The super trio(Warner, Finch and Smith) continue to perform well. If the opposing team can take these 3 out quickly, Australia can be vulnerable as I mentioned in my previous post.
If Pakistan has to win a match against they need to pick up the wickets of Warner Finch and Smith and even if they fail to take a wicket of these three players then it is hard for Pakistan to win a match, Australian middle order is yet to be tested because the top three are performing very well and they need to give these youngsters some match experience before the world cup if not it will create an issue moving forward.

Yes your right bro i have seen last two games played by Australia the opener giving good start if they have lost a wicket also but I didn't know how will Australian middle order going to perform. I hope Australia will change the team upcoming game because of they already leading in this T20 series.

Steven Smith played very well today and it is said that Steven Smith alone won the match today. This year Pakistan did not play very well, especially in the t20 format. They lost the last few series, even against Sri Lanka. So overall I think Pakistan's performance is not very good.

Steven Smith and David  Warner both are  playing very well and giving match wining performance each game but Pakistan has to improve their skills in batting and bowling due to senior players absence.

Well.. today it was Steve Smith who took the match away from the Pakistanis. Australians looked like they are in trouble, after both David Warner and Aaron Finch got out before the end of the first power play. However, Smith steadied the innings with some help from Ben McDermott. He was able to keep his strike rate above 150, and this meant that the Pakistanis lost whatever opportunity they had to put Australia under pressure.

Pakistani bowlers were looking toothless. Wahab Riaz failed once more, and the selectors should be looking to replace him. Also, their strategy to use two spinners may not be a good one. Spinners don't get much support on Australian pitches and the batsmen such as Finch and Smith looked very comfortable against the combination of Shadab Khan/Imad Wasim.

Before the series started, I expected the Pakistani batsmen to struggle under AUstralian conditions and their bowlers to perform well. But exactly the opposite is happening now. It is true that some of their star batsmen such as Fakhar Zaman have failed. But Babar Azam played exceptionally well during both the T20 matches (which means that the additional work load of captaincy is not affecting his batting form).

However, the Pakistani bowlers have been a disappointment so far. Their fast bowlers, especially Mohammad Amir and Mohammad Irfan have performed well on pitches abroad. But they have been unable to take the wickets of top order Australian batsmen. The used two spinners for the second mach, which sounds like a good strategy for me (given the lack of form from the fast bowlers).

It was sitter Bhai but agree on Smith-Warner case they did wrong and paid the price. Having said that banter and "getting under some one skin" should be allowed with limits, be it among spectators VS Players or Player VS players, even commentators and i enjoy these moments thoroughly.
Makes sense. One of the memes these days is Anushka and Kohli's superstition which is one of the weirdest superstitions ever. I wonder if Shakib will be able to bounce back like Amir, Smith and Warner.

All the other teams are trying to give youngsters more chances during the recent T20 matches, but Australia is sticking to their veterans. Even Pakistan changed their T20 captain and kicked out some of the experienced players from the squad. England and New Zealand have given opportunities to multiple debutantes during their ongoing series, so have India and Bangladesh in the series between them. But the Australians don't bother.
I do agree that Australia is playing with more veterans, but this is not a reason to justify their win. Every team is free to choose their players at the end of the day.

Yeah, T-20 format need young blood but only England and India resting their main players on regular basis, others are just going with the flow.
May be they are trying to find the right combination before the T20 world cup.

Well the team Pakistan really needed a change. This team was not working at all and we were seeing it from the last WC.

Australia won this one easily and am not surprised. This is why rankings don't always tell the complete truth people. Pakistan struggled through out the match. Iftikar and Azam gave them a decent total, but Australia dominated them.

To their credit, Pakistan managed to put up a good score even with their top order batsmen failing once more (Fakhar Zaman and Haris Sohail). During the first match, it was Mohammad Rizwan who gave company for Babar Azam, while in this match that honor goes to Iftikhar Ahmed. It was the bowling that failed them on both the occasions.

Well this match was won easily with the help of Smith. But Pak stayed on top of the list because they played really well earlier. And the below statement proves it

This is the first win for Australia in seven T20Is against Pakistan. Last victory came in Harare in 2018.

[...]and chances are Indian might go with the same team for next game and i don't mind that if they do.

Then I doubt the outcome will go India's way in this series. I think it is a good chance to make money betting on Bangladesh. The first match odds for Bangladesh to win was around @6.9-7x around which was very good. I wonder what we have for the next.

BTW have anyone noticed that every country playing out there is giving chances to young and potential players? It's becoming quite hard to pick a winner actually  Tongue

If 2nd game washed out then this series is draw by all means. not every time Indian team going to choke but if they do at this moment then consider this blessing in disguise and could be good for new players, couple of players are performing badly for quite some time and whenever team wins they gets a new lifeline and no one talks about them.

On side note : If any fielder drop catch in boundary and match is in Delhi then its hell for fielder. Delhi's spectators are brutal, Cursing and offensive words used as a helping verb in Delhi casually, i am sure Pandaya got fair amount of wisdom from fans  Grin
Well this kills the spirit of Cricket :-D
On a serious note this is really not good for cricket. These cricketers risk their entire life for cricket and their county.

I don't blame spectators in that case Cheesy Fielding standards are quite high when it comes to Pandaya brothers and Kunal is known as an very good fielder.. this drop catch was shame and i wouldn't be surprise if his teammates thinks the same.

Very true, but some people will never change. Some of the spectators love tormenting the fielders who are close to them and who performed badly in the match, but the Cricketers usually ignore such stuff since they get used to it.

Best examples are Smith and Warner who get booed incessantly, but still manage to deliver top level performances when the country needs them the most.

Haven't seen Warner but Smith without any doubt had really some good time in the last Ashes. These are some top class players in the world and they can turn anything in their favor and use it as an inspiration.

Australia just need 15 runs to win and Smith played a wonderful innings and Pakistan was able to pick the wicket of Warner but then Smith played the anchor innings and continuing his form in the shorter format, Mohammad Irfan and Shadab Khan bowled really well but the rest of the bowlers gave away runs, Mohammad Amir started well but then Smith scored freely against him.

Anyone watching the Australia vs Pakistan match and they already lost their openers chasing a score of 151 runs, Smith is still batting and if the Pakistan bowlers are able to pick his wicket then they can expose the young batting line up of Australia and still they need 90 runs to win at 7.2 runs per over.

Still 85 runs in 72 balls is achievable and easy target for a side like Australia. They still have Smith on crease but I don't know about McDermott and Turner (I mean how they play). Carey is still there so I think they will get a win in this match again.

It's not that easy, because Pakistan is good bowling side, if they are able to out Smith soon, it will be interesting match.
Pakistan was good side now its just average side and time for going down from No 1 ranking in twenty/20 they need some dynamic changes but right now its not coming from any side as selectors and PCB management both are biasad or involve in personal likes and deslikes which is killing very badly and quickly.

New Zealand won the match even though England started really well but the inexperience of the middle order cost them the match.

Reserving the funds for the next T-20 is the best option in my opinion. Majority would probably agree with me. I do hope that rain does not play spoil-sport here once again especially when due to this contest.
I am also thinking the same. We will just need to update our selections only in this case.

Pakistan made 150/6 in 20 overs thanks to Ahmed who made quick 60 in 34 balls which helped Pakistan to reach 150. Though warner is out but Oz are to flying start and just lost second wicket now at 48/2 in 6 overs . Pakistan requires quick wickets now to win this match .
