Religion is a tool for the enslavement of the people and the state. No wonder religious denominations do not pay taxes. They are beneficial to the state.
If you pay attention to what one Soviet politician said, that religion is a drug for the people, that is why in every way they limited the person's ability to communicate with the church. Even the priests were executed or sent to hard labor. It was really the rule of atheism.

That was Mao Ze-Dong, the chinese. But Communism is a special kind of Atheism, they replace God with the cult of personality.
Up until now Lenin's mummy remains there to be sort of worshiped.

This thread is quickly turning into a theological showdown. How about we start betting bits? Cheesy

You realize the OP was nothing but slander and attacks against atheists... right?

There is no "quickly turning" into a theological showdown... it began that way

You cannot start a thread by shitting on atheists and expect a pleasant conversation

Or do you not see anything combative about the OP?  Are you that blind/bigoted?

I don't blame you for standing up for your atheism religion like you do. Many religious people stand up for their religion.

The thing that is amazing is that you can think that you have enough knowledge to know that God does not exist. Either you are very blind and ignorant to think like this, or you are a liar.

Cool

Again, not playing sport is not a sport.

Yes you are right, when we talk about sport that is. But tell me this, neither religious people can prove that God exist or atheists can prove that God does not exist. So, both sides believe in what they think it is right and truth. Belief is tricky thing. But there are those who believe in something and stay quiet, but there are also those who want everyone to believe what they believe. In that moment atheism becomes religion on its own, like any other religion. Atheism religion, believing that God does not exist. Difference is that atheistic preachers don't wear black robes or what ever.

I would agree with you if you had said "If theists couldn't prove that God exists, or if atheists could prove prove that God does not exist...

The first point is that the proof for the existence of God is here:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.10718395
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.14047133
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1662153.40
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.16803380.

However, suppose that the atheist can't understand the proof clearly. And suppose that the atheist can't see that the complex machine, nature exists. Then the atheist can't see that it is not impossible for God to exist somewhere, as well.

Since the atheist is ignorant enough that he can't see that God might exist, hidden away somewhere in the universe, in a place that the atheist hasn't been able to examine, the atheist simply has a religion going for himself in his atheism. If the atheist is a scientist and is reasonably intelligent, then the atheist is simply hiding the truth of this fact from himself... or lying out-rightly.

My point is, we are not discussing the existence of God with the atheists who have read the material in the links, or the stuff in this and many similar posts. It looks like we are discussing the existence of God. But that is not what we are discussing here.

What are we really discussing, then? The only thing that we are discussing (since the atheist can easily see that his atheism does not really exist), is who can out-talk the others.

Let the atheist blab. That's all he can do. Even if he says that the theists blab, he is only blabbing. How do we know? Two ways:
1. He can't scientifically rebut the proof that God exists as shown in the links above;
2. He can't prove that God doesn't exist, the thing he would have to do to prove that atheism is valid.

Yes, but, according to the definition of religion, adamantly being against sports, and adamantly being in favor of sports, are both religion.

If an atheist is firmly convinced of his beliefs, then it does not make any sense to talk with him. The fact is that I believe that atheism is also a kind of faith, which they reject. Absurd.

That would apply to ANY religion, specially the most fanatical ones. See my point?
Many atheists are detouring to a sort of fanaticism in all equal to the worse known religions.

Bible people are mixed up.

Cool

This is what alcoholics would call "a moment of clarity".

Yes BADlogic, you are very mixed up.
Now you've accepted you have issues, (always the hardest part), let's move onto the next step and see if we can steer your ship towards the truth, instead of it's current collision course into an iceberg.

Well done by the way, I think you're now ready for the next step. Don't let us down.  Smiley

Previously, when there was no media, people could be controlled by religion. Now more and more people are managed through news and advertising. More and more people stop believing in religion, because they find explanations for all things with the help of science. You can say that religion is losing its relevance and is more like business.

Here, rates will not help. I do not know who will win, either. I have never had to communicate with an atheist, and therefore I do not have a leg to understand their degree of denial of faith or religion. Without faith it is impossible to live.

Well here you go.... let me be exhibit "A". I have no faith in any religion and I continue to live.

Besides, communicating on this forum you are effectively communicating with atheists.

Surprise!

Winner winner, chicken dinner!

BADlogic spoke a true statement!

The Muslim uses two languages, while the English speaking person uses only one with reference to the things he believes.

Umm... you realize the bible was written in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek... right?

Because Muslims use a subtle, double standard when talking about God. They might speak English when explaining things to English speaking people, but they use Arabic when saying what they think is the name of God. Yet English speaking people are taken in by it. How? Because "God" is not God's name, just as Allah is not God's name.

The Bible says that Bible people are not to take God's name in vain. Bible people are mixed up. They think they are using God's name in vain when using IT to talk to Muslims. So they use the word "God" instead of God's name.

What's the result of this? The name of God is powerful. When Bible people simply use the word "God," they remove much of the power. They become like Islam, because the word God means the same thing as the word Allah. Both are only the word "God" in different languages.

So, what is the subtle, double standard that Muslims use and that Bible people fall for? Muslims subtly elevate the word "Allah" above the word "God" by barely ever using the word "God." This attempts to draw the English speaking person into subjection to the Arabic speaking person. The Muslim uses two languages, while the English speaking person uses only one with reference to the things he believes.

It's about time that English speaking people use God's name (carefully) when speaking with Muslims, rather than the word "God," so that power can flow from the NAME over the Muslims, so that they turn to God, or are, like Moloch, locked into their destruction with a vengeance.
