I have used a Telegram notifier bot but I have missed some important notifications from campaign managers before because it doesn’t work all of the time. It would be nice to have the feature natively built in on Bitcointalk. There are other forums using SMF software that have had this feature for a long time so it should be possible for devs to implement it if enough people request it.

@all, why don't the forum have it's own. Although someone mentioned the notification at the top left. It is not very flexible.
When you want to reply to a post or want to post - then try to pay attention to the bottom left corner. Enable the "Notify me of replies" feature before you post - I guess it will notify you every time someone replies to your post. Maybe just a quote - not a mention, and a notification will go to your email.

I don't know exactly why forums don't have the same advanced notification features as third parties have so far - if forum did, perhaps users wouldn't need such bots. But to meet the needs of users - TryNinja has really contributed to that. Telegram notification bot was one of the great works of his that I know of.

I also like the BTTSuperNotifier_bot. If you use it, you will like it. The notification is almost instantly.

Alternatively, you can try LoyceV's notification bot (7 days retroactive). You can read more about it on this link: LoyceV's notification bot (7 days retroactive)
I have checked both, from the links sent me, it seems that the telegram notifier will be simpler to use. Thank you all I will have to try it.

I understand that this forum is not like social media. But on facebook, X and other social medias, someone could be mentioned by @tag or #tag. But I have tried to use @tag but it seems that those people doesn't instantly get notified. Myself, I have not been notified before. I can assume that no one mentioned me yet because I'm not popular.
Which tag works fine for the forum to notify people because the forum is too large, it is difficult to track conversations.

Everything works fine. I didn't see the @nickname used in your last posts. But I agree that I received a notification in a telegram that you quoted me. I also saw your PM. But you should understand that writing personal messages is considered bad form; this can be understood as unsolicited PM № 29. I didn't answer you because I don't see any reason to send me a PM, just as I don't see any point in answering.
Yes, after sending the message I knew it wasn't worth replying because there was nothing concrete. I was beclouded by emotions.

BitcoinTalk forum has a Telegram bot you can use to receive notifications. If you are mentioned somewhere in a forum like Telegram bot then you will get instant notification through the bot. I like the notification system very much because through notification I always get updated news and if someone mentions I can see it at that time. I think this telegram bot is very important for forum users. Because this notification system was not there before, now since the notification system has come, the users of the forum can see everything they have mentioned beautifully. I have not forwarded any new links to you, please join with the links or bot usernames given above.

Obviously your issue here isn’t if the tags work or not, it’s more about the notifications. Surely the forum isn’t like your everyday social media where they are always out for engagements, but the project and those who own accounts on them. The forum works independently of these rules and notifications could be very disturbing if you ask me, that’s if you happen to be everyone’s person of interest.
The forum however has setups for notifications by third parties. You can get notified on telegram by telegram bot following specific process to the setup of a notifier. A lot of users on the forum that finds this to be of interest does use it, I do and if it’s of any importance to you, you can too. Just follow the already suggested link/thread by Hazink.

I can assume that no one mentioned me yet because I'm not popular.
If you are not too famous in the forum as one of most contributors, or one of historic scammers or similar, it's very less likely anyone in the forum will mention your name, or tag you.

If you are a newbie, each time you log in your account, pay attention on "Show new replies to your posts" and you will be fine to track discussions that you are engaging with.

You don't need to use any bot in this case, but if you want, it's freedom.

@OP i guess you should look into this thread of yours and follow what other's recommendation on telegram notification bot, i guess most users here use that tool including mine for several months already. Now if you are not fan of telegram better to use LoyceV's tools instead. And lastly lock this thread.

I don't see this to be an issues or problems to you because we can always track our records through the bots which i think they have already mentioned it to you, again you will be noticed if you start involving yourself with much discussion regularly here in the forum.
You know lot of people always wish this forum to function like social app where they can easily navigate the site so easily without knowing that all site must not function the same as we may have think, it is very easily to change our mindset and study the forum gradually to know how it works.

Once you use the BTTSuperNotifier_bot, you already attached your UID.. it should automatically send you notification once you get quoted or mentioned but what i don't know is if it works with that "@" but once your name is mentioned anywhere on the forum it should notify you. You can also "trackphrases" i.e any  phrase you want to get notified
for example: if you  track the phrase "P2WPKH" and a random person makes a post containing "P2WPKH", you  will get notified...
To do this goto: /menu>tracked phrases ,you can add new or remove.. you can always repeat the process anytime

@Hazink is correct. Even without the "@" mention, if a user replies to your post with a quote, you’ll still get notified through the Telegram notifier. It’s one of the most useful tools on Bitcointalk, you should try it! There are more features in there beyond what you’ve mentioned.

If you want to get notification when you are mentioned, you need to use @BTTSuperNotifier_bot and give it that command to notify you even without adding the @ or what so ever. As long as your username has been mentioned or you are quoted, you will get notified by the bot.
