Yeah looks like the pace of scoring decreased once de cock was out. And miller has gone too while typing Grin Now I see a target around 140-150. I think everything looks in favour of India

IPL average score at Mohali's wicket is 170ish, so India did well restricting SA at an average total. Slower and especially Knuckleball are the perfect weapon for bowlers in a shorter format ( Guess thanks to inventor Charl Langeveldt or Zaheer Khan for inventing this weapon)

Its easy target and India should chase down effortlessly but you never know what happens in T-20. I wish for some early wicket otherwise can't watch the boring game.  Undecided

6th gone for Zimbabwe, well come back by Shafiul. I can still remember his batting contribution to the 2011 world cup match against England, a flashback to the good old day's memories after seeing his name in the team. However, he is very much expensive in bowling.
Anyway, it will be an easy win for Bangladesh.
SA could make a good score, I don't think 149 is defendable against India. Expecting an easy win.

Doubt he'll ask for a by-runner

I guess SA will end up getting a 140-145 target which is a good total to chase down. No clue why Bumrah is not chosen in the team but even Sundar couldn't get any wickets. Still the economy was good and only 2 batsmen of SA managed to get them runs. Others just came and went. India should manage to get these runs in 15 overs if they play well.

Proteas is set for 180-200 runs, Mohali wicket is good for batsmen and when its T-20 format then bowlers can only pray. I hate this Mohali stadium though due to -Low Lights set up - Miller lost all his charm and he's hit or miss case nowadays, i just want to see De Kock 100 Grin

Edit : And he's gone $*&%

Regarding the other match not sure who is in control of the game  Huh It looked like BAN were in full command, then they suddenly lost few wickets and then suddenly Mahmudullah started scoring on one end and got past 50.
Mahmudullah just got out, however, he scored a good amount, 62 from 41 deliveries. One more while I am typing this. Mosaddek is also gone. Last overs is wasted. I didn't watch the match from beginning though, was in office. Liton Das seems like batted well as well.
2 players played their maiden t20 today in Bangladesh team, good luck.

India won the toss and opted to bowl first. And India managed to bag their first wicket, Hendricks. Which reminds me that Mohali is kind of a  home ground for both Hendricks and Miller being part of Kings XI Punjab. So it's good to see him gone. But I would have preferred de kock's wicket  Grin

Just one day after their amazing victory against the Netherlands, the Scots came down crashing against Ireland. Now this is once again going to change the T20 rankings. Ireland is currently struggling with just 183 points and ranked 15th, and this win may take them closer to the top-10. At the same time, Nepal was able to overtake Scotland after their defeat to Ireland and they are now ranked 12th.

Today we have the Ireland vs Netherlands match and if Ireland is able to win comfortably against the Dutch, then it will further boost their chances. All the three teams have a number of star players currently playing county cricket in England, but Netherlands had decided to rest their main players (van der Merwe, van der Gugten.etc).

Anyone watching Scotland v Netherlands match, i am feeling sad for the bowlers as Scotland smashed all the bowlers round the park and scored 252 runs in 20 overs and one of their players scored a century as well, was going through some sports streams and i saw this live match and got stuck as the poor bowlers where smashed, since it is a T20 it was fun to watch and this is the first time watching these non associate matches.

I was watching it intermittently. The Dutch bowlers (including well known county stars such as Paul van Meekeren and Fred Klaassen) got smacked all around the park by George Munsey and Kyle Coetzer. They were 200/0 after just 15 overs and had a real shot at the record for the highest total ever made in a T20 match. But Shane Snater got both of them out and in the end they ended up with 252/3. The Dutch captain (Pieter Seelaar) made 96 not out from 49 balls, but that was not enough for them to get to a win. The results will be having an impact on the ICC Twenty20 Rankings, as Scotland is currently trying hard to break in to the top 10. But their real test will come today, when they take on Ireland.

Now there is something lacking, he needs to identify and make necessary changes to get back on track.
The openers are not in good form and not giving the start they wanted, their middle order is weak and the entire team revolves around Shakib Al Hasan and if he has a bad day with the bat then there is no one to rescue them, Bangladesh had a good world cup because Shakib Al Hasan was performing very well, they need to find new talents if not it will be difficult for them to even maintain a good winning streak even in their home soil.
The teams around just one or two players mostly have not enough wins same happening to Bangladesh now time for them to concentrate in batting and bring some good and quality players otherwise they could be more down and Afghanistan is doing very good in recent time even they was worst in World Cup but the have good lessons from these defeats and now playing good and quality cricket which is good for sub continent as Sri Lanka Pakistan and Bangladesh all down in moral and quality.

not worry about Shakib much, he's a champion cricketer and arguably lone warrior for Bengali team. he's going to bounce back sooner or later, just a matter of time. Hopefully Final?
Shakib is a proven quality player. I think it's the captaincy for which he is in pressure. Otherwise, I can't see any reason. Anyway, at the end of the day, a team is a combination of 11 players. One or two player's bad performance can get you the lose while our all the top and middle is performing so poorly.
There were eleven players in a team, but if a single player have performed well as that of kohli and Smith does in most of the matches would've taken Bangladesh to win the match. India has got Kohli who makes the team steady even when there is continued fall in wicket. Shakib has got big wins to Bangladesh, by that time he was praised as good to be a captain. Now there is something lacking, he needs to identify and make necessary changes to get back on track.

We already have seen a glimpse in the Asia Cup
What is it about? I can not recall much LOL however in the World cup I do not think Afghanistan make any impact except only one match I think. ODI version Afghanistan still has a long way to go.

Yeah overall they were poor but not against Ind and Pak. Ask any Indian and Pakistani cricket fan  Grin

In Asia Cup they won games against Sri Lanka, Bangladesh in league games. Gave good scare to both Pakistani/Indian fans (Match end up in draw) in Asia Cup and a similar story in WC (Close games).

Possibly. Shakib is the key player for both their betting and bowling unit.

Afghanistan is looking in very good shape with some world class T20 players. Rashid, Nabi, Naib, Mujib all are highly paid T20 players in different team in IPL. But here they are playing together for their own country.

Yeah, they are excellent T-20 team. Afg can give tough fight Top Ranking Team in the shorter format too. We already have seen a glimpse in the Asia Cup and a couple of matches in the World Cup. But they still have a long way to go.

Got lucky i suppose, Afghanistan already got those 3 match winner player and they can single-handedly win the game for Afghan team. Rashid did good captaincy and made some notable changes with his bowling options and batting order which is working for them as of now. Especially with Gulbadin Naib, he's an okay all-rounder, but sometimes he can be disastrous for his team be it batting or bowling (WC).

Ban team got lucky against Zimbabwe. because zim bowler bowled very bad deliveries to both Hossains and that they punished them rightly.
Did anyone notice Shakib is also not performing as expected? Bangladesh team seems lost after the World cup.

Nice tip there bro Smiley Honestly I didn't expect AFG to win the T20 against BAN. Now the Afghans are leading the table in the tri-series winning both the matches against BAN and ZIM and mostly will face BAN in the final. If the Afghans manage to win the final it would be a huge disappointment for the BAN team and it's fans.

Against Zimbabwe, luckily Mosaddek Hossain and Afif Hossain saved the team but this time cleaver Afghanistan bowlers managed to stop them.

Yes, Bangladesh has lost to Afghanistan. I find Afghanistan getting stronger day by day while Bangladesh keeps declining in its performance. One important thing that is causing loss for Bangladesh is the over confidence taking Afghanistan as a small team which is not good with any games.
I doubt it was over confidence. It's the top and middle orders in their batting line up. They failed again. Against Zimbabwe, luckily Mosaddek Hossain and Afif Hossain saved the team but this time cleaver Afghanistan bowlers managed to stop them.

Their bowlers were doing very well, very economical especially Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Rashid Khan and Naib.
