sorry to interrupt, but Avenger send me pm this afternoon saying thanks for the quota-patch I wrote
he had further questions regarding the quota feature of cgminer and how to apply it, would not make sense I guess in case he would not have a device and the patch applied on his web-interface

Quick, everyone put this guy on ignore.

thanks...  I'm pretty sure he has one anyway, just tryin to get the chap to "let go the hate", and take advantage of his offer, this is getting silly.

It's weird...  I've called KNC about 5 times total. I always got an answer.
I've had literally dozens of emails to/from different folks at KNC... always got an answer.
Maybe I'm just lucky, but I must point out too that I always call in the morning, about 9 or 10 am sweden time..
It baffles me.. a new RMA dept as well....

You didn't answer my question about a full refund. I'm only going to reply to you again if you give me a full answer to that question.

Avenger, there are times when you actually make logical arguments and actually help the community. Why balance that out with troll flame requests like the above?
Look. Any question I ask orama, he ignores it. Everyone keeps referring to my posting history, well you can look back and see that dozens of times. I ask a question. He ignores it and demands an answer off me about something.

When he said he'd sort me an RMA, I asked if it would be for a full refund. He ignored the question and once again demanded an answer from me. I'm getting fairly sick of his bully-boy tactics.

So I say "You don't answer my question, I ain't going to reply to anything you ask". Did he meet me half way, answer my question? Naw. He never answered my question, he shows no respect.

Seriously, this schmuck thinks he's the boss and can order people around? Ignore their questions and demand they answer his?

Fuck no. Not me.

Then he PM's people to come on here and demand answers for him.

People are saying I work for some competitor and yet swallow anything and everything orama says, even though he is and has been for a long time on the knc payroll. That's just laughable.

I'll remind you of this, which is still entirely truthful:
I have no ties to any other bitcoin or bitcoin related company. I am being 100% straight up and honest. And I am not bullshitlabs Josh Smiley

This is my stance from now on - I don't have to answer to internet trolls or KNC shills.

P.S. Anyone who want to hit the ignore button, go right ahead.
Avenger... I gotta point out that you look suspicious now...
Here's what I see....
1. You complained about not getting an RMA request thru email
2. O'rama said he would get you an RMA number if you just gave your order #
3. You refuse to give the required information to get the job done, and ask further questions, demanding an answer...

It leads to one inevitable question... Do you really have a machine?

If you do, and really did have problems contacting KNC, I really suggest you take advantage of the offer; becauseI see an "Olive Branch" being foolishly slapped away in that case...

Don't let your frustration or hatred get in the way of progress....
If I didn't care.. I wouldn't say a word....Consider yourself smitten
Good luck.

Dude...he can just mail it to customer support and have O'rama confirm that he's a customer. There's no need for him to post an order number directly.
Why do you think I should prove to some internet shill, who's been on here since July cheerleading knc, some unemployed student who landed himself a nice job for his impartial (sic) misleading cheerleading, whether I'm a cusomter or not? Maybe you think he's some kind of god, but I don't see it that way.

There isn't anything I can do to prove to people here I have a knc rig short of posting an order number. And I'm not going to publish private and confidential information on the internet to satisfy anyone.

Well isn't this a nice familiar site...someone says blah blah blah and another says you are wrong, blah blah blah...

and now sorry for being off topic *ahem!*...

but anyone noticing that their Jupiters stop hashing randomly?  The miner webpage inaccessible and the putty window crashes.  When i reboot it starts up fine again, but 2 of the 3 crashed again after 4 hours.  Will keep track of how long it takes for the next crash.

I get this maybe once every two days.

Seems likely it is same problem I have: running out of RAM. The handler for that chooses something to kill and does nto always kill cgminer, last time mine had that it was something to do with the web page that was killed so instead of a working web page saying the miner was stopped I had a not-working web page. Actually maybe even a cannot be pinged machine. I powered down and back up to get it running again.

I think we need a new "firmware" upgrade that gets rid of any RAM usage that isn't absolutely system-critical, as software bloat seems to have hit the limits of the beaglebone's RAM or some item of software in there has a memory leak.

Interestingly somewhere between 12 and 24 hours it killed the cgminer I was running 3.7.2 and ran the default one instead.  Huh

I don't know what to think of you Augusto.  Sometimes you are a complete moron like the the nitpicking over who generates a block and other times you make some really good points.

Well, I have to confess that I like to troll people sometimes, but for the sake of fairness and correct information. It is my weird way to communicate with other sentient beings. In the end, I wish all people a good outcome to their issues.

LOL, I have spent nearly 2 weeks playing ping pong with customer service trying to get RMA. The worst aspect for me is I have to send it back from Australia 4-5 days transit and then back, 8-10 days lost mining.

The difference between Bar, myself and say Avenger is that we're real customers and we're expecting reasonable outcomes.

In this forum, where every participant is free to express their feelings in accordance with the subject discussed, the only difference between you and Avenger is the username. Do not really matter if he is a real KnCminer customers or not, he is free to express his opinion as much as you are. Put him in an ignore list will not change the facts.

@FUKT: which firmware are you on, and when this happens do you just sort to restarting them?

@markm: If it is the RAM, are there any workarounds to prevent it so far?  I had the same experinece, I couldn't ping the machines, i had to manually switch them off/on.

0.98 on all machines, I just hit restart cgminer through chrome.

Technically Bargraphics and I had problems. I had 1 defective chip, replaced by RMA (took 1 week, due the RMA policy that I don't care for). Both Bar and I have had problems with the hosted service in the beginning and I had a failed miner which eventually got replaced.

I would have liked 24/7 support for the hosted equipment, but they were reasonably responsive. I would have liked a faster RMA policy, but again, my problem got resolved. The difference between Bar, myself and say Avenger is that we're real customers and we're expecting reasonable outcomes.
