An over from Sam Curran wrecked the entire match. England fans should not have any expectations about this match now. Now it seems that England captain Phil Salt's fielding decision was a completely wrong decision. Batting first on this pitch gives a good advantage. England's bowlers are not able to make any advantage on this pitch.

Someone mentioned in prematch that historically team bowling first does well here and usually when pitch and square are covered, it does create some chances for the seamers. So far it's not working lol.

Archer is not the same after his injury. I've never imagined that I'd see him bowling full over under 140 kph. Speaking of comms, Hussain along with Pointing on comms are so refreshing and hope Atherton comes as well, if he's there.

I don't know why England team decided to field even after winning the toss. I am very disappointed with their decision. Today is the first T20 game between Australia and England at Southampton. They both played their last match on 4th June 2024 in the ICC MEN’S T20 World Cup 2024, this match won by Australia as well. Before that they both faced each other in 2022 in T20 format. In 2022, they played T20 series last time against each other. Had a quick look over England's T-20 squad and Boy oh Boy! In my recent memory, it's one of the weakest or some would say unknown English Batting lineups.

Weirdly, they didn't go with proper batters but went all in and picked 6 all-rounders. Only Phillip Salt is a genuine batter or to some extent Livingstone but he's considered an AL in short format. It would be fun to watch if this batting unit goes on to demolish Aussie bowling.

Yes you are right. This series will be very interesting. And both teams have almost equal stats and both are top teams. So if they will compete eachother so they will make a interesting environment.
While we have seen that recently Australia played a series with Scotland and how they played we have seen them. So Australia has much chances that they will win but one thing is important to note that Australia players don't have consistency as they must have. Because we have seen Travis Head in the Scotland tour. He was good in one match but in the other one he got out earlier. So Australia should focus on this if they really want to win this series.
