Looks like Keith is getting involved in the official forums. That's brilliant to see.
Yes, it's very nice to see someone from KNC writing courteous and professional emails, addressing customer queries politely with well written and precise answers.

Direct link to Keith announcment: http://forum.kncminer.com/forum/news-and-anouncments/17857-forum-support

After that he did post another 5 times, first post 02:29 PM last 03:19 PM. If this trend continues I will have a look to knc forum a lot more frequently Tongue

Nov 15th update:

There' no issue with parts, just the guys developing the final revision (hardware, and software) wanted to optimize it further, so it's more ongoing performance improvements.

Which is it?  Did I miss a subsequent clarification?

what news we have about november shipping?

Mid next week, unofficially.
For jonoiv, ONE page back

Yes I read that but where did he get that info from?   You can't just post "Mid next week, unofficially."  without any source!  unofficially... from where? by who? when?
Why did you ask me where I read it then??

Since it was unofficial you can take it or leave it, why don't you post the op and ask him where he heard it.

But thanks for wasting my time trying to help you find something you'd already read.

what? you sent me on a goose chase to reread that last 25-30 pages of this thread, looking for the answer.   But it does not say anywhere.

I asked   "middle of next week for the first units or for the parts to arrive?"

the answer is no-one knows but based on what bitcoinorama said it's that mid next week is to start production. Not shipping!

Someone asked: "what news for November SHIPPING" someone else replied "Mid next week, unofficially."
You asked "middle of next week for the first units or for the parts to arrive?"
I replied quoting this "Mid next week, unofficially." with regard SHIPPING then pointed you to that post.

Is that not clear enough for you? nobody said it was a guarantee nor did they quote a source either KNC or Bitcoinorama.

If you had read the post I quoted then surely that would have been clear to you.

Why would there be anything relating to November shipping in this thread from before the KNC released information on the shipping delay posted on the 15th November so that would narrow down your search parameters considerably but since you'd already read what I'd regurgitated for you then I'm not sure what you mean.

Hi all,
From kncforum ...

Keith
KnCMiner Staff

Hi,

Current indication is that production will start Tuesday morning. We are doing what we can to get production started earlier and we will provide an update if anything changes.

When production starts, shipping starts the same or the next day.

Edit: Presumably.

My biggest concern now, is how long until the next pre-order!...
O'Rama....  can you ask for us...  a teaser maybe?

Still waiting for November hardware, but already asking for the next opportunity to spend money on..

Do you really think it will continue this way ?
(break-even in a month)

In contrast to you I still hope that KnCMiner doesn't announce another sha256-miner batch before Feb. '14
In addition I hope they skip the pre-order game for next gen. There's no more need for it.

Btw, did you consider that there's an upper limit for coins per day, as well as that more people mining means decrease of your personal part of the cake/network ?
BTC and mining is getting more and more public awareness, as you might know.
Not in China, only, but as well there's more and more each month about 'the Bitcoin Goldrush' and 'money printing machines' in the western media...
Today you might own 1/6.000 of the total network, in March it might be 1/100.000 when spending all your money on the latest hardware.

It might be faster over than you have ever could imagined.
The only difference to the GPU introduction once ago is the fact that there's a limit for ASICs right now. You can't buy them off shelf in the city center, yet. This difference disappears more and more with each batch shipped. And as soon the limitation is no longer relevant due to enough hardware produced and available, it will become exactly the same - in long term you convert your electricity in coins, but not making much profit.

And you still want to pay already for March gen (and in BTC ?) today without having a clue how strong the network will be at this point in time, as well as how far the BTC value might increase (maybe you pay in Feb 1BTC for sth. which costs more than 5 right now) ?
Sorry, but this sounds so stupid, no ? Better buy and hold coins...

I belive the question was if the missing parts would arrive this time next week or deliveries would begin this time next week.

Bitcoinorama, I understand you are giving unofficial info (and it's greatly appreciated), but could you answer the above question?   Since this time next week is a holiday in the US it could mean a big difference on how long delivery actually takes.

@Bitcoinorama

any ETA on the november batch?
or at least status?

I don't want to commit to something and have it held against me, but this time next week is looking rosy.

What's the general recommendation for running the "enable all cores" patch? Is it wise to run if a Jupiter is running average / just below average hash speeds? Any glitches encountered?

If you ar on fw 0.99, then no! Enable cores is inside the cgkncminer!

Here is an unofficial photo from bitcoinorama i reveived it at this moment:

Just received my KNC modules and got them installed.

I wish the upgrade modules came with some screws to secure the board to the case. Not a biggie but irritating nonetheless.

Using stock Intel CPU coolers for the time being as my Arctic i30s haven't arrived from amazon and they're are much warmer.

I picked up some M3-.50x20 and M3-.50x6 screws from Lowes just in case.  They can be found in bin H9.  H9 has the same screws in the hardware section of every store.  They are however common tip.  I prefer philipshead which can be found with Radio Shack standoffs.

Ah, too bad.  KnC shipping via UPS has run into a snag delivering the module to my PO Box.  UPS does not deliver to PO Boxes they have however delivered or mailed a post card to my PO Box informing me.  Fortunately I can pick up the international package at a UPS facility 17 miles distant sometime between 4:15PM and 6:45PM.

Time to look into the "trusted" friend to sign for your module (er hmmm...come to think of it all my friends are probably untrustworthy to take from UPS a magic machine where you put elec in one end and BTC comes out the other end able to turn into $$$ at your whim.....hmm...an interesting test for friendship heh)

so it's day 6 of the 5 - 10 days.  just wondering if there is an update or revised plan?

21st of Nov today, and the advert for "all orders paid now will be shipped in November 2013" was still running until 2 weeks ago when knc sold out.  So with that in mind, do knc think this will still happen or will only some get there Nov orders in time?

November shipping will most probably turn into December shipping for a lot of people.
You should have learnt by now that this is a trademark of KNC: they say one thing, but another thing happens (not intentionally obviously, but nevertheless it happens).

I think they will have learnt a lot from the October batch. I wouldn't be surprised if production took less time and more batches were sent out every day. I don't work for the company, so my opinion is pretty groundless, but if we are throwing around predictions then that is my 2 pence.

i understand cypher, he really got f**** with the first batch delivery. but i also am pretty confident they will start shipping around lets say 27th. so that should be enough to be delivered in november for the most of us.
