Winning the toss will be good for the team but this does not mean that you win the toss and you will win the match. This is not a UAE pitch where winning the toss grantee your win. Here at Sydney cricket ground, you still have a chance to win the match even though you have lost the toss. Yes, history tells us that batting first will win you more matches as compared to batting second.

At the end of the day, one team has to win. New Zealand was in a top class form since day of this T20 world cup when they defeated the host team Australia in the very first match. They did not stop from that day and secured their place in the Semi finals.
In fact they were the first team who are confirmed to reach the semi finals. So we cannot underestimate them in today's match especially when the condition of Australian pitches is similar to their home ground pitches.

Pakistan on the other hand gained form at the end of the super stages and won their last three matches to qualify for the Semi finals. They needed results from other teams as well and nature also helped them reach this stage, so when nature is with you, you cannot take this team lightly.

If Pakistan wins the toss, then they should definitely bat first. The New Zealand batsmen are in terrific form. I am talking about Glenn Phillips, Finn Allen, Devon Conway and Kane Williamson. If one or two out of these batsmen gets going, then Pakistan will lose the match during the first powerplay itself. In case they bat first, they need to make sure that a decent run rate is maintained from the start. They can't always depend on their middle and lower order to score quick runs in the end. And doing so will be much more difficult against New Zealand.

Babar Azam has that ability no doubt. But one of my online friend discussed about this, the kind of cricket Babar Azam has played in this biswacup (Hindi maybe) I think he will want to forget about this World Cup. They were almost of the tournament and there were so many memes about Pakistani players but now the whole Pakistani nation is so happy - this is the biggest surprise so far.

I think Pakistan's Come Back and Luck Favor have both been very good towards the end. Pakistan lost their first match against India early in the tournament. Pakistan later lost by one run to Zimbabwe too and many had accepted that Pakistan would be the first to be eliminated from the Super 12. But in the next three matches, Pakistan made a remarkable comeback. Pakistan beat South Africa, Netherlands and Bangladesh in back-to-back matches. But the statistics were not so simple unless the Netherlands could beat South Africa. As South Africa lost to Netherlands, Pakistan secured the semi-final with a win over Bangladesh.
