either it is a temporary ban, or he banned himself using a "secret question". Then there is a question on the second option, if he banned himself, why didn't he remove the signature?
There's a third option:
Lauda is banned in the same way as satoshi, such that it isn't possible to even log into the account anymore.
Phew!
I don't think Symmetrick Ratimov deserves such attention from theymos. You are telling he stands on the same high as Satoshi and Lauda? No way!

Xal0lex, what's that with this "Ratimov hatter" statement. Are you still soft for Ratimov even after all these? My man!

Here, maybe I will explain to Xal0lex why he didn't remove the signatures if he explains the much bigger stupid things that SymmeRattrick did.
For example, why did he delete all the posts, I believe he knows that they are all archived on the ninjastic site and Loyce's club.
Or, Why was he aggressive when NotATether opened a thread with a collection of crypto debit cards?
Next, Why did he give vengeful negative feedback at the beginning, and then delete them all later? Or why did he edit the trust list with revenge?

Almost everything he's been doing for the past few months is completely inexplicable and contradicts common sense.

Of course, all active threads about him should be closed, until he appears again or exposes himself through another account.

I am no detective but it is probably worth to take a look at the accounts that spread the news about Ratimov before anybody else. They might be his alts. Especially the low ranked ones. Had Lauda been here, she would have put it all together in the speed of lightning and blazed out red trust ratings...

I was skeptical too about the whole story and that announcement from him - but then wondered about how the guy deleted thousands of his posts after posting that announcement on one random thread. And now - that post has been removed, someone who handles the account did it.

Well, like what dkbit98 said, it could be that he used a bot with an automated trigger word to delet those posts; he has reduced the account to a hero rank but foolishly did not remove the signature code and Avata; or, should I guess, it was an international act to get the account banned or just foolishness. If Ratimove is actually deceased, then why would the Symmetrick of a guy change the username and also delete the post of Ratimove? Based on my assumptions, Ratimove is still in this space.

Quote
He is using some automated bot script  for this job and that was activated post mortem with trigger word.
This was probably one of worst job I ever saw in covering his own tracks.

If Ratimov really dies - RIP for him. If this isn't true - I don't know why we should waste energy following his game trail.

I am very skeptical about this whole death-cooked-up story. In theory, the name Ratimov is now dead on the forum, but it is very doubtful if the human behind that name is dead.

After I joined the forum, I got to understand that there are many reputable members who contributed positively to the forum, if looked up through bpip.org, one can actually tell they had a good reputation on the forum. They made quality comments and also contributed to the growth of other members through their merit threads and also other important website they built to help the forum. Ratimove was one of the member I also counted as a reputable member in the league of other reputable members.

Life happened, and things turned against Ratimove. It actually turned out that his ways and dealings on the forum were questionable with his unethical acts. After his issues got escalated, he probably could not handle the heat, so he had to change his name to something else (Symmetrick). I guess he actually changed his username to go undetected for some time.

I feel doubt regarding the thread on Symmetrick, saying that ratimov is dead. Did he die of a heart attack or what? Or probably Ratimov (the original account owner) died a long time ago, and the account was just being handled by the so-called Symmetrick.

I am very skeptical about this whole death-cooked-up story. In theory, the name Ratimov is now dead on the forum, but it is very doubtful if the human behind that name is dead.

You are correct.
I have been severally been quoted by lovesmayfamilis for not following up what the is saying  about and, what happens most times is that the writer being the op might be trying to pass a message while the reader may not completely comprehend what the op is trying to put down there, at the point where poster comments something not related to what op is saying it turns out to be that such person doesn't read post.

So, to me the best thing to do is that whenever I am commenting I will try my best to make sure I have at least read first page even though I couldn't finished all but I will grasp some meaningful things from quality poster. Other things again I don't do is whenever I am so tired or being disturbed by my daughter I will relax won't bug myself to comment instead I will skip or wait whenever I have free time to read then I will come back to read the post again before commenting, so our brother Agbe I think you should also try to apply this things I said here it could help you too.

Holy shit, I feel 10 times dumber after reading this post. You won't be commenting, but you did. You talk about your daughter bothering you? What the actual fuck?

The person, who hired Ratimov, hired him for a reason, right? Why didn't they hire you? So, it's logical to assume that they checked Ratimov's profile, including his posts, number of merits, trust rating, it was also their duty to check references of left trust and after that, hired Ratimov. They would notice that Ratimov was deleting or wiping his posts and topics. I think when we pay lots of money, we care about why we pay, how we pay and whom we pay. I am a very responsible person and can't imagine other people being so naive, especially those who have lots of money and run a serious project.

Look. I believe none of us are here to debate about it. But you cannot expect everyone to follow the rules/ethics or whatever thing we are supposed to follow. There is a rule and you will always find some people who break it. But we were talking about a business who hired Ratimov as a signature participant. You did not learn the forum in one day. You had to spend at least a couple of months to understand how the feedback system works, and how the other forum features work. But it is ironic when you expect a new start-up to know everything about the forum. It is their own mistake that they did not consult with the manager before they hired those members. Royse stated in a thread that he contacted TSC and phillipma and then came to know that those members were already contacted and hired by [banned mixer] team and they already paid upfront. The question you were asking was why they did not pay attention to the negative trust; probably they did not understand the importance of that feedback. Or they thought having one negative feedback is okay because he has 12 positive feedback as well. You cannot expect others to act like they are experienced when they are not.

I'm sure it's out there somewhere but I am too lazy to dig it up, it had been explained that the team hired him because he made a very good review that really helps contributing to their platform's development.

Hm, bpip doesn't show any changes in account's status.

It has been said many times that BPIP does not always show user bans. I think there are at least two variants: either it is a temporary ban, or he banned himself using a "secret question". Then there is a question on the second option, if he banned himself, why didn't he remove the signature?

Of course he didn't sell it, he used it to focus the attention of forum members on that account, and now the only question is what was his goal with all this.
I don't think that there was any goal, or that even wanted to make people think that account changed hands. He probably just stop giving a fuck about how he is being perceived on the forum therefore started speaking more openly, that made some people thinking account changed hands.

However, all this is not important now, because Ratimov, or whatever his name is now, has been banned according to the moderator's statement.

The user Symmetrick has been banned, so haters of this user can breathe a sigh of relief. So discussion of this issue has lost its relevance.

Imho, his recent actions confirms that Ratimov never sold his account (as many suspected he did) as no sane person would pay for an account and then do what he is doing, spending God knows how many hours deleting 10k+ posts.

I can't believe that there is so much anger in him and that he can't control it, he is able to delete posts for hours. He was obviously seriously shaken by the whole reputation thing about him, but no matter how much he wanted to leave this forum, the urge to erase everything he did here was stronger.

The point people are trying to make to you is if you don't understand what it is you are commenting on, you don't need to leave a comment! You can just move on to something else. If you do make a comment, be prepared to run the risk of people questioning WTF you are talking about.

Oops, I didn't know that. Ratimov exposed when Tumbler launched a signature campaign, wasn't he?
Yes, he was exposed already. However, the new project managers in this forum are mostly unaware of these developments. It is possible that they didn't pay attention to his recent actions, or even if they did, they decided to continue with him because he is one of the top merit earners.
The person, who hired Ratimov, hired him for a reason, right? Why didn't they hire you? But he started doing strange things like wiping out useful threads, deleting feedback, and wiping out the trust list. He have withdrawn the funds from a contest where he was the sponsor. Maybe there are many more that I do not remember at this moment.
The fact is, Tumbler team probably lost money and it didn't happen like one day Ratimov woke up and disappeared. He was exposed with a visible negative red trust and references and Tumbler team should have been more cautious. It's another thing when you pay money to someone trusted and get scammed unexpectedly and it's different when you pay money to exposed person.

At this point opinions are probably not going to change so it's all just going to be us talking in circles.
You are right, I stop here.

In the end does it really matter?
Posts are gone / deleted  / moved. Almost all active members know the facts of what happened, the why we will probably never know.

At this point opinions are probably not going to change so it's all just going to be us talking in circles. Not that doing that is a bad thing, just that the odds of anyone changing anyone else's view of Symmetrick / Ratimov and what happened are just about 0.

No, no, you get it wrong. I don't say that Ratimov is right and did a right thing. I mean, when you know with 100% certainty and proofs that person is a liar, cheater, scammer, etc, you shouldn't hire him, should you? From confirmed scammer, you should expect to get scammed.
I don't think you have followed his entire case. Otherwise, you won't say these things. Ratimov wasn't a scammer or a cheater. Maybe he lied somewhere, but the fact is, we all lie at some point. The main reason Ratimov's fall started was his behavior. He has a terrible personality when it comes to talking with others. Whenever you oppose his idea, he will attack you. He will try to find your mistakes to prove you are wrong instead of fixing his own issues. He has abused the feedback system for his own benefit.

Ratimov could have handled all these things by saying sorry and accepting his abuse. But he started doing strange things like wiping out useful threads, deleting feedback, and wiping out the trust list. He have withdrawn the funds from a contest where he was the sponsor. Maybe there are many more that I do not remember at this moment.

Yes. I am talking about Tumbler signature campaign. It wasn't known that the mixers would be banned after January 1st when they had completed the deal. philipma1957 himself received 6 months' payment upfront and other contract-type participants also received the upfront payment. I have seen this somewhere, and it was philipma1957 who posted it.
Oops, I didn't know that. Ratimov exposed when Tumbler launched a signature campaign, wasn't he?

Also, in case Ratimov received 6 months payment, it's the fault of signature campaign manager. I don't understand, why should you hire a person who lied everyone, got exposed and left a very negative impression on everyone. I wouldn't blame him even if he stole money from sig campaign because he was exposed and everyone knew who he actually was.
The campaign manager didn't hire Ratimov for the signature campaign. I have seen here or somewhere else that some participants were hired by [banned mixer] management and have been paid upfront. Strangely, you wouldn't blame him if he stole the money from the signature campaign. Very unexpected statement from you.
No, no, you get it wrong. I don't say that Ratimov is right and did a right thing. I mean, when you know with 100% certainty and proofs that person is a liar, cheater, scammer, etc, you shouldn't hire him, should you? From confirmed scammer, you should expect to get scammed. When you know that person is a scammer/liar and you still pay him to do some job for you, you are here to be blamed for hiring him. So, it was a huge mistake from them to hire Ratimov for promoting their business because person with negative rating and attention can't bring any good to the project, why should I click on a link that's promoted by scammer? Logical question, right? Another mistake was to pay him 6 months budget upfront. Two basic but important mistakes were done.
