There is no thermal control on KNC's chip is there?
If so then careless overclocking would burn them! Then? What is KnC's policy on this?
I am sure that is what you really ask, though I don't know the answer...

Can they be overclocked?

Difficulty more than doubled in the last month. Ouch.

but only went to 65mil this time.... was lots of fear that it would of been closer to 70mil

probably not even hit 80mil on the next one which means a very good chance KNC starts hashing before 100mil

I am still hoping my miner starts hashing at 87mil...who knows.. maybe!!

so how many people actually preordered it - roughly? i assume knc would keep us in touch with progress to encourage more people investing. the fact there is no info i doubt they will make it for september imho. id rather not risk & just buy btc next time the price dips.

Well over 4000 if the order numbers mean anything related to sales.
I can see a lot of people chickening out as the predictions become gloomier though. A good few refunds.
Gonna need a huge price cut in November to make any sense too.

someone noticed the networkspeed after diff up on http://allchains.info/ ??

Its about 691030.03 GH/s  Shocked

it's this at the moment: https://blockexplorer.com/q/estimate

That's the next projected difficulty, not the hash rate.

It is current estimated hash rate

No:
http://blockexplorer.com/q
estimate - shows an estimate for the next difficulty.

it does that after every diffchange, wild fluxes until enough blocks are solved to get a good average... like 24 hours.

Since it just changed it needs a bit of blocks to go by before getting more of a better estimate.. I see this every time the next estimate is super high but clams down.. im guessing prob in the next 11 days (when the next change will be give or take a 1 or hours) it will go from 69mil (btw great number) to 80mil..  and just to let you know by the current average of diff changes every 11 days we have 11 more of these till Jan 1st..

That is not right, they are probably calculating over a certain number of blocks that include a portion that fell within the last difficulty level but using this difficulty level instead of the one that applied when those blocks were solved. I am calculating it to be right around 500 TH/s based on the number of blocks solved over the last 24 hours and the average difficulty of those blocks over the last 24 hours.
