It would be a bummer for the Poms if it's a washout. They've already suffered similarly in the Group stage but knockout fixture facing washout is heartbreaking. If India were in England's shoes, then the broadcaster would've rioted for obvious reasons.
Honestly, I would prefer the match getting washed out and screwing England since they were extremely lucky reaching this point thanks to Australia and it would be proper karma for their nonsensical win against NZ in that final.
How selfish it is to go to the finals in this way
Also, in the break (the rainy break) i was surfing to the internet and was shock to see this article.
Manjrekar: India had a 'clear advantage' in knowing their semi-final venue in advanceI didn't knew that it was preplanned that India will be playing in this venue and it was decided before the semi-finalist were decided. Why can't ICC remain fair ? And why they want to give an advantage to the Indian team. Before reading this article, i thought that it was coincidence that India got this venue and we had no reserve day but now things unfolding.
If you do not have time to read the above article, just see the quoted text from that and you will know what is happening in actual
"Clear advantage," Manjrekar said on ESPNcricinfo's Timeout show. "Rohit has to say that. He can't say it was an advantage. India would've picked their side based on it. India's problem has been semis and finals and when you know you're playing in Guyana, if you've been wondering why they've got four spinners in their squad, this could be the reason."
Former England batter Nick Knight concurred with that assessment that "it didn't seem right or fair" that India knew where they were playing.
"I get that. I get that money is a big play in the world of cricket. And I get that in bilateral series, but you would think that when you get to a World Cup, the ICC should be a little bit fairer to everybody. It shouldn't be just India just because they bring a few quid in.
