At one point I really thought that we had a nice chance. We were in a great position but that freak run out of Harman really changed the match.
Gotta feel for her as it was an easy run but her bat stuck at the last moment, she's not going to forget this run out for a long time. Yeah.. I was going through the social media posts and found that Harmanpreet Kaur is suffering from high fever. Pooja Vastrakar has been ruled out, as she is suffering from upper respiratory tract infection. I am not sure, but the symptoms sound like COVID. Radha Yadav had also visited the local hospital yesterday, due to some illness. The BCB is yet to give enough importance for the women's game. As a result, the domestic structure for women's cricket is almost inexistent back in Bangladesh, and the women's team doesn't play matches very regularly. This is one of the reasons why the batters score relatively slowly during the ICC tournaments. There is simply no substitute for match practice. Fielding will also improve if they play regularly against quality opposition. Hopefully the ICC will step in and make arrangements for regular matches between the women's teams, similar to the way they introduced the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League.
