The win over West Indies will boost the morale of South Africa. I was expecting a relatively easy series win by West Indies, because they are so good in this format. And West Indies had fielded a full strength side - Kieron Pollard, Andre Russell, Nicholas Pooran, Dwayne Bravo, Chris Gayle, Evin Lewis.etc. Still the Proteas managed to win.
After watching the first match, i thought West Indies would win the series even thought it might be close matches because they have a really strong team but they failed to perform as a team during crucial times and and props should be given to the team to compose everything fast and perform well.

The performance of West Indies in the first match was very remarkable. In just 15 overs, they scored 161 runs to defeat the South African team. But they did not perform well in other matches after that. The 4th match though they won. Still couldn't play very well. The West Indies and Sri Lanka teams have had a very bad time now.

One of the issues that I have noticed with the current West Indies team is that they are ageing. Look at the age of the main players - Chris Gayle is 41 years old, while Fidel Edwards is 39. Kieron Pollard and Andre Russel are now in their mid-30s. Lendl Simmons is 36 and Dwayne Bravo is 37. I strongly suspect that this may be one of the reasons why they are struggling to chase even moderate targets. Younger players such as Nicholas Pooran and Shimron Hetmyer are there, but it is the seniors who form the backbone of the team.

The West Indies players were clueless against Shamsi. But at the same time, his version of spin may be less effective against sub-continent teams such as India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.
Lets see how he will play against sub continent batsman, West Indies batsman used to play well against spinners and if he is able to trouble them then they could trouble other batsman with their line and length.

Absolutely SA morale will get boosted. I was in the opinion earlier that WI will wipe out SA but these guys were a totally different team. Shamshi is the reason why WI batsmen were struggling throughout. Good to see SA team back in form.

And it comes at the right time. T20 World Cup is about to start in 3 months from now, and almost all the major teams are making their preparations. And Tabraiz Shamsi will be very useful in UAE/Oman, where the grounds usually support spin bowling.

BTW, I got the schedule of the T20 World Cup from here:
https://crida.in/icc-t20-world-cup-schedule/

I am not sure whether this is fake or not. Because as far as I know, the ICC hasn't released the schedule yet. As per the schedule, the first match is going to be between Sri Lanka and Ireland on 17th October.

Shamsi is no 1 t-20 bowler atm, he and Rashid playing dandiya over ranking for quite some time now. I didn't get to watch single ball due to different time zone so had no active bets for this series, lucky me i guess lol as i was expecting Windies to win this series because of their dominance in T-20 but after 1st game Proteas did turn thing around there.

South Africa won the match against West Indies by 25 runs and Tabraiz Shamsi is becoming a solid spinner who is bowling extremely well for South Africa and in the next World Cup he will be having a major role to play in the team.

Also no vaccine is officially announced to be harmful although there are some side effects in few of the vaccines.
Unfortunately cricket tournaments like T20 world cup are still being affected by the pandemic.
There are new variants of the virus and WHO has predicted that it would be another deadly mutation and warned everyone to take care of themselves and consider a situation when the virus mutates and even the vaccine is not going to protect you, soon we might reach this scenario as well.

The economy is affected globally and how every government is going to tackle these situation is going to be important, in the US the protest of the people forced them to open everything up but in Europe they are taking a calculated approach so that we do not want to go to a position where everything goes out of control once again and hospitals struggling to take care of everyone.

I don't want the situation in the United States to be repeated elsewhere. There, a large section of the population has refused to adhere to COVID protocols (such as wearing masks and following social distancing). And some people have refused to get themselves vaccinated as well. And that is the reason why the United States is still reporting a very high daily death toll, when compared to the other developed countries. I don't want the same situation to be repeated in India or other developing nations. In short, the US is not a good example to be followed.

Vaccines can have many side effects, so many people in the United States refuse to take the vaccine. Once they are sure the vaccine is completely free of side effects they will take the vaccine, I think this is the right decision. But we should all follow the hygiene rules. This is because it can be contagious at any time if you do not wear a mask and do not follow the hygienic rules. So follow the hygiene rules and be aware.

Where do you see this information that USA citizens refuses of take the vaccination ?   About 66.8 percent of adults have received at least one shot in the US which is more than any other country. Also no vaccine is officially announced to be harmful although there are some side effects in few of the vaccines.

I did not expect West Indies to score 167 runs when they were struggling at 104 for 6 and 3.3 overs left, no wonder Pollard is the most destructive batsman in the format and he always performs well when he is the captain, i have seen similar kind of performance from him in the IPL last year when he was the captain and West Indies winning the match by 21 runs. It is really crazy how the match has changed completely in a matter of few balls.

In case of West Indies, they started badly, but then had a grand ending. I was expecting a score of 130-140 after they lost the sixth wicket. But Pollard just made the calculations useless. The disdain he showed towards the South African bowlers (especially to the T20 and depth over specialist Kagiso Rabada) was somewhat like his trademark. And South Africa started with some big hits by Quinton de Kock, but the other batsmen (Temba Bavuma and Aiden Markram) wasted too many balls and in the end the target slipped out of their reach.

In the end they made 167/6. Kieron Pollard just butchered the South African bowlers in the end. Kagiso Rabada conceded 25 runs in the 19th over, while Lungi Ngidi gave away 18 runs in the last over. From 89/5, Pollard took them to a very decent score. But it needs to be seen whether the total is going to be enough for the West Indies or not. South Africa do have some explosive batsmen in the top order. We need to see how the West Indian bowlers (in particular Fidel Edwards and Andre Russell) deal with Quinton de Kock and Rassie van der Dussen.

It was some incredible power hitting by Pollard to take the team to a decent score, i have no hopes for Andre Russell as a bowler as he always gives away runs and i do not remember him bowling economically but the rest of the bowlers have to keep the attack together if West Indies wants to win the game and if they can pick wickets and put pressure then it is going to be an interesting close match.

South Africa and West Indies are playing and i was expecting a much stronger performance from West Indies but they already lost 6 wickets for 104 runs and they only have 3.3 overs left and the only positive aspect is that Kieron Pollard is still in the crease and he needs to pick up the momentum to take them to a decent score.

It has been quite frustrating that the ICC is not releasing the schedule for the T20 World Cup yet. Only three and half months remain and we still don't know who will be facing in the first set of matches. They have only given the list of 4 stadiums where the matches will be held - Oman Cricket Academy Ground (Al Amerat), Dubai International Stadium, Sheikh Zayed Stadium (Emirate of Abu Dhabi), and the Sharjah Stadium. But there is no information regarding which groups will be playing on each of these grounds.
They announced moving the T20 World Cup recently and they announced the venue and in a week or two they will be announcing the entire schedule details. The problem is that things are changing rapidly every week and hence they might be taking their time to announce the schedule.

The economy will be completely destroyed if the lockdown measures remain in place. In India, the domestic 4-day championship (Ranji Trophy) was last conducted in 2019. The domestic players have seen their salaries declining by anywhere from 60% to 80%. But then, after so many deaths, it will be unwise to restart the tournaments. The only solution is vaccination. But India has completely vaccinated only 4.3% of its population (compared to 48% for the United Kingdom). And for reaching herd immunity, you need to completely vaccinate at least 75%. Until that figure is reached, I don't want India to host any major cricket tournaments.

We can look at the countries of Europe in dealing with the coronavirus. They are the most successful. I don't see much news about coronavirus infection in China. I don't understand how they were able to control the situation so quickly. Coronavirus control should not result in the USA, they did not succeed.

I feel India can resume their sporting events first by giving vaccines to the sports player’s, and then only allowing vaccinated fans to come inside the stadium. Furthermore they can even make it mandatory to have covid19 negative tests for fans, and if they implement this system then I see no reason why sports events can’t resume in India.

This is not a valid excuse, IMO. The vaccination program in the US has completed almost 7 months till now. If the vaccines had so many side effects, then it would be known by now. Serious adverse effects from the vaccine is being reported at a rate of 2-3 per million doses in that country. So I don't think that people should worry about the side effects. In the developing world, there is a serious shortage of vaccines and the governments are pleading for more vaccine supplies. And in the US, they are just refusing to get vaccinated despite the available supplies.
