Today's fixture is between Lucknow Super Giants and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Due to this only one match per day policy IPL has been stretched to 2 months which is killing its charm. Yes its beneficial for sponsors who can occupy the boards for 2 months and may be because of there pressure BCCI has stretched its duration to two months. The shorter the duration of tournament the more entertaining it is.

I felt he got his form back yesterday as a batter and bowler. He did take a single wicket on a pitch that was only favoring spinners. It is too early for him to again get selected for the Indian team. If he is consistent throughout this season then I am sure he would be considered. Whatever happens what I saw yesterday of him was absolutely mind blowing. I never expected him to get his team back into the game that too in a situation wherein their batting lineup had already collapsed.

ODI WC coming as well and he could be a fine asset along with Pandaya as it provides more variety in your bowling attack and strengthens the lower batting order.

Kohli scored 89 runs on 49 balls in first game against Mumbai Indians and yesterday he scored 21 runs, so not a bad start for King Kohli of IPL 8. King is under criticism for time I don't remember now but still he is selected for the natioanl team since he occasionally play some good knocks. Moreover king has also realised that now matter how worse his form will be, he won't be dropped from national side as well IPL has its place because of his celebrity stature.

Kolkata Knight Riders were quite strong on the bowling side. Because of which, Kolkata could not collect a good run in the early stages even though they could collect several runs in the last minute. However, when Royal Challenger Bangalore entered the field to bat, Kolkata performed well from the beginning towards the bowling. Due to which Royal Challenger Bangalore completed only half the milestone. Meanwhile, the Kolkata spinner benefited from the bowling of several wickets and fell wickets with fast bowling which put Bengaluru under pressure on the wickets. Although they managed to score few runs in the beginning of the match, when two wickets fell, Bangalore fell behind and the result of the match was a heavy loss for Bangalore.

Apart from Mohammed Siraj and David Willey, they didn't have any experienced bowlers in their squad. And yesterday, Siraj was a complete failure and went for 11 runs per over. Bowlers like Harshal Patel and Karn Sharma are very volatile. Even then, a target of 205 was not that daunting. It is like the average score per innings in today's T20 matches. But then their batting failed completely, with Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis failing to make use of the starts they got. And once Michael Bracewell got out, it was a complete collapse. Two inexperienced KKR bowlers picked up 7 wickets between them (Varun Chakravarthy and Suyash Sharma).

Looking at the match now, the decision by Royal Challengers was wrong. The innings from Shardul Thakur was the difference in this match because they were struggling at 89 for the loss of 5 wickets at one point and then they took the match away from Royal Challengers and the KK spinners were outstanding, may be RR should have included more spinners.
