this firmware blows. back to 98.1 beta....
It hasn't ran 5 minutes...how can you make that assumption?
although I like the beta best so far as well... but need to give this a chance...lol

trust me, 5 minutes is all i need. hw errors way higher, lots of rejected etc.
ok...  Your machines.....
But I must say that if you'd been reading & keeping up with this thread (which I think you have), You should know that some dies need the chip to warm up before they activate... I too noticed the new FW started out a bit slower, but is now ramping up to speed that they are back up to temp....
5 or 10 mins isn't nearly enough to make such a judgement imho..
But if it doesn't pan out... I'll be the first third to say so....lol
and go back to 0.98.1 beta as well....   Grin
I'm at least going to give it a few hours.... before going back...
but not before trying enablecores, and trying again....
also... remember to clear browser cache

After looking all over their page and through several pages of threads I still am not finding their the delivery date for next batch.  Does anyone know?  I was just told I had it wrong with no clarification.

Try reading sometime...  (Just kidding)...I know there is a lot to sort thru!

I just noticed that my module order has gone from 'paid' to 'in progess' Smiley  That's gotta be a good sign...

  - Cgminer API always enabled (removed that setting from web interface)
  - Pool quota support in the web interface

Bugfixes
  - Fixed some memory leaks in cgminer
  - Fixed a number of bugs in the web interface
  - Turned off excessive logging in the lighttpd web server to prevent excessive memory consumption
the firmware can be downloaded here

why the hell choose any brand for a psu, any good psu will do
i personally buy anything with good stats corsair, ocz, antec you just need to check how the psu is build and how much they actually can deliver on the lanes they have
I have my small antec quattro here which delivers 6 rails with each capable of feeding 30 amp max and 170 max on the 3.3=5 volts rail.
This psu has one major drawback however because it has no power on/off switch.
But in general this monster has no had no problem feeding my 4 gpu system at all.

It got a robot psu switch and i am very happy with that solution

My question is what is going to happen with the upgrade modules are they now also on hold
And what does this it mean for the delivery of the upgrade modules effectively
As i read that it seems the building of the november orders miners seem to go first and as i understood it the upgrade modules are being send when the orders are finished on the miners.
Would that mean another month of waiting or ?

I have posted alot of questions towards knc but the time it takes to get an answer is insane long, i think the communication towards the community has to pick up some pace.
Its easy for them to prevent many emails and phone calls if they communicate onto the forums.
but as of yet on non of the actual communcations i see any of the knc people actually post at all besides the initial posts from sam cole.

Its so simple to add some information when you are going to sell a product, so people do not NEED to ask whats included
I do not wanna see a post from some forum member and to be honest alot of them are on my ignore list.

I want to see relevant information which make us clear what is going on.
Everytime they post something instant many questions pop up which should not be needed if the info was more clear towards us customers.

Again this is not a rant but a real concern, knc would have less a problem with people calling and sending emails if the info was not all the time in crypto language.

I took almost 3 weeks to get an answer from knc and what was said as a answer was not even an answer at all on my questions
Mark my words.......  a six rail psu will not work!  Use single rail only!

I would not use PCI-E to molex adaptors for a jupiter. those were designed with the 75W PCI-E limit in mind, and a single jupiter ASIC draws far more than 75w

Huh But that 75W limit is how much the card can fully drawn thru the x16 PCIe connector, not the power cables you plug into the card itself.

I like watercooling in order to move the sonic fan vibrations off-chip. However, having never used water, the pictures look like the pump is at the chip. Anyone know the physics of the water pumps? (turbine, etc)

What sort of vibration pulses (freq&) will be transmitted to the chip?

I'd think it'd play into a percentage of chips over time, maybe too long a time to be concerned with mining, but I'd still put the pump at the radiator or inline between the radiator and chip.
------  But no one ever asks me -----  haha

For a H80/H60 the pumps are on the chip, the one I showed is a custom watercooled setup, the pumps are actually housed in a reservoir in the drive bays of the computer, so quite a way away from the hardware.

Why would you be worried about the freq transmitted to the chip either from fans or from a pump?

A H80 and an i30 have roughly equivalent performance. Given that it appears these cores actually like running warm, I'm not sure what watercooling would achieve.

But I am obviously not discounting or disparaging giving it a go Smiley

Watercooling has been my thing for a while now, my latest creation (bit OTT) was a quad Titan monster. Most of which I sold to buy my Jupiter Smiley

Can you ask about the  Black Friday sell ?  Cool

It's sold out! Actually let me reiterate, there is no Black Friday sale, as there is no hardware to sell...besides that's a US holiday! Wink
