strong hand. But if they raise like 30% of the pot during a game, you should re-raise to 100%, no matter what cards you have, and they will fold in most of the cases. Also, unless they have a really good hand, they will never call your raise on the pre-flop. And if they called, just keep raising, and they will fold most of the time. That's what I've learned from playing with bots for months a couple of years ago.

Why is it that non-playing observers can enter chat at tournament table but not at a ring table?

Probably because tournaments are attracting more watchers and they all want to congratulate the winner at the end.  Grin

That being said, as someone who plays on SWC a lot, I can tell you that none of the players there are good enough or play frequently enough to come even close to being a bot. Once the site grows to a reasonable size and there is incentive to run them on multiple tables, the issue may arise, but as of now, I'm 99.9% sure that bots are currently not a thing you have to worry about.

Yup, a lot.  Lol.

Have you tried looking at the OFCP tables?

I don't think we play the same limits...

May be you are wrong here. Do you know there is an AI that beat first poker players? They just compile every people intelligents into this bot and start to find the pattern to win the match. There is so many analyzation just for you to input into this bot. So to think that bot can beat human in a poker games, I think it is really hard to believe but still it is possible

Here
I see. Technology has never stopped developing and upgrading. AI bots can beat real pokers. Sure, it is a real probability, and nearly as same as in chess. AI can beat a legendary world champion in Chess. This is some of reasons why globally there are some people gave warnings about risks of AIs and AI applications in real life, in the future. Advanced AI bots are likely much more intelligent than medium-IQ guys.  Lips sealed

Human brains are better than bots. Play a few hands & learn how the bots react. If you know the pattern it's easy to beat bots.
Bots build by human, so how bots can beat human. I meant bots made by stupid human can not beat stupid human; and bots made by smart guys can not beat those smart guys. Because bots simply can not beat bots creators and someone whom have the same level of knowledge, skills and experience in tradin to build same bots.

I once played with bots, their game is easy to know and the cards they have are also easy to guess but defeating bots takes a long time because while provoke to stay play, I also have to make sure the card that i hold in order to beat with the bot card at least get the best.
Defeating bots is possible, but it takes a lot of time to observe how bots work. Furthermore, someone who want to beat bots can not use the same methods to beat them, even their methods are right, because bots will be upgraded over time, and their operational methods will be changed. Only highly experience people can beat bots; and the fighting between bots and bot-hunters is not a easy one for noobs.

Well playing bots isn't that much fun.

I played a lot before on PokerStars and there a lot of users, included myself, were using program to track users statics. Are there also such programs for SWC?

Where can we report if we suspect a bot?  I think there could be one right now just sitting and waiting at...

From my experience, bots are easily outplayed, and I actually haven't seen bots at poker tables for quite some time. I'd love to play with them. Smiley Where are they, at Cash Games?

If I was a site owner, I would never forbid using bots because:

1. Using bots is not that advantageous;

2. It's better when there are bots at the tables than when there is nobody at all.

Maybe it's only me though. I know some people find playing with bots boring.

You could definitively try [email protected], though I wrote to them a few days ago about suspected collusion.. and they just ignored the email. So don't expect much.
