Time will tell guys... Time will tell.

Most of us aren't looking to wait that long... we'd actually rather hear from Sam or Andreas Wink

Take care

Hmm, hardly going to be worth it if you pay for 4 flights at short notice. Maybe you could put two boxes inside one larger one, then you'd only have to pay for two seats on the return? I suppose they have a limit on the size, but surely the big box wouldn't be bigger than the average fat passenger?  Cheesy
You will be amazed how cheap flights from London to Stockholm are + RyanAir serves 2 Stockholm airports, so there is choice.
If they give me at least 3 days notice I can probably squeeze inside a budget of less than 200USD if it's not the weekend, which is less than the 240 I paid + quicker deployment + I get to securely transport the miners myself.

Cant you get one thats not fully assembled? Or at least with the casing not bent, like on one of those pictures?
Or disassemble it, I know Id get creative Smiley

That would invalidate the warranty + it will be bigger if it's flatpack.
The cheapest would be 2 single tickets on the way back.

Stockholm Skavsta Airport was recently voted as the 2nd most deceiving airport name in Europe. It's actually two hours+ outside of Stockholm city limits. Like flying to London and landing in Bristol.

dude, be patient. They are doing the best they can (and have been fucking impressive so far) so lets keep trust in them, cut them a break and just chill out!
+10000

I'm chill. No panic here Smiley And yes, what they pulled off is impressive.

Still, no excuse to not give an update on delivery date. They supposedly gave an answer by phone (shipment tonight). Why not put that on their news feed?

Remember the amounts paid for these rigs. It's not like we are ordering a $45 router here. Smiley

Cheers

They are doing a tremendous job, only their communication-policy could need some little boost.

But i guess we all can live with that...

If you are not in their position, you cant say that have no excuse to post an update. They are busy as hell right now making the miners. Even if they did give an update, someone would complain about something. Like i said, lets just wait until tonight, im sure they will keep us updated as they feel fit. You had faith by spending the amount you did, so keep up that faith and just wait.

Yup! I'm doing just that Smiley
Good times will come!

I'm just a bit worried that my ISP may shut me down for DOSing webservers with my constant page refreshing!  Grin

I wanted to go and get it myself, but RyanAir won't let me carry it on board even if I pay an Extra Item Seat.
How come? Is it too big as carry on luggage or did they give you some other excuse?

Just looked at their figures, if it was inside a box it would prob be too big as carry on - by a few millimetres.
"Strictly one item of cabin baggage per passenger (excluding infants) weighing up to 10kg with maximum dimensions of 55cm x 40cm x 20cm is permitted."

But surely you could have bought a seat for it?

You can carry it as hand baggage if you put it a thin plastic bag, but definitely not with the shipping box. But then no space for anything else.
But I have 2 boxes, so need to buy an Extra Item Seat as they call it.
Spoke with RyanAir 2 times about it to establish what are the dimensions allowance for it: 1st the lady on the phone was a little rude and said I can't take it as it will not fit in the seat and cannot put the belt around it. Not true.
2nd time the women on the line was more helpful and even put me on hold to confirm what I asked: so if I pass security they will let me take it on board, but will have to buy 2 extra item seats for each box. Or maybe just one and get the other one under my own hand baggage allowance.

I have to look at ticket prices again and see if its worth it (London - Stockholm) - 1 single on the way there and 2 or 3 singles on the back back.

so, if they want to start shipping today, they have to do it until 19:00

in Stockholm is now 18:18 so they have got ~40 minutes to ship.

I'm guessing you've never experienced Stockholm traffic during rush hour.

and you're right.)

Should have arranged a group-drive, to pick up and deliver individually, back through Europe. Be a fun road trip....and a valuable van!

you could run a generator and some 3g internet and hash along the way! lol

Hmmmm. A plug-in mining module for road vehicles, using the motor to invert the power needed. AutoHash.

You might have something there ASIC.  Shocked

Mobile hashing! PATENT PENDING

Im already on it!

A few BBB related questions have been asked recently.
Most have been answered already x hundred pages ago.

Power for the BBB ?
Each ATX power supply has a 4 pin connector that plugs into the controller board.
In the board pics the connector is bottom right if the 6 module connectors are along the top.

How to SSH into the BBB?
The link posted recently to the Adafruit instructions are not exactly correct.
Those instructions are for connection using USB.
It will be similar though. (easier IMneverHO)

Will the Angstrom OS be on a removable uSD card ?
It is possible but unlikely IMneverHO.
The BBB comes with Angstrom already installed on eMMC storage.
The uSD card slot for a stock BBB is unpopulated.
You can run a BBB without a uSD card installed
_OR_
install different OS on a uSD card and still have the Angstrom OS unused remain on the eMMC.
My WILD ASS GUESS is they edited the eMMC version of the Angstrom OS as needed.
It is possible they provide a uSD card with Angstrom OS.
