Performance of Afghanistan in Bangladesh tour is very much satisfactory as they won one ODI and losing the series by 2-1 while levelling the T20 series. This is positive thing that regime change has not created any negative impact on the cricket. Afghanistan truly are a candidate for test status. If Bangladesh despite such poor test performance in 20 years can retain test status then why can't Afghanistan get that ?
There are Afghanistan player in IPL 2022 Rashid Khan, Noor Ahmad, Mohammad Nabi and Fazalhaq Farooqi.
Personally I don't believe that Afghanistan as a team is worse than Bangladesh. They lack the test experience, only because they don't get to play too many test matches against quality opposition. But the real issue is with the regime. How can we allow such a brutal dictatorship such as Taliban to get representation in the sports field? The ICC had suspended South Africa for Apartheid policies. There should not be double speak with Afghanistan and they should suspend that country as well. They can learn from FIFA, which suspended Russia recently.
I will disagree because as a team I think Afghanistan is obviously worse than Bangladesh but the thing is most of the Bangladesh players who are dependable are not in form. But even though I said that I also agree that Afghanistan is a decent team who can perform much better at the t20 and test cricket than Bangladesh.
And I think Bangladesh seriously needs to think about their T20 batting because they just cannot win the toss and put on a score like that.
And about banning Afghanistan, why would you even say something like that knowing that there are already only a few teams playing cricket.
Others who are trying to prove themselves by putting on a good performance, ICC is not allowing them to do so because of their ""low ranking"".
I think if we can't give solutions to a situation, we shouldn't make it worse.
