The latest result of the match so far is one wicket for five runs by South Africa in the second innings. In other words, South Africa scored 5 runs in the first two overs against Afghanistan, on the contrary, they lost one wicket. The target is not too big for South Africa to reach the final as only 57 runs in 20 overs will ensure South Africa reach their much desired final. 1996 was the first time when I watched the ICC cricket world cup. That was 28 years back. And I have to say that 2024 T20 World Cup was the most pathetic tournament that I have watched ever since I started following cricket. Ticket distribution was chaotic, the tournament was scheduled in the middle of rainy season, grounds with no proper drainage were used to host the matches and tracks were uneven and resulted in low scoring matches. The ICC need to show a bit more respect towards the fans and the media rights holders.

Honestly, I would prefer the match getting washed out and screwing England since they were extremely lucky reaching this point thanks to Australia and it would be proper karma for their nonsensical win against NZ in that final.

I am not a fan of these shenanigans because it's not fair to teams and players. Yeah, India benefitting this time due to washout but in the last 5-6 years India lost 1 WC semi and 1 WTC final due to rain interruptions, both against Kiwis.

Having said that, it's a t-20 WC so any scenario is alright because we'll have another T-20 WC in the next 2 years and also in the long run no one remembers T-20 stuff.

To be honest I wasn't expecting such brutal defeat from Afghanistan against South Africa especially after such phenomenal performance at early stage but just like everyone know due to lack of such high stage experience they unable to Handel situation and thus got pressurized while I think their opponent were know from that situation that why they apply as much as huge pressure on them especially at early stage in order to put them off track and just like everyone know their oppner were known the back bone of Afghanistan batting line-up so opponent make aim to departure Thier oppner first to get them under his strong grip and then successfully execute his plan and thus Afghanistan were out of the tournament and south Africa were in final after a long long time and hope so they will get the final if they deserve

Yes that was really a bad decision to chose the bat first. And now at this time they are really in a bad situation. Because they have lost 5 wickets which has made a lot of pressure on Afghanistan team. They made only 28 runs in 6 overs. It means they have current run rate is 4.42 and this will decrease because they are in a lot of pressure. Huh! While typing they have lost one more wicket. Marco Jansen is good in bowling. That is a luckiest day for the South African team that they will qualify for the Final match. Which can be with India or with England.

A big game is going to live in a couple of minutes and in the previous takedown, Eng won the game comprehensively and qualified for the finals of t20 world cup. Did they repeat the same thing or India will clinch the victory and enter the finals of the T20 World Cup?

SA hasn't had mighty performances in this tourney (minus today), I'm little surprised that they are finalist tbh.

I lost my bets on this match but I was stakes very lower amount. Afghanistan played well in previous matches and I thought their form is good now so they can win this match so I tried my luck but Afghanistan performed worst in this match. I felt bad for the loss but thinking about that I didn't make much stake on this match it's recovering.
Anyway I was looking now the India vs England this match is going to be much competitive but winning chances is more for India.

By the way, if you remember in knock-out matches, Indian team has not out to any player of the opposition team in T20 World Cup knockouts from the last 8 years, since 2016, and the last wicket was taken by Virat Kohli. By the way, from the last 8 years, after 2016, the Indian team just came into the knock-outs one time which was when they lost in 2022.

Afghanistan's poor batting in the first semi-final saw them lose the match against South Africa by a huge margin as South Africa qualified for the final for the first time. We will see the second semi-final between India vs England but I will definitely put India ahead of England because India's batting line is very strong if they can bat responsibly then India will easily win against England. But the current batting line of England is quite good if the England batsmen can give India a target of 200 plus runs and can do it in a controlled manner then England will have a chance. The England vs India match is sure to be a high voltage match with thousands of cricket fans keen to see which team will emerge as another finalist. Well, when you say that the performance for South Africa is not up to a certain level, but they have not lost a single match in this world. This is indeed a big achievement for them.
