Irish are the eternal chokers. If you want to study how to lose a match, then you can watch those matches involving Ireland. They were 153/0 after 12 overs. With 8 overs remaining anyone would have expected them to add another 100-120 runs to finish at 250-270. But once Paul Stirling got out, the entire batting collapsed and they could manage only 208/7 from 20 overs. The Irish bowling lacked any variety or venom
The final result was that i lost the bet as i was expecting West Indies to win the match easily and put the bet in a parlay but that was not the case as even though they failed to put up a score from where they started they had enough runs to defeat West Indies and that is important and they did not choke in the first T20 but if they perform the same is a big question.
Once as Pooran and Rutherford played in 18th over and hit 27 runs I was settle for West Indies easy win but then suddenly Irish magic works and they steal the show in last two overs with 3 wickets specially Little done great job and take Rutherford and Bravo which was amazing I will remember this match for long time.

Yeah they have only 1-2 good batsman not more than that but still Ireland did good out there. I would say all because of Stirling. 208 was a good target and WI did get close but in the end didn't made it.

Regarding Stirling, I would say player has to go through a lot. Everyone has their way of thinking. We may see a potential of evolving and enjoying winning moments and see financial benefits playing under England but maybe he sees amount of regular chances playing for Ireland or don't want to face criticism from his country peoples.

Stirling used to play for one of the county sides and the county contract was very lucrative. Even if he doesn't get a permanent slot in the English side, he could have played for the county and earned well. He said goodbye to that and signed a contract with the Irish board for a much lower amount. It is his choice and no one has the right to criticize him. But he is not the only one. Faf du Plessis of South Africa had initially signed a Kolpal contract in England. But after a few months, he cancelled the contract and returned to SA.

Finally, Irish beat west indies in first t20 Battelle with 4 runs but the match has gives a great experience to the Irish team because until the last ball we can predict which team will be going to win the match. but finally Irish deserve the win with great performances.
I did not foresee this coming from Ireland, they performed really well and i was late to place a bet and i am now glad i did not place a bet after seeing how the openers were batting and then when they posted above 200 runs then i knew the match is difficult to predict as chasing these scores is not that easy even if the bowlers are not world class and in the end Ireland was able to restrict them chase the score, a good start for the T20 series and expecting these kind of close matches than one sided trashing.

The Irish bowling lacked any variety or venom, and it was the 20-year old Josh Little who won back the match for Ireland by delivering a tight final over against Dwayne Bravo and Sherfane Rutherford. I really feel bad for players such as Paul Stirling and Josh Little. They have a lot of talent and they deserve playing for a side such as England. Stirling already had a Kolpak offer, which he rejected. For him, representing his country was more important than monetary benefit (although I would disagree with that thinking). He is 29 years old and I hope that he'll rethink about his decision and chose to represent England. The same goes for Little. If he gets a Kolpak offer, then he should chose that.

Anyone watching the West Indies and Ireland match, i was expecting an easy win for West Indies but Ireland just surprised me with the batting as the openers gave a good start and Paul Stirling missed his century by 5 runs which was unfortunate but they reached 198 runs and two overs left and i am sure they will post a good total for West Indies and it is not that easy to chase huge totals. I am still expecting West Indies to win the match but it will be a hard fought battle.
Today both Irish openers done great job as first wicket down on 154 in just 12.3 overs as PR Stirling steal the show with blitzing 95 on just 47 balls what a inning and what a match 202/5 just 19th over ends.

Brilliant knock by Paul string 95 runs in just 47 ball. While he was batting I felt west indies baller were participating in a practice match.
Kevin O' Brien also played a good supporting knock. Missed by just 2 runs to reach his half century. This match proves that this team has got great potential.

Anybody watch the match today Rajshahi Royals vs Chattogram Challenger in Bangladesh premier league qualifier match because the Rajshahi royals need 12 balls 31 runs 2 wickets in hand but the game-changer Andre Russell finished the match in 8 balls. really it was disappointing me because my bet has made with opposition at the wrong time and i lost it.

Today Russell was on fire I watch last few overs of this match and these overs was very interesting 19 over change all momentum 23 runs with 2 fours and 2 sixes and they win 4 balls remaining.

Now we have another very interesting match between West Indies and Ireland right now Ireland batting and they have some good looking scorecard DJ Bravo after some long time but still Ireland giving tough time 16 overs and 166/4 on board look like we are going to have 200+ from them.

I do not think performing in the IPL will matter anymore. He has to make way for new talents and there are a lot in india. Indian team selectors have enough options available to replace dhoni. After IPL I think he will call it.

Personally I am against his inclusion in the squad. The selectors should give preference for the youngsters in the T20 team selection. But right now, social media campaigns are going on in favor of his inclusion. The decision lies with three people - Ravi Shastri, Virat Kohli and MSK Prasad. And as far as I know, all three are against including Dhoni in the squad.

I disagree with that, still he is the best finisher in IPL matches and in 2019 world cup we all knows that single runout costed the team to lose and dhoni will reach the crease 99.9% of similar occasions but he fell a frame short.

I still remember an interview from dhoni,on that reporter asked when you are going to retire and he replied "Do you think, Am I not fit to play next world cup?:

The IPL is about to start in another two months from now. Let's see how Dhoni performs during the tournament. I am not expecting any miracles from him. But if Dhoni is able to perform them, then obviously the selectors will be under a lot of pressure to include him in the squad for world cup. But my opinion is that he should concentrate on the ODI format. It may be better to leave the shorter format to the youngsters.

I don't think Indian T20 squad for the world cup will play without Dhoni. We all knows that how good he is while playing shorter form and can be considered as the best finisher of all t20 formats. And also his ability to communicate with players behind the stumps will be a good advantage. And his wicket keeping is the best class and invented many wickets from half chances.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni was considered as one of the best finishers in limited overs cricket. But that was many years ago. His performance during the 2019 ODI Cricket World Cup was below par. His strike rate has gone down, and he has become more of a liability in the final overs. We have better wicket keeping batsmen (KL Rahul/Rishabh Pant/Sanju Samson) and therefore I can't see a possibility of MSD replacing any of these three players in the squad for the 2020 T20 World Cup.

I think Dhoni himself will officially retire before or will say better to give chance to youngsters as it is natural that after reaching certain age performance will go down . So nothing to worry as his guidance will always be their and at certain time we will have to build the replacement too .

Its true that India has strong team and good bench strength but its would be unrealistic to say if India is going to win easily (CT and WC). and India having good team doesn't mean other teams are bad, it just short analysis of Indian Team it can be done for other teams also Eng,Aus,NZ, Pak.
The strength of a team depends upon how well they can perform as a team and it was evident from today's match between India and Australia as both teams had good teams and everyone expecting a competitive match but Australia dominated with the ball and the bat and it was an one sided affair. If you are not performing well in one department it might affect the entire game as we saw today.

Fair enough, personally i don't mind if Dhoni play in WC. there might be good chance of that management trying Pant and Sanju ( especially Pant) for second WK-batsman (15 men squad)  and Dhoni's spot is already fixed. Still it doesn't justify why Dhoni is not speaking clearly on this matter and he refuse to play in Domestic cricket - Syed Mustaq Ali Trophy, T-20 -

IPL 2020 will start in about three months from now, and the selectors will be closely monitoring the performance of Dhoni when he turns up for the Chennai Super Kings. If he performs well, then there is a good chance that the selectors will name him in the squad, irrespective of any criticism from the others. If the reverse case occurs, then Dhoni may find himself out of the squad.
