@Bitcoinorama

any ETA on the november batch?
or at least status?

I don't want to commit to something and have it held against me, but this time next week is looking rosy.

Also they want to keep improving the design, get the pool up and running and give everyone here a chance to breath. This has been quite mentally and physically demanding. Hosting needs to expand etc. there is no shortage of work to do. I have plenty of content I've been working on for the site that needs some backend work before uploading, problem is it's not a current priority, and none of the guys I need to complete this are free to do so. I'd also like to work on my own pool for the guys who aren't in hosting, I have some cool ideas there...

wow. I've just checked KnC's repositories @ github and found out that hno (Henrick I suppose) is working on:

https://github.com/KnCMiner/bitcoin/commits/master

indeed a lot of things on KnC's plate, keep up the good work guys.

Cheers bro!

I assume, in here you will no find that much ppl taking you serious, as 99% have reached break-even.
Losses due to in/decreasing exchange rates when you request a refund are not KnCMiners fault I'd say.

Who let you out of noobie jail? At least you can't delete people's responses now you're in this thread.

I doubt you are going to get much sympathy in here throwing around your vague complaints and posting what is really just slander.

Don't feed the trolls lemonte, and don't quote them Smiley

Last time, the bigger boxes where delivered in the early morning, UPS even woke me up.
And today, now it's already launch time and I'm still waiting.. Undecided

Maybe KnC better ships next time upgrade boards in huge boxes, just to make sure the driver delivers them first when starting the daily tour  Tongue

@Bitcoinorama, any idea on when KNC will open up orders again?

They are basically adhering the network protection statement thing they promised not to destroy the hashrate unless any competition get greedy.

With that in mind it is unlikely to be this side of '14.

It makes no sense to harm current customers and those from the Nov batch.

These miners don't require much power and at least in my opinion do not require a 220 line like a 20,000 BTU air conditioner does. A Jupiter is only pulling what 600? 700?

think he ment 20 amp line usa direct (only thing on it is asic gear) vs probably a 15amp with other clutter on the line. so if I had a 15 amp wire line I'd replace the wire to the next gauge up 20amp and 20amp breaker etc...maybe overkill ..just saying   ..or at least that is what I did....... just in case...running a separate circuit in to the breaker box in the basement direct.

I think his point was that he had other power issues. Those issues were likely causing small voltage fluctuations and perhaps even drop-outs.

We have 220 (110-0-110) 100 Amp service as well. With all the shop equipment and computer mapping equipment it's touch and go when appliances kick in and the motors spike.

Those are the things you worry about.

There is no reason the supplies recommended could not run on 220V lines -- more efficiently.

Lots of my equipment can run on 220V and draws less current -- runs more efficiently and cooler -- and typically has slightly less power draw because of those improvements.

That aside -- you are correct --normally it would not be worth the effort to run 200 Amp service.  Especially to service a device that only draws 600 -- 700 Watts nominal.

But -- it would be good practice to run your miner(s) on a dedicated circuit -- were it easily done.

one more note and I'll shut up for the evening....  hehe
The new dedicated electrical service line for the miners really is looking to be helping stability as well.
I'll share graph results tomorrow when there's a 12 hour result.....
Night all

yep the only thing I have on my 20amp circuit in the basement is the miner and an old evon800v laptop to run putty ..and of course the sep fans blowing from the outside on the open case...also have a pretty heavy duty ISO power brick.........for all I know it may have some kinda elec filter stuff going on *was given to me forget how*

Beauty  Tongue

HEY.....where did you get the cool decals..mine is as plain as a baby's butt.....(I also only have one piece of foam on the top of one of my heat sinks missing the other 3 foam pieces.....)

the fiends

very pretty....

Searing

I notice in this and in another photo the rears are almost abutting the wall.  VRMs do get hot and their heat effects the modules.  I put a piece of cardboard between the VRMs and the module and flow air in a tunnel - easy it's a Merc and only a single module so cardboard on the outside of the PCB making the tunnel, the air passes over the VRMs and out the back - being kept sequestered from the module as it were, in addition to the Arctic Freezer w/fan.  When the extra module gets here it will go behind the first as my power supplies will be on the left.  I will probably mount two 2" diag 12v fans on the board blowing right toward the VRMs and perhaps a 120mm fan to the back behind the added module pulling air out.

It's a skewed perspective. I just measured the distance and there is 17cm between the miners and the wall.

Cyper, do your the guy a lot of Saturn owners didn't get a chance to upgrade their miners!

For anything related to politics, that was pretty interesting.

Basically, they don't want bitcoin to be used to fund terrorism or buy drugs.

Otherwise, they seemed quite interested in it's potential for innovation.

You need to read between the lines.   What i took from it was..  It's fine as long as we have a the right to cease funds, and every exchange muh collect personal details, same as a bank.

I guess people only heard what they wanted to here!  crypto will carry on regardless
What I got "Between the lines" Is that they want traceability, and identity; they were promised that....end of story.
Look for a huge jump in BTC price now! Wow.

The price is actually dropping.

This is actually a bit embarrassing, but it may help someone with a bad die/no amps on a VRM. I just got done installing a new 200amp service line to my home, and was very happy to shut down, to move the miners to the new, more powerful circuit... When I rebooted, one of the miners wasn't up to speed...
So, using bertmod, was able to quickly identify the board, and that a vrm wasnt getting any amps..(0.34).  I tried every enablecore, cooling, heating trick i could think of, and was really scratching my head, because that miner was the fastest before. I fiddled and prodded, tried every connection, and guess what....
It was a loose pci cable connection on the board...  I gave it a wiggle, and bertmod showed it fired right up!  Now we know yet another thing to look for... those pci connections can fool ya, and are connection critical....
