I want to make something clear about our VaultBreakers.

There is NO scenario where I will allow KNC to beat us to market. If, by some miracle, they happen to be ready to ship before us. I will use my data center to spin up all your VaultBreakers until they are ready to be shipped (assuming they are shipped units)

Again, there is no way I will allow them to deliver hashing power before we deliver to our customers. This is my commitment to all VB customers. Please spread the word.

Scrypt Mining is my house, and I will not be beat in my own house smile

the guy is serious..look at his cloud hashing option on orders vs shipping ...ie you mine from the day you buy it ....if/when you tell him to ship it

he is aggressive....calling out knc by name not 'our competitors' again 'big brass ones'

4 neptunes rocking pic: http://instagram.com/p/qno9H4QqnY/
I only see 4/5ths of a single Neptune...  you thought you got four Neptunes?  Where's the 5th cube?
.... or the other 3&1/5ths neptunes?

*The pci plug in your pic is dangerous... use the other plug, closest to the psu with shortest length ... no extensions  The 16awg wire there at the splice could catch fire. 290 watts is far beyond 16awg's spec limits... and a splice like that is "scary"   just sayin'    You may even get better hashrate if you are below 3.4th/s by much. "Starving" the cubes at startup results in dead asics/vrm's. Maximizing available current at boot is critical.  Good luck.

was thinking about an alternative to the KnC "box" design ...

Here's a simple open design, having the boards sitting above the base more than they are now, as well have the base itself raised off what ever its put on with venting underneath ...

suggestions ...? Roll Eyes

but the individual cube design by KNC is for easy quick swap into their data center (the first one)
I bet if you look at the boards the holes mounting the card to the metal base is the same as for the
jupiter setup ...for easy addition to the data hall......

heh....where do you think the other half of the Neptunes  in the que to KNC are going ...heh  surely not 'customers' Smiley

90 degrees opposite way the holes are...  but yeah...  I can just imagine the wiring mess in the data-hall now....  Grin

Clueless!

er crap....likely on repeated points to this post to KNC it will just be ignored...I mean KNC has a "no refund" policy so no great loss
to them to ignore the above...but with the above GAW Vaultbreaker ...they offer refunds...so whatever you want to say he
has put his money where his mouth is ..ie big brass ones...got to respect that

anyway Titan (due to no refunds) is likely it for me...i find www.coinbase.com much more 'soothing' lately ....

getting tired of the 'mining' drama esp since it is all gonna go 'corporate' anyway

Looks great...    I'm sure everyone would rather of had something like that.
I think the only reason we have the "Cubes" is because they needed to be sure they could deliver over 3Th/s, and whatta mess!

They may decide to just produce boards for themselves from now on, filling a few more Boden facilities up...who knows.
It may depend on BTC price a bit as well...  if the price should suddenly double or something, and stabilize...
Hard to guess what they're actual cost of producing a Neppy is, where the cut-off point is for maintaining a profit margin on sales.
"How low can they go?"

has anyone got any idea when batch 2 will begin to be dispatched , unsurprisingly knc are mute on the matter?
Most likely September 30th (last day of q3) if they still don't use Astro-glide....  anything sooner would be a shocking surprise.

eh, Biffa...  agreed... Removed my loving response to just let their Karma shine through.

looks like phonie is still working hard to keep his critics muffled despite his repeated false claims of 'ignoring' them

like i said - i've thought on more than one occasion that its done intentionally, perhaps to disguise other less 'quirky' objectives.

How do the recent refunds fit in the picture of the allegations that KNC was holding back refunds due to the BTC price not being profitable?

Not really because I got a refund 2 days ago in the middle of a 7 day drop down to $615

Uuuuhhh.....   Pure speculation?
Totally irrelevant I'm thinking, because they stated(boasting) in an interview that they were careful to cash all Bitcoin every day. (A million kronor/day months ago)
In which case, the CURRENT value of BTC at any one time is irrelevant.

Who knows the REAL reasons for that....?  KNC does... but I'm betting they may have spent a bit too much on the datahall, and paid out profits to investors too soon... and had to have 12000 stupid cubes made at the last minute because of underperforming chips...  or something along those lines. Add that to shooting yourself in the foot several times with the announcements like "Plan B", spondoolies and Bitmain competition... and others = Refund rush in waves that simply couldn't be satisfied.

gotta let a coin be a coin
I wonder if theres any remote chance in this stage despite their tos to get a Titan refund (10k) or if it would be a lost cause. I really dont want to deal with Kncminer anymore and need the money to buy a house.

ask them and be politely persistent. Explain your situation and maybe you'll run into the 1 human there that has a bit of decency left. There be none, but it doesn't hurt to try.

Sorry to say it, but the "Damage is done"  No refunds on Titans, and the price was so high there's no chance of even auctioning Titan for ROI... Your only hope imho is to scrypt-coin-hop your way to a possible ROI but even that looks sketchy with 800 alts and swarms of coin-hopping scrypt-mining junkies, and very few coins with an actual useful purpose.  Litecoin droppage scared ya eh?   Many in same boat.  I always was/am leery of alts, and don't believe any one will hold their value, barring select crime supporting cryptos like Darkcoin. Might as well call it "Crimecoin"  Cheesy
