It is always nice to see Chennai Super Kings winning matches. Their performance shows how important captaincy is in T20 cricket. Bowling first, they were able to restrict a very strong team like Mumbai Indians to 157/8. The spin duo of Mitchell Santner and Ravindra Jadeja once again did a great job, and shared 5 wickets between them. I am not surprised with Jadeja, but the exceptional performance from Santner so far was unexpected. And for the Mumbai Indians, Cameron Green hasn't clicked in a way they want him to be. So far he has scored just 17 runs and picked up 1 wicket.
Chennai Super Kings which many have become a symbol of confidence in IPL. How much a good captaincy can motivate a team and can be gauged, that can be clear by looking at this team performance. Disappointing batting from MI as they gave a target of 157 to CSK. The 15.25 crore worth Ishan kishan once again failed to score runs. I don't know why MI is spending too much money on IK, he was a failure in last IPL but IK was once again bought by MI for 15.25 crore. Its good opportunity for CSK to improve there standings on points table. MI has spent so much on Rohit and IK that they forgot to buy some quality bowler.
