Today's Global T20 Canada 2024, Brampton Wolves vs Vancouver Knights, 11th Match was a really great match, Brampton Wolves vs Vancouver Knights, VCK team players wasted a lot of balls early, Reeza Hendricks performed very poorly. However, the VCK players performed well towards the end, with Berrington and Asif Ali forming a formidable pair at the end. Berrington took 38 off 25 balls and Asif Ali 36 off 17 balls. And in the end VCK could collect 149 runs losing 4 wickets in 20 overs.

In today's match BTW team players showed good performance in both batting and bowling, BTW team Kobe Herft, and Jack Jarvis these two players did not play well. Moreover, every player performed brilliantly, Beau Webster failed to score a half century for just 1 run. However, they lost 4 wickets in 18.1 overs and collected 150 runs to win the match.
You are right, Brampton Wolves impressive performance in this Match and winning by 6 wickets and more then 10 balls left in the match against Vancouver Knights. Brampton Wolves moved to the number fourth position on point table after winning this match they will 2 matches and also lost 2 matches in this session. The Player Of The Match is Beau Webster for his all round performance in bowling picked single wicket by just giving only 16 runs while in chasing target they scored 49 runs unbeaten from just 37 balls, unlucky he missed a well deserved half century by 1 runs short but win the match Brampton Wolves very easily. Vancouver Knights are now bottom position on points table after lossing 4 consistent matches and almost out from the Global T20 Canada league.
Yes, their rank still very bad and need more victories to promote in next ranks like third, second and First. In this 11th match, Vancouver Knights has begun this match first with batting Inning by winning the toss task and their performance in this inning was not very good and their managing Defeating target was also normal total 149 scores with loss of 4 wickets. Last two batters made good batting partnership after losing 4 wickets and these also not played well. Both Asif Ali  and Richie Berrington were managing 74 scores partnership and collected 36 and 38 scores respectively. But their bowlers did not have much capacity to restrict the batter of For achieving their target and faced defeat. Beau Webster supported their sqaud to secure victory with not out and managed 49 scores. Thomas Draca made a burden to Vancouver Knights batter by picking these wickets Reeza Hendricks and Usman Khawaja. This was the very important victory for Vancouver Knights sqaud for reaching to next matches.

Jitesh Sharma made his debut in 2022 for India that's the difference even though when they are in same age bracket. Jurel played exceptionally well in his test opportunities and I am sure he will get his days. Samson scored a century in SA then he was dropped from ODI which is what I am talking about, if you want to try out a player then give them a fair run and if they failed then just dust them permanently instead of pulling in and out.

Samson fans are very vocal and attack the selectors every time he is not selected. Perhaps this is the reason why he is "in and out" rather than permanently out, like Jurel and Jitesh. Do you remember the crowd booing the Indian team when a match was being played at Trivandrum? He was given two matches against a weak opponent. He made 0 runs from two innings and dropped easy catches. What more can be done? There is an oversupply of talented players in India. None of the players can be given unlimited opportunities.

This isn't just about Samson and I am not a great fan of him either, I am talking about the illogical decision by the decision committee like he dropped from ODI after scored century against SA doesn't make sense, if they came into conclusion that he can no longer perform in this level then better leave them out completely instead of giving one or 2 matches in a year then drop them and select then based on IPL performance.
You are right. There should be fair in International  matches.  But Most of the players of Indian team are supported by any big authority and with any big authority no player is successful.  Rohit Sharma always support to his team players and most of the players of Indian team are from MI and very less chances Rohit Sharma will be in the favour of our team players. But that should be change for the quality of cricket. Indian team will be more strong if decisions will be on merit and best players will be in the team.We know the last ODI World Cup final in which Australia International cricket team played excellent and won the match easily on sided .we saw the same situation of India in Champions Trophy 2017 ,there are big blunders did by the selection committee and we saw result in the form of lose of final.

It's a welcome development but need to be careful with genuine cases (Personal). Anyone pulling out only because he didn't get a high bid or faking injuries should face the tune.

Another important issue would be players avoiding throwing their names into mega auctions instead of strategically gunning for mini auctions because that's where a ridiculous bidding war follows.

I saw about the possible changes in the next IPL yesterday on a podcast and that discussed about this subject too, and that's the right decision cause if player pulls out of team at last minute then team formation would collapse entirely so it should be sturdy enough to make things straight. Even though discussion between team owners happened yesterday we still yet to see how many retention and RTM is available then more importantly I am waiting for the impact player rule too.
Every franchise has a solid argument on retention, even on uncapped players as it directly affects the core group of players, fan base and most importantly the development of new talents. If these issues are not addressed properly, the franchise has no incentive to nurture young talents.

The impact player rule is a good addition in terms of business perspective but IMO in the long run it'll hurt Indian cricket (White ball) because this rule reduces the development of local all-rounders, which India needs badly.

Some of them want to be treated like gods. An example is how N Srinivasan treated Suresh Raina.

WDYM? Could you link article or smth?

It was back in 2020. Because of COVID, second leg of the Indian Premier League was hosted by the United Arab Emirates. While Raina was in the UAE, some of his close relatives got murdered. He returned to India, although CSK prohibited him from doing so. Srinivasan went ballistic and threatened Raina that he will never again participate in the IPL (a threat which he actually carried out). At that time, Raina was contracted to Chennai Super Kings for ₹110 million ($1.6 million). Details can be found here:

Anyone watching Canada T20 matches. Yesterday 10th and 11th match played which was between Surrey Jaguars vs Bangla Tigers Mississauga and Vancouver Knights vs Brampton Wolves.  And if we take a look on point table so we will see that MOT and BMP are leading at this time. In this league there are 21 matches. let's see which team will come up
I think most of us are not familiar with that franchise league as it's new too and most of thier country people are not interested in cricket as mostly European countries love to watch football and some other games so that why things are not going well for them because such leagues hugely dependant on people intrest so may be in future they will get things right through some new strategies. Anyway I just search that league on Google and didn't get directly but through ESPNCricket site.
According to thier standing Montreal Tiger Cricket team lead table and may be get the league too if they continue thier winning streak. I just checked that some Paksitani start were taken by different franchise but due to NOC issue from PCB they unable to participate which really effect not only thier team but viewership too because may be possibly people will take intrest after Thier favorite player inn here

News from IPL front — franchises have shown displeasure with foreign players withdrawing last minute before start of season affecting their planned team combinations, and we are likely to see some relevant changes in IPL 2025.

Personally, I'm glad franchises got vocal about it, in this past IPL season, English players withdrawing costed RCB and RR the most.

Anyone watching Canada T20 matches. Yesterday 10th and 11th match played which was between Surrey Jaguars vs Bangla Tigers Mississauga and Vancouver Knights vs Brampton Wolves.
In the first match BMP was good and they won the match easily and SUJ gave a target of 102 runs which they completed in 19 overs.
In the second match VAK made 148 runs and BRW chased the target in 18 overs.
And if we take a look on point table so we will see that MOT and BMP are leading at this time. In this league there are 21 matches and after that Quarter Finals and semifinals and Final. So let's see which team will come up. Smiley
Yeah, In the 10th game of the global T20, Canada Surrey Jaguars played first and made 101 runs. Excellent batting by Marcus Stoinis and Logan van Beek, both played 36 and 31 runs innings, respectively and set the target of 102 runs. While bowling end Shoriful Islam took three wickets Bangla Tigers Mississauga successfully chased the target 1 over before with the loss of six wickets David Wiese 27 runs on just 19 deliveries helped his team to win the match while Dilon Heyliger with 17 runs on the crease both players contributed good runs in team total Surrey Jaguars teams fought hard but failed to defend this average total and lost this game by four wickets

Although I don't 100% agree with the proposal, some sort of mechanism needs to be in place to prevent mass pullout of players. Franchises carefully try to balance their squads, and these last minute pullouts do a lot of harm to them. If the players want a fat paycheck, then it is fine. They can enter at the highest slab (which is around $200,000, if I am not wrong). But entering the bid on a low amount, and then pulling out of the tournament is unethical. But at the same time, franchise owners need to respect the players. Some of them want to be treated like gods. An example is how N Srinivasan treated Suresh Raina.

Montreal Tigers and Bangla Tigers Mississauga both team are leading. But Bangla Tigers Mississauga Won three matches out of four, where Montreal Tigers got the victory in three matches out of three. So Montreal Tigers seems more stronger. And yeah, BTM won by 4 wickets against Surrey Jaguars where Surrey Jaguars batted first and 101 runs was Scored only. So BTM won this match easily. Besides Brampton Wolves won by 6 wickets against Vancouver Knights. They did 149/4 runs as a target for oppennt but even though they lose the match. Even its so sad reality that Vancouver Knights lost all four matches out of four. So I don't think they could play in semifinal even quarter final.
SUJ did not perform well in this match. Their batsmen did not give much target in the match.  Their batsmen score 101 runs in 20 overs. The pace of their batsmen was not slow down. The entire team will be out before their batsmen play 20 overs. BTM bowler has perform well in the match. But there has been no improvement in the speed of their batsmen either. Yes if their batsmen play calmly it is fine. But their speed was very slow. They should improve their speed. Although the target was low but still they should not be weak and give the next team a chance to win and win the match easily. Congratulations to him for this win. SUJ must improve their perform to win this match.Their perform was really bad in this I was hope to win this match but their batsmen look slow in the match.

My guess is that Surrey Jaguars will get an easy win in this match. I never thought Surrey Jaguars' innings would stop at just 101 runs. Because Surrey Jaguars batting order was very strong. Surrey Jaguars squad has talented batsmen like Kyle Mayers, Narine, Soitin, McMullan and Mohammad Nabi in their squad. Despite having so many talented and T20 specialist batsmen, the Surrey Jaguars squad could not collect big. The team collected only 101 runs. Apart from captain Stoinis and Logan VanBeek, no other batsman can bat better. Stoinis scored 36 runs and Van Beek scored 31 runs.

Bangla Tigers Mississauga bowler Shariful bowled brilliantly in this match. He conceded only 11 runs in 4 overs and took three wickets. Shakib and Wiese's bowling was also very good.

But the batting of Bangla Tigers Mississauga batsmen was not good enough. The team lost 6 wickets to collect only 102 runs. If the target was around 120, probably the Bangla Tigers Mississauga team would have lost this match.

The Sri Lankan team could not change their fortunes despite ample opportunities, but when the Indian team started batting and quickly three of their core batsmen were dismissed. Successive players kept falling and this was the weak point of the Indian team. But in no way the players of the Sri Lankan team could not advance in the batting phase due to which they lost the third T20 match at the last minute.

Today  I understood why the Sri Lankan team always loses the matches very easily and why they are going down in all formats of cricket   Angry
The reason is they are not improving their mistakes and don’t take lessons from their mistakes. They are repeating their mistakes continuously. As we have seen when Surya Kumar Yadav was doing the bowling in the last over then that time, he picked two wickets and from those both wickets were gone because the batsmen played the sweep shot in which we may see the four too but the batsmen have to be informed about the field that the bowler set and same mistake their batsmen has done in the super over.

Yes, I have seen especially in super over when  Kusal Perera was out by playing a sweep shot then the next bastmen needed to understand that he don’t have to hit the sweep short means Pathum Nissanka was not needed to be hit sweep but on the first ball, he played sweep but on the different direction and he was out too.
By the way, in LPL, Pathum Nissanka performed very amazingly but in the real matches, he is dump in his play even time he made 50 on 18 in the LPL against Colombo Strikers but no words here in this match againist India.

This time too the Sanju Samson was  out on zero and once again he dismissed his great chance to be the best player of the team as he is in the IPL so far.
We had very hopes with him because in the last few matches and including IPL, he made high scores and did good performance but against Sri Lanka, he did not play well in this series, I hope in the next matches, he will recover himself and will be the permanent player of the team and also we are needy of his performance because now the many players have retired from the T20 for India, and he is the future of BCCI.

I don't understand why this overhyped guy is being given so many chances. There are so many promising wicket keeper batsmen around, like Jitesh Sharma, Anuj Rawat and Dhruv Jurel. Why they are not being considered? Samson performs only in the IPL. Samson has played a total of 30 T20I matches for India so far, and his average is a pathetic 19.30. If the selectors want to give him chances, then he should be tried in ODI format and not in T20I format. Other players deserve more chances than Samson.

I also feel Samson might do better in ODI, but then again if I were to choose between Pant and him, I'd go with Pant, also Pant is better WK.

I don't think Anuj Rawat deserves to be internationals (yet), he did overall poor in IPL except in few matches. Jitesh Sharma is good, under proper guidance he can blossom, same for Jurel. Though, Jitesh is better T20 batter than Jurel, despite Jitesh's fail in this year's IPL.

If the selectors want to give him chances, then he should be tried in ODI format and not in T20I format. Other players deserve more chances than Samson.

Samson debuted almost a decade ago and he only played 16 ODIs and 30 T20s, so he hasn't been given enough chances to prove his worthiness and he did well in ODIs but not in T20 is purely due to lack of game time so you can't blame him even though I am greatly disappointed for not grabbing the opportunity that's given.

Samson is not lacking any talent but I guess it's something to do with his confidence.

Samson is quite a skilled player, Samson performed well in that match even though other players could not play patiently. He has played well in almost all the matches for the Indian team, but it is only natural that he has performed poorly in the last match against the Lankan team in T20 matches. Has performed poorly in the last two T20I matches, but Samson can certainly turn his fortunes around if he can put up a patient batting performance with Sri Lanka again in the ODIs. So he must stay calm and perform for long periods of time, not to be disappointed then the only chance of failure is high.

Sanju Samson is well known in Indian cricket. But he is most known when it comes to IPL. Although he has not been involved much in international matches, he has not done badly there either. As far as I know Sanju Samson participated in only 30 matches in international T20 cricket till now and participated in 167 matches in IPL. But I don't think he is a top cricketer. He scored only 2 half century in international T20 cricket. Again, he was not seen to perform very well in the recent Sri Lankan opposition. If he is retained in ODI cricket, how well he can do cannot be predicted until seen in the field.
