I can confirm now that the monitor script works, so the code I posted above works. I just had a die drop(had to wait 12hrs for it to happen) and the monitor (watchdog script I modified) detected within 30 seconds or so, then  stopped bfgminer, power cycled the cube w/ dropped die, started bfgminer. Die is back up and running =)
Why KNC didnt code it this way to begin with is beyond me.

How we can wake up dies at Titan?

Ive been working on updated watchdog script & webgui stats for titan.
Ive started a new git repo here:

https://github.com/GenTarkin/Titan

I didnt know how to fork knc's original source cuz it has submodules n crap and git is confusing as hell rofl!
So, I made changes locally then created the new repo u see above.
All files are the same except  a couple of the webgui files and the watchdog script. So, it would be safe to rename the original folders and put my new ones in their place.

Anyways, my modifications to watchdog script stops bfgminer, power cycle the cube that has die/dies offline, starts bfgminer.
Its worked 1 out of 1 times so far =P wishing another die would drop so could confirm functionality of script.

Heres what stats look like now:

How we can wake up dies at Titan?

I've had to roi some, however some respond to dropping the freq down. (some also like to play with the power settings, however though, i highly recommend a method of deduction; where you don't change more then one setting at a time, if you can help it. My advice is to think of the settings as a volume control and just turn them down slowly to the bottom then come back up slowly. (overclocking underclocking computer cpu styles. Without the power freq formulas because we just don't have one yet, haha)

Try as hard as you can to keep them all dust/insect free and cool as a preventative to killing dies. I've noticed they can just pop around 90+

I turn off the ones i have not been able to recover and have some on 250 that wake back up on restart FYI i've noticed they all respond differently all over the world, unfortunately so unfortunately, as far as i know; there is no tried and true method however.

I highly recommend giving it time to apply first and then shutting down and turning the power off for a very short time and then turning on. Time consuming, however, extremely rewarding in some cases, especially given the cost of the machines.

Fyi this info is all through this thread too, so maybe you, and anyone else wondering about these things might like to pm or jump in a chat room; related to these miners to get a more in depth and faster response from the greater knc miner community Smiley

P.s i am not currently available for pm support so no private messages please anyone Sad IRC (internet relay chat) will change your life though Smiley

can make any overcloked option for titans?HuhHuhHuh?

to 350 mhz?Huh
nope, I believe frequency is hardcoded or something, either way if you could do 350mhz u wouldnt want to due to the shitty power design of these things. 1 PCIe 6 pin connector is barely designed to handle even the 300mhz factory load settings. They should have AT LEAST used PCIe 8 pin connector.

Regarding Titan, would anyone be interested in a software fix which power cycles the cube w/ offending dies and restarts miner software?
Im still testing it out, but I noticed that part of KNC's code doesnt seem to work when rebooting pi, that is it, doesnt tell the dc/dc's to reset for the cubes like its designed to.
Ive implimented the dc/dc power off & power on into their watchdog script that runs while cgminer does and so far, I have it power off / on the cube that it thinks needs its die reset, instead of just issuing a soft reset to the fpga controller it issues a bfgminer stop, offending cube power off / power on, bfgminer start.
In testing, doing this manually works 100% to bring back dies that just drop off for whatever reason but are sill in fact good, they just need a power cycle.
The trick now is just placing it in the right part of the watchdog script(this is the part that is still in testing). But it worked correctly so far 1 out of 1 time since implimentation. =)
If anyone is interested, let me know, Ill post instructions if enough people want it =)

Clueless!
Any good pool

For liteicoij mining??
Exempt litecoin.org pool?L?

The best Litecoin pool I've found is

www.litecoinpool.org  NO FEES

Titan(s) run like a clock ..full out NO ERRORS consistent 650mh (I have 2 dead dies 1 each on 2 cubes)

Winter/Summer no diff

tried www.westhash.com and others high error rates high stale shares etc...so went with the pool with 0% error rate

anyway I WAS gonna mine LTC to BTC direct never got a multipool to work well enough with the Titan(s) to make the junk. Thus have HELD
all my LTC instead ...so I'm way ahead of what I would have been had I just mined to BTC as a result with LTC surge...

anyway my hassle free issues are like NONE on www.llitecoinpool.org

oh and as far as I can tell the POOL has gone down myabe 1x for 1/2 hour in the last 5 months....that also works for me

around the 12.5 BTC  block reward switch

It imho is a no brainer that WHEN/IF KNC gets its 16nm farm going we are all gonna hear about it pronto! The fact no such hype by their endless self promotion seems
to me to say ..they are not on the pipeline of even being set up yet *just saying imho*....if they we're deploying and putting stuff up I'm sure they'd be touting such
with pics etc just to keep their IPO money folk happy on showing (finally) progress ..but again this is just imho.

but yeah they miss our deadlines on stuff it is only fair the shoe is on the other foot and they miss deadlines when they are the only ones getting the chips out the door
in mass don't ya know ..only fair

whatever evil empire that they are they likely will announce and turn the switch on by the weekend or some such .....they do have the evil empire thing down pat I
must admit.....the sith lords of asic mnfg's

whatever it probably will be soon .....as all asic makers like to say

What changes can we expect of those charts if KnC soon brings their 16mn chip to mass production and Antfarm/Hashnest presents an S7 in a month or two? Would we see major changes?
Possibly no changes - e.g. it may already be happening and instead of just throwing all-new hardware at the network, they're just replacing the old hardware; hash rate for them stays the same, but profits (due to greater efficiency of the hardware) go up.  That's one school of thought anyway Smiley

Clueless!

Got the following in the Email on the class action against KNC

  http://kncclassaction.com/?wysija-page=1&controller=email&action=view&email_id=17&wysijap=subscriptions&user_id=219

They have extended the deadline to file..clarified some stuff.....still imho looks like a coin toss on if you can get your $$$ back or not *my view only*

I'm still confused thou...seems from the above the total fees paid will be the 15% fee ONLY ie 1,519.00 usd (if I remember correctly that was the amount)
this does not include appeals by knc or if knc wins.

Also the clarify  ..you'd be liable for a further (supposedly)
say 2,000 usd on a complete loss (again according to their scenario in the above link) you'd be looking at with the fee (1,519) something like 3.5k to say
(speculating here) say 4K if KNC takes the day in court...correct me if that seems ....NOT  to be a 'ballpark' on complete damages if KNC wins it all.

To further complicate the above each individual case stands it seems on its own merits...ie imho I see Neptune owners having a much better case (heck knc used
their pre-order equipment to build their data hall first as an example) then say Titan owners which does not have anything so frigging obvious again imho

anyway look it over decide what you think ..I myself am UNLIKELY to pursue this ...it still seems too vague ..esp the 'if knc appeals' extra $$$ in the kitty from
what I can read (you know knc is gonna appeal right?)..anyway with my 2nd titan at the right price I'm out and in the black ..but to be truthful if I had a Neptune
I probably would be looking seriously at this ..in again imho I think folk who got a Neptune have a strong case ..even on the individual case by case basis.

anyway link above is there for all to look over and ponder

feel free to correct me if my opinions above are 'incorrect' for those with better judgment on this kinda thing...just going by what I think from reading it over.
..I have no expertise on any of this ..again the above is all just my view

hope it helps someone and if you decide to act on this the best of luck Smiley

has someone details about this?

https://blockchain.info/pools?timespan=24hrs

They are growing pretty fast  Embarrassed Maybe their retired hardware gets profitable again, due to the current BTC rise.

https://blockchain.info/pools?timespan=24hrs

-cut-
But the most important thing to know about Bitfury is, they do NOT sell to home miners at all. They are strictly for large-scale, industrial mining operations.

Not too long ago, you could buy their miners at GHASH.IO, respectively exchange hashing power (GHS) against miners, but the prices were totally amiss.

Sorry for OT.

Bringing this back to OnTopic  Wink
