I wonder if theres any remote chance in this stage despite their tos to get a Titan refund (10k) or if it would be a lost cause. I really dont want to deal with Kncminer anymore and need the money to buy a house.

In order to increase value for KnC customers we are adding one extra Neptune miner to each pre-ordered Neptune in batch one and batch two.

but it depends on if you trust the lying fucks.

The hash-while-you-wait was supposed to be completely free, but they ended up putting a price on it to screw everyone out of it.

lulz I like those KFC zingers.  I remember somewhere else where KNC talked about the 2 for one thing and remember the wording being tricky which is why I was confused.  That May newsletter does seem to indicate that its per machine.  Guess we will find out seen since I just emailed them to see if I could get a mix of Titans and Neptunes for my 3 customer appreciate batch Neptunes.

Does anyone know if you are supposed get one bonus machine per Neptune ordered or one per customer regardless of how many Neptunes you ordered before?

Like the S1, adoption should happen quickly and Bitmain ships in quantities instead of long pre-orders that never ship like BFL, KnC and others.

Bitmain just sank KnC ...

True, but they kinda did it ages ago, by matching the Neptune price exactly and shipping immediately.

Bitmain were dollar for dollar back in March and most who refunded on Neptune but wanted some toys to play with bought from bitmain and had 3 months extra/earlier hashing at the same price as Neptune. Probably bitmain rigs were bit more on electricity, but I'm sure the lower difficulty more than made up for that.

Bitmain wiped out Neptune. They probably didn't need to keep lowering their prices, but they did, until their price matched exactly Neptune per GH Grin

(N.B. Do the math - their current price of 0.988BTC matches exactly)

Shipping from stock, they have destroyed BFL/KNC's cosy pre-order business.

Look, i don't want to pile on, but apparently Neptune is a good product in everything, but the price.
Yet, batch 3 in Q3 (when?) is stuck at $5995, which is obviously non-competitive right now or about to become such.
Why not be aggressive, make a Polyphemus or something (at 10Th) for $8999 or even $9999, but release in one week.
That kind of machine would probably sell.

Truthfully Avengers posts were some of the main reasons i refunded.... theres no denying facts...and i appreciate his posts that can help other newbies like myself

On another note i still have to setup some Neppys for a friend ,

Im planning to use 3xEVGA supernova 850w G2 per neptune
I cant seem to find out what gauge are the pcie cables that come with the psu and whether or not i will need custom cablez.
Does anyone have prior experience with these psus and can shed some light on if im going to need custom cablez or not?

~Thanks

the pci-e cables that comes with the PSU are usually 18awg. Based on my experience, you should choose the PSU with 8-pin connector at the PSU side. I have 1x Corsair RM850, and 2x CoolerMaster V850, and the PCI-e cable of CM is much hotter than Corsair's. The difference between the two PSU brand is that Corsair uses 8pin-to-6+2pin pci-e, and CM uses 6pin-to-6+2pin.

I can predict what will happen. They'll eventually start asking for money before they are made. That alone will deter lots of people.
hahaha   wow, nailed it there... like they've been selling Titan preorders for months.  Tongue

Neppie report"
Our two stock unopened cube neptunes settled in like the rest, around 3.45 or so a piece. They seem to be unaffected by the scorching daytime temperatures, versus moderate Maui nights. They just chug away. Since we got a little break on the diffrise, they still pull about .195/day combined.

Apologies if this has been asked before, which option in your opinion is better?

Hash while you are waiting,
Neptune or
Titan ?

Thanks ....

if it were me i'd pick neptune...least then you'll hopefully get it in august or sometime around there...with titan who knows when knc will ship it...member they have to mine on it first to get as much money as they can before giving it too you Wink upto you really but imho the neppy is the safest bet...don't even think about hwyw

none of the above - buy bitcoins, not KfC

I think @Madazam has already paid so he has to choose one shitty options. @Madazam, there is no answer to it, and you have to calculate by yourself, e.g. when your item is expected to deliver, and what is the estimated price of bitcoin/litecoin.

HWYW may not be a good option, coz it only mine for you for at most one week and you have to give up your other rig. as for titan and neppy, you should choose wisely. no one can "predict" the delivery time, nor the future cryptocurrency price...
