Hi CPU load in Task Manager 39%  anyone knows how to fix it? is it normal?

I'm getting an odd error with v20.4 where one GTX1080 card is randomly reporting 2-10 GH to the mining pool and requires a reboot to report and display (on the miner console) the correct hashrate of about 34-38MH. The reported values show in the console as well so it's not a reporting glitch. I also get a couple invalid shares so it seem like overcloking instability, but I get the same reaction with or without overclocks on. Odd thing is this started this week, the miners was stable ealier on 20.4.
When the reporting goes haywire all the stats of the card look fine in GPUZ, real world hashrate drops to about half because of invalid shares. This is without overclocks and the GPU at 44c and memory has additional cooling and below 60c externally. GPUZ doesn't report memory internal temps on 10xx cards.

Anyone else having these oddities?

Could be the card is on it's way out. It's been much more stable with the newest version, so that was an improvement. I know about the known issues in prior versions.
I'll try the low-load mode to see if there is any difference. The odd thing is 20.4 was stable with a good overclock for a week and the temps are well under control. Prior versions were crashing every 1-3 days.

Huh Huh Huh

Can anybody help me by telling me where I need to put the --mt command in t-rex? I have a 3080 and a 1080ti and I need the ethenlargementpill but to be honest I dont want to download it. I have had to wipe my computers multiple times because of that thing! What I mean specifically is do I need to run the command like this

t-rex.exe -a ethash -o stratum+tcp://us2.ethermine.org:4444 -u 0x2D2D29a18ad4deCD382CBcedEFb422FB97f30382  -p x -w --mt 1 rig0
pause

or like this

t-rex.exe -a ethash -o stratum+tcp://us2.ethermine.org:4444 --mt 1 -u 0x2D2D29a18ad4deCD382CBcedEFb422FB97f30382  -p x -w rig0
pause

or what is the correct way to give my 1080ti the --mt (it is gpu1 in case that information is vital)

MANY THANKS IN ADVANCE!

You can set --mt at every place - but your first one will not work with -w --mt 1 rig0  Cheesy
I prefer to set such things at the end of the commandline

t-rex.exe -a ethash -o stratum+tcp://us2.ethermine.org:4444 -u 0x2D2D29a18ad4deCD382CBcedEFb422FB97f30382  -p x -w rig0 --mt 1

The RTX3080 will ignore --mt 1 in every case.

Hi guys,

I have one ASUS 3060Ti TUF Gaming 8GB, also one Gigabyte 3070 Eagle 8GB. Using Windows 10 and last T-Rex. Interested in best config for my cards, but with T-Rex params. I would like to not use MSI Afterburner, if I can.

I am not very happy with my current config. I get about 63 MHs for 125w with 3060Ti, and 61 MHs for 134w with 3070.

What I have (first GPU 3070, second 3060Ti):

t-rex.exe -a ethash -o stratum+tcp://mypool --kernel 0 --pl 56,63 --fan 64,55 --mclock 1300,1530 -u xMYDIR ...

Sure you have better settings to share...

I have a few merits for rewards... Cool

I am interested in maximun efficiency, not maximun hashrate.

TIA.

Hi is there a way to fix low intensity shares mining ETH, I use hiveOS with t-rex after I opened the log in two of the rigs

Low difficulty or invalid share, 36ms … GPU #4
but in another rig
Low difficulty or invalid share, 9723ms … GPU #3

both rigs are mining with 1080 Ti

Hi,

is there a way to disable API server?
Cannot find if exists in the -help

Answer: --api-bind-telnet 0 --api-bind-http 0 will disable it.

Why did the ETH mining hash rate keep decreasing?
Or t-rex have some changes that affect our hash rate?

Do you have any recommendations to adjust settings for both 1070 and 1080ti?

Or this is because of Dag increased?

TREX is fine for RTX3060 using Windows Developer Unlock, I even dual mine with it:

Is that your hashrate on Zil? or its ETH?

Any difference in power consumption if you do dual mining? Planning to dual mine but the problem if it increases the power consumption it's useless compared on mining only ETH?

Discussed very often here. All Nvidia Pascal GPU from 1050ti to 1080ti decrease hashrate with every new DAG epoch and it named TLB bug. Zil use same algo like ETH so power consumption and hashrate is the same, but read more about Zil to understand how it works!

Maybe core limits?

Same Card 1070:

ETH @ 4.3GB DAG             27 MH/s @ 2000 Core Clock (max before crash) Mem +90 (more does not help)
CLO (ETH Algo@ 3GB DAG) 35 MH/s @ around 1800 Core                         Mem +1000   -5 Watt vs ETH

Other Algos are now more profitable than ETH when used with +1000 Mem and tuned undervolt. Use less Power (ETC -10 Watt, VTC -30 Watt!)

Depends on your Electric Power price ;-)

I just set --lock-cclock to 1000 to my 3080 and 800 to my 3070

I did not improved the consumption, but at least, core clock is now locked fine and stable
Still 96mhs@220W for the 3080 and 63 mhs@120W for the 3070

Thanks Smiley

Guys I using few weeks PhoenixMiner on six pc with RTX3070.

After every few days on +- 2 pieces PhoenixMiner crash, and close from running applications phoenixminer.exe.
This is doing only sometimes, randomly, always only on a few pieces, not always on same computers.

All six computers are identical, same windows, same updates, same applications, same hardware specs (W10+5800H+RTX3070+16GB+1TB).
Via MSI Afterburner I only downlocked GPU Core, GPU MEM is left on default speed, no OC.
My computers run always +- 2days at a time. After these 2 days are switched to WindowsSleepMode for +- 8hours. And after again start mining for +-2 days at a time.
Now my computers have vbs script/file in windows startup folder, for automatical launch bat file for PhoenixMiner.

So today I migrate for test 1 computer to T-Rex, because I read that T-Rex have function watchdog, if app T-Rex crash or stop correctly works that app be restarted.

Works this function watchdog as I mean?
And is this function watchdog automatical turn-on in trex or I must write some specific parametr into bat file?

Thank you all what have more experience with T-Rex for any tip/help. 👍
hi, from description

--no-watchdog              Disable built-in watchdog (watchdog enabled by default )
--watchdog-exit-mode   Specifies the action "A" the watchdog should take if the miner gets restarted "N" times
                                   within "M" minutes.
                                   Format: N:M:A. Valid values:
                                                  N: any positive integer,
                                                  M: any positive integer,
                                                  A: r(system reboot), s(system shutdown), e(miner exit)
Actions "r" and "s" require running the miner with administrative privileges.
                                   Examples:
20:10:s - watchdog will shutdown the system if the miner gets restarted 20 times
                                             within any 10 minute interval
5:7:r   - watchdog will reboot the system if the miner gets restarted 5 times
                                             within any 7 minute interval

## Watchdog
Watchdog is intended to observe miner state and restart T-Rex if it crashes or hangs for any reason.
Also, watchdog can optionally perform auto updates if a newer version is available.
We recommend using the watchdog to avoid any downtime in mining and make sure your GPUs are busy 24/7.
If you do need to disable the watchdog, you can do so using `--no-watchdog` parameter.

Hi, thank you for your post. So I can set watchdog function as:
*disabled application autoupdates (I don't like automatic updates of everything)
*but enabled trex application restart if stop work or crash
right?

Learn by yourself? No one knows the best settings for your cards, because you must find your sweet spot.

On 1070ti i use 1800core 4600mem and 900mv -> 34.6mh
on 1060 1800core 4250mem 900mv -> 23mh at the moment
