Newzealand are bowling very well and are also very aggressive on the field till now they have give zero extra run. Indian batsmen are struggling to play the shots. Good decision by Newzealand to bat first.

Edit -1 wide in the 12th over.

New Zealand again failed to perform with 132 runs. Till 84, they were going good but then despite of having wickets in hand, they failed to get 100 runs in those last 8 overs. Seifert tried his best but Taylor did not even try hard.

Sharma out after 2 fours. What was he even thinking Sad

Is this really a batting pitch? Newzealand had a horrible first spell only 132. India shoul win the match comfortably. But it does not looks like they will as Rohit got out for just 2 runs.
If India only takes singal and the odd four they will easily win this match.
I think KL Rahul might be the anchor for the day. Even after wicket of Virat Kohli India looks good today. Target isn't that big and frankly speaking New Zealand bowling hasn't really been quite impressive today. Is India becoming a better T20 team or is it that other teams are underperforming?

Not 2 runs but 8. Now they are pretty stable and they won't lose this match as there are more experienced players in the lineup.

Rohit got out last time also for 7 and now 8. They just made some minor change by bringing Dube after Pandey but that's not going to make a difference. I don't want it to reach Dube to defend such a small score.
Yeah if we reach until dube then I think we need to replace someone from the top order. Because if you number 5-6 is coming onto bat when target is merely 133 then maybe you need to replace your number 3 & 4

Actually even I am surprised to see the NZ batting towards the last few overs as they just could not manage to score big . 134 to win should not be a difficult task for India but they have lost Rohit in this process of chasing quickly . They are now 23/1 in 4 overs and require more 110 runs only .

Team India relies a lot on the performance of the top 3 batsmen.  This is one of the weakest point of Indian batting line up. Last match in quick interval the top 3 batsmen were out. Which was actually good for shreyas as he was able to perform but, if he also fails then we have Manish pandey and Ravinder jadeja. They have not been consistent in their performance. They need someone stable down the order after shreyas. Let's see whether there will be any changes for today.
Did you even watch the recent matches? The Indian middle order has improved a lot these days thanks to Shreyas and Rahul. Rahul scored a half century while Kohli almost scored one in the first match which is why your statement about them getting out quickly doesn't make any sense.

Pandey is doing alright with the chances that he gets and we all know that Jadeja can perform now and then. New Zealand is an inconsistent team these days and India just defeated Australia comprehensively. New Zealand is already struggling right now and this 2nd T20 looks like India's match all the way.

Yes, I did watch the match and I still believe in what I wrote. There is problem with the middle order and you cannot deny that. Did you forget Rohit Sharma's out? except Rahul who else scored half century. Go and watch the highlights and then you will understand the word quick intervals.

Even New Zealand starting a good partnership by Guptil and Munro, the team collapsed only with 132 which I think very low score against a team like India. NZ middle order was very helpless against Sir Jadeja and Bumrah. Pretty easy win for India I think.

NewZealand and Indians playing at same Auckland ground, which is batsmen friendly but scorecard showing very different picture. did they changed the pitch? if not then Indian bowlers must be doing their job perfectly.

Edit : Damn Sir Jadeja bowling spell looking sweet. Manjrekar hiding his face again  Grin
It is really batsman friendly pitch, only the openers felt like it was a batting wicket but the rest of the players were struggling to score runs and they somehow reached 132 runs and it will be another easy win for India unless we see some extraordinary bowling from New Zealand i do not see they are able to defend a small score like this. Jadeja bowled extremely well tonight and what is with the Manjrekar story.

We have New Zealand and India ad let us see how they are going to perform and with the win against New Zealand in the first T20 they will be having the confidence to win the series and hopefully the jet lag for some players will be sorted by now.

New Zealand batsmen got a good start during the last match, but their bowlers are not performing well. Most of their strike bowlers are missing. They don't have much chances of defeating a team such as India, if they don't have bowlers such as Trent Boult, Lockie Ferguson and Matt Henry in their lineup. The replacement bowlers (Ish Sodhi, Hamish Bennett and Blair Tickner) got smashed all around the park by Rahul and Sreyas during the last match. Hopefully this time they will be able to put up a decent fight.

Yes the New Zealand has been lose the match due to weak bowling show from New Zealand team. Because Indian has been 142 for 4 wickets still needs 62 runs in 6.4 over. If new zealand bowlers can be turn the match there favor of new zealand but they failed. Maybe today we can expect more changes in new zealand bowling department.

I think the difference in the last match was of the innings played by Sheyas Iyer which helped India to win the match. As in middle order India lacked experience NZ was able to pick up quick wickets during that interval and if they could have got Sheyas as well quickly match was on their side. Hope today as well we will be able to see a tough competition between both the sides and match goes till last over.

NZ winning the toss elected to bat first. They started their innings quite well and lost first wicket at score of 48 and then quick couple of wickets have put them on backseat. They are now 76/3 in 11.4 overs and if India could restrict them for next couple of overs the pressure would build on NZ and in trying to increase the net run rate may lose wickets. NZ on other side would like to build a decent partnership here and accelerate in last five overs.

The problem for Bangladesh was that they got off to poor starts which can sometimes be hard to come back from but again that is credit to the Pakistan bowlers. Anyway lets see if Pakistan can clean sweep.
Pakistan bowled really well in this series and good to see that they were able to dominate the series against Bangladesh and they lacked this kind of coordination against the series against Sri Lanka.

Today's match I feel will be dominated by the Newzealand team. If shreyas Iyer would not had performed in the last match then Team Indian would have lost it. Do you think there will be any changes in the bowling line up? Last match there were few loose overs that could have been prevented.

I thought Pakistan have played well in the series as they have been able to restrict Bangladesh to low totals which Pakistan have been able to chase down easy. Some might say that despite being successful captain and best wicketkeeper, he must earn his place in Indian squad by competing with young guys. he set the same example when he refused to include Sehwag, Ganguly and Dravid in the team by stating " they are slow in the field" and "want to give youngsters chance".

The only person in your list that I felt sorry about was Ganguly. Sehwag was slow and so was Dravid on the field, the only exception for Dravid was that he also was a partime wicketkeeper. Both were non reliable batsmen. Creating records and not playing for the team was there biggest problem. If you change their batting order they would collapse. That was the biggest problem. Dhoni is far better than those.

I wouldn't say better, Sehwag was explosive opener in Test and Dhoni was good at middle order as Anchor and finisher in the limited overs cricket (not in Test). Everyone has their own strength and weakness and everyone fades out as time passes by or when they gets old, so changes are good that's how new blood gets into the picture. in the end selection should be based on merit and performance, no matter who play or not.

For argument, if someone creates All time World or Indian Test XI. Then Dhoni is not going to make out even in 30 or 15 men squad. In limited over cricket? Sure he can, easily and rightly so, his record speaks for him. On the other hand Sehwag is all time great opener in Test cricket history and there is a resaon Dravid's nick name is "The Wall"

Problem is people don't understand, when Dravid played, how important role he played, he had given role of anchoring the inning means just stay on wicket doesn't matter if runs not flowing too fast, because if wickets fall both end inning just collapse. Dravid is 1 of the best middle order batsmen we ever saw in Indian team by technique.
