Even within South Asia, there is a large variation in popularity of the women's game. Indian women's recent tour of England, as well as the women's Asia Cup attracted record audiences, while in countries such as Pakistan there is very little interest in women's cricket. And in SENA nations, franchise leagues such as W100 and WBBL generate revenues that are close to what the men's leagues generate. Women's cricket has evolved over the years and it's growth will continue to outpace that of the men's variety in the next few years. But I don't think that women will overtake men, in terms of revenue and popularity.
Even Ramiz Raja announces about WPSL, and they are working on this but most chances this could be the worst for them because in Pakistan things are no easy for the women's sport but good thing they are working on this and have positive development under Ramiz Raja which is good for the game and women's in this region here we can't compare this with India and SENA because difference is very big and financial problems are also surrounding Pakistan here I can say WIPL can generate better revenue and surely this could be good for the Indian women's game with strong economy and system is surely going to help them, and they can compete with SENA but for any other country in this region it's long term dream because life is not easy with default risk is also on head.

Viewership numbers are low for women's cricket but the numbers posted by Hamza2424 look like a doomsday scenario in women's cricket.

But IMHO overall situation is not that bad, at least in SENA. Also, things are surely improving drastically in India as well and surprisingly BCCI taking the right steps in favor of Women's cricket, WIPL is about to become reality because of this.

The current cricket revolves around BCCI or India. Until BCCI doesn't launch and IPL for women, things wont improve for women cricket. Even Indian women players are advised by BCCI to go and play T20 leagues in Australia and England to gain experience. While there is no NOC for male players for playing any other T20 league. Right now only Australia, England and Newzeland are giving importance to women cricket.
In recent times, India and Pakistan have started to give the importance to women's cricket. The way they want to proceed will make a big difference in the performance of the women's cricket team. No matter where women's cricket financial condition is situated at present but women's cricket will also be profitable in the future.
Importance for the women's team is a must and slowly Asian countries have realised it and are working on it. Nothing big, the importance will drive more women into cricket. If women's cricket isn't supported, surely players won't show interest to play good cricket.

It looks like the days of ODI and test matches have begun. There is no T20 matches for long. Countries like Ghana, Nigeria are playing one off tournament.

surprisingly - women teams get a bit of attention
IF 10% of the attention to be given to women teams they would progress and flourish

When women can show more maturity in cricket, woman cricket will be more stronger. In this regard a player have to be fit for all the aspects. Women cricket is far behind comparatively mens cricket. If they were able to recover a lot from that position. In recent times, various companies have also been trying to give sponsorship. I think women cricket like mens will be able to move forward in the coming days.
Dear from the technical and other aspects Women's T20I cricket is far away. A major questions for the sponsors is how to bring intrest of audience as ita not their job they are most affected ones by the number of audience. Actually there is the lack of the intrest in the Women's Cricket especially in the Asian Region, according to their culture.

Women cricket is less agressive than men's cricket that is why viewership is less. Organizing WIPL won't help in viewership unless these cricketers start working on agression. I haven't seen a lot of close matches in women's cricket and there are a few batters & bowlers who have shown that they can win matches all by themselves.
If the T20 game is not aggressive then the audience or spectators are not interested in that game. When women's cricket have good teams and players who have the game changing power in any situation then women's cricket fan will increased and their cricket can be quite profitable. To create that situation, the cricket organization and all concerned must take initiative.

The viewership number is not going to increase if women are not interested in cricket. And honestly, men are not going to be interested in women’s cricket. Women have to come forward and show appreciation to the fellow women cricketers.

I think cricket is not in a good spot at this moment, and among all the things going on, they are still trying to improve the situation of women’s cricket. If the women’s IPL flops, it is going to be really bad for the future of women’s cricket.
Agreed, Women need to come forward. Only then the future of women's cricket will be good. Viewership increase is just a number count, but the real audience is a must for the growth. More measures have been taken, but things didn't go on the right way. This is the same with every game of women. I see tennis alone an exception where it is possible to see good audience for women same as men.

This is reality of today's world both of them are related to same sport but there is huge discrimination in their treatment, salaries and perks even exposure and tournaments.
Apart from main world cups and Asia Cup they don't have any series to play and excel in cricket.  All facilities and series are limited to men's teams even fan following and audiences are totally inclined towards men's cricket team.

THE regular trend for the T20I men is going be great after the end of December we are going to have well-known tournaments as PSL and IPL I am not sure for the IPL but PSL next season is going to be alive again in end of jan or starting week of the feb.
In the T20, men's cricket are generally more exciting than the women's. Women's Big Bass League ends today. As we are very close to the end of the year, the franchise leagues are about to start again. We can enjoy the games of Pakistan's PSL, Bangladesh's BPL, Australia's Big Bass and India's IPL. First of these games we will see the Australia's Big Bass. This League is going to start from 13 December to 04 February.
I don't know it should be used to discuss over here or not but let me tell you one thing similar to this topic as in recent world cup PAK vs IND or in Asia cup i am not sure but it was the match between PAK and IND and i was watching on a local app Dara yhere was audience 20M+ and after some days i was watching Women's T20I match and audience was 500. Just calculate the difference between both of the matches audience.
This is true and the gender based following needs to change. On an average Women's team too makes score around 150 runs. So women's cricket scoring too is good and slowly this difference needs to be taken off from cricket. The days in which women's were into similar pay slab as men we can experience the change.

We can never consider women's and men's cricket equal. Men's cricket has a huge following. They have a huge fan base. Cricket Boards mainly earn money from sponsors and TV rights. Women's cricket does not get as many sponsors as men's cricket because of its smaller audience. So why should cricket boards spend the same amount of money on women's cricket as men? If the boards earn more money from women's cricket then surely they will increase the perks and salaries.

You are right although formats of matches are same for men and women but men's leagues are more interesting and are followed by more people .
Looking forward to PSL and IPL who'll be starting from January.
Right now Pakistan and England test series are coming up .

Peshawar already announced to book the Babar Azam for the team and if he is in team then he is going to be the Captian.

Good to see Babar moving away from karachi. Last year in PSL, karachi won only one or two games after 6 or 7 straight losses. PSL is known for great pace attacks. IPL on the other hand has players from all around the world. The only thing I don't like about IPL is that there is no international crikcet for entire duration of IPL.
