so it's day 6 of the 5 - 10 days.  just wondering if there is an update or revised plan?

21st of Nov today, and the advert for "all orders paid now will be shipped in November 2013" was still running until 2 weeks ago when knc sold out.  So with that in mind, do knc think this will still happen or will only some get there Nov orders in time?
Middle of next week was quoted earlier in the thread 'unofficially'.

middle of next week for the first units or for the parts to arrive?

Are you gonna ask me where your shoes are next or read the thread yourself :-)

What's the general recommendation for running the "enable all cores" patch? Is it wise to run if a Jupiter is running average / just below average hash speeds? Any glitches encountered?

a follow up question to this when you run enableallcores patch does that mean they are now *always on* or are they on only till the next time cgminer toggles them off and then back on etc etc\..I only have like very minor core problems maybe only 4 of them and 2 of them are maybe 3x a day...so if all it does is turn them all on and then it is right back to cgminer or the firmware enabling and disabling again I don' t see the point..thanks

enable cores just turns on all cores on and then restarts the machine...and most likely the cores will just shut off n on again...I have 2 boards that will have a max of 9 cores off to as little as 2...tryed temp fix but no go Sad oh well I'm getting close to max outta it so i'm happy

Still suffering the same Die 0 DC/DC low current issue.

0.99 F/W made no noticeable positive difference.

Someone mentioned shoddy soldering/grounding recently, has that been confirmed at all?

I have been reading the thread and trying to find out the best pool for a Nov order, so I preconfigure my miner.

I have started a poll on new thread.  Can you please vote.

LINK here soon!

As far as I am aware Eligius and Ghash.io are the only 2 pools that:

  • have fast enough speeds that you don't have no worry about variance
  • have zero fees
  • have merged mining (Eligius gives you 105% NMC while GHash.io gives you NMC, IXC and Devcoin)
  • TX fees are shared between miners

So for a maximum profit these 2 are the best pools.

I wish the upgrade modules came with some screws to secure the board to the case. Not a biggie but irritating nonetheless.

Standard PC 5.25" bay screws works just fine.

Yup I know but it would have been nice if they provided them.

I can understand KnC playing it closer to their chest for this release after all the hype and subsequent trials and tribulations around the October roll out they probably want to just do it a different way this time. But what was cool about the first batch was that it felt like you were more part of it with the pics and videos of the production run, you got a real sense of moving forwards of being part of something cool.

Thats missing this time round, and it would be great to get it back, is there any plan to release information regarding build progress? Some updates as to what stage the rigs are at or even some pictures or vids would be really awesome.

Just a thought.

Yes fond memories of delirium induced photojournalism via the torture of sleep deprivation throughout the kidnapping.

If I were going to the facility again I would certainly add more photos, but I have a few conferences to attend from next week right so I can't be there again. Marcus will be, but he won't be taking photos.

I certainly have more I haven't posted from before as I didn't want to bomb the thread, but they are from that initial week...

Posting pictures of the October launch might be counter productive on many fronts. Maybe you could make a photobucket album or flickr or something for posterity.

My intent was more about providing some sort of info-spike for the masses related to the current (Nov) build out to recreate some of the enthusiasm we felt we shared with the KnC team around the Oct launch.

Something like you did with the pics of the spare boards being packed.

Totally I agree with you on that, but do you know how much trouble that got me in?!

Of course not, but I can imagine, but personally I think it would have been worse if you hadn't, but thats just me. I think people here like info, even incremental info.

It doesn't have to be pictures but they can help. Of course it needs to be vetted and agreed by Sam or Marcus or whoever, it may be worth asking.
