Lucknow Super Giants won this match easily at Lucknow.

CSK could have made more runs but LSG bowlers were good which caused CSK a few early wickets. Jadeja got good runs but he was slow but Dhoni came in the end and got CSK to a decent total. LSG started well as both the openers got their half century and they both were the reason why LSG won the match comfortably.

The biggest reason for CSK's loss was the poor performance of the opening pair. Especially, Rachin Ravindra, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shivam Dube, and Sameer Rizvi due to a lack of consistency in their performances. Had MS Dhoni got a few more balls, maybe a few more runs would have gone ahead.

On the other hand, LSG is a very strong team with a bowling side and batting site for this season. The consistency of each of them is worth watching. All the best for LSG. I hope that if they can't take the IPL Cup this time, they will take it the next day.

LSG should give more chances to Shamar Joseph instead of dropping him right away after one game, the reason he was wicketless in LSG's previous match against KKR was solely due to poor fielding. This is where Chennai Super Kings mainly struggled as their top-order batsmen failed to keep the run score above 176 runs. Rachin Ravindra of Chennai Super Kings was bowled out on the first ball so Chennai Super Kings were under pressure early on and could not score many runs in the first power play. Rahane, Ruturaj Gaikwad though tried to ease some pressure but they too could not take their innings far. However, if Mahendra Singh Dhoni had come to bat with Ravindra Jadeja earlier in tomorrow's match, the innings score could have been 200 plus due to Dhoni's aggressive innings, but unfortunately, Chennai Super could not take their score above 176 runs. This is basically the main failure of Chennai Super Kings.

I will definitely blame the Chennai Super Kings bowlers for the reason of losing the match against Lucknow Super Giants because the Chennai Super Kings bowlers did not bowl very well which resulted in Chennai Super Kings losing by 8 wickets against Lucknow Super Giants. Lucknow Super Giants openers KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock batted brilliantly in the target of 177 runs given by Chennai Super Kings. Quinton de Kock and KL Rahul batted brilliantly due to the responsible batting of both of them, were able to defeat a strong team like Chennai Super Kings. Quinton de Kock scored 54 runs from 43 balls. OKL Rahul was dismissed for 84 off 53 balls. I was totally unprepared to see Chennai Super Kings lose yesterday's match. Chennai Super Kings in yesterday's match did not have a good batting and bowling performance due to which they scored only 176 runs. If the bowlers of Chennai Super Kings could have bowled well, then Lucknow Super Giants batsmen KL Rahul and Queanton de Kock would not have been able to make a partnership of 134 runs. The opening pair of Lucknow Super Joint completely knocked Chennai Super Kings out of the game after which Chennai Super Kings could not come back into the game. Most of Chennai Super Kings' bowlers scored high runs per over in yesterday's match, including Mustafizur Rahman and Tushar Deshpande, who scored over 40 runs in their four overs. But there is a relief news that Chennai Super Kings were defeated by Lucknow Super Giants in yesterday's match but they managed to retain their previous position in the points table due to Chennai's good run rate.

Nepal were really in my favourite list to qualify for upcoming Asia cup because they way they perform in his previous matches through out the year was a clear indication of thier phenomenal performance but I don't know why Thier batting order unable to handle pressure and collapse from start of his innings. Rather than jora none of them even scored a double digit score which is quite disappointing because that victory worth much for them compared to all previous once but it ok now we should accept such results and looking forward to see final results where UAE will face Oman which look like UAE victory but it will depend on current day performance because things are now becoming more unpredictable.

I think we should also give credit to Lucknow Super Giants who really took this match to their level best and turned out to be a much more mature and better team on the ground. KL Rahul and his team showed the maturity in the batting line up which was lagging in Chennai Super Kings teams.

I wonder why MS Dhoni do not come up the order as the CSK is missing someone like Dhoni in the top order who can not only survive on the wicket but make quick runs too so that the pressure is lifted from other batsmen of the team.

Today the 34th match of IPL was played between Chennai Super Kings and Lucknow Super Giants. LSG won by 8 wickets and 6 balls remaining.
LSK winning the toss, made CSK bat first. CSK with a not out half century from Ravindra Jadeja and 28 runs of 9 balls from MS Dhoni, made a good defendeble score of 176.
But the batting of LSK openers shattered the dreams of CSK to rise further in table. Quinton de Kock and KL Rahul made an opening partnership of 134 without any loss. Quinton de Kock was out at 54 while KL Rahul was out at 82. Nicholas Pooran and Marcus Stoinis finished the game.

Overall, in this season CSK looks like a weak outfit or at least performs below par when playing away from home. Their best hope is to make into finals and rely on some luck after all, the final is scheduled in their backyard.

They made it in the end without much effort. I don't know why CSK captain kept Matheesha Pathirana on hold for so long. He could have been brought earlier. The first wicket partnership between Quinton de Kock and KL Rahul added 134 runs, and by then the match was over. It was important to bring in the strike bowlers before it was too late.
