Some might say that Dhoni played the 4d chess. He promoted Thakur up in the order just to make Tom Curran look good so that he can bowl final over. Grin

Delhi lost for DC's weak captaincy. The last over should have been done with Rabada. Rabada did 3 overs and Ashwin did only 2 overs. One more over could have been done with Ashwin. Tom Curran was able to take 3 wicket so maybe the captain gave him the responsibility of the last over. But Rabada is an experienced bowler than Curran.

I think it is because of Dhoni's extraordinary skill that Chennai has been able to beat Delhi. I know a lot of people lost money yesterday. Everyone thought DC would easily win the match. But early in the innings, Delhi lost wickets of destructive batsmen like Shikhar Dhawan, Iyer and Patel. Still, the target of 173 runs was enough to win. Delhi bowled well. I thought Delhi Capitals would win the match as they had a decent score on board but Chennai Super Kings proved me wrong and they way in which MSD can take the match till the last over creates the drama and tension for a T20 match and in a crucial match they were successful even though i thought Delhi Capitals have the bowlers to restrict them but i am not impressed with they way they used Ravichandran Ashwin who is one of their best bowler.

CSK have won the match. MSD has proved himself again as one of the best finishers of modern cricket. Gaikwad and Uthappa gave them a very good start and MSD finished the match with a match-winning knock of 18 runs off only 6 balls. In the bowling department, Hazlewood, Jadeja, and Moeen did good work giving 29,23, and 27 runs respectively. Hazlewood got 2 wickets. For DC Pant and Shaw played a good knock. In the end, it was a very close match. Congrats to CSK for reaching the finals.

Yes, CSK to final. Its 9th time they are into IPL Final. It was really interesting to watch both team really play well and score more than 170. It was an awesome play from 4 players. 2 from DC scoring 50s in very less balls and 2 from CSK, Uthappa and Gaikwart hitting 50s. It was a real treat from Uthappa to his Son who celebrates his Birthday today. Awaiting for next game from CSK.

Delhi Capitals scored a competitive score of 172 runs considering the bowling line up they have. If Chennai Super Kings can overcome Anrich Nortje and Ravichandran Ashwin then they can win the match. Robin Uthappa was a surprise inclusion in the team and he is batting really well and if they can bat further and score at a good rate as they still need 74 runs in 48 balls which is a chaseable total but they need to bat sensibly when Anrich Nortje and Ashwin balls.
