How much power drain your vega at 8MHS?
Thanks for the info. The Vega 64 eats 262 Watt.

Can I use a RX580 in PCI gen 2 for rocm 1.8.1 and tdxminer? I use an older PC for mining. 2 GPU are installed: Vega64 and RX580.

The Vega64 (PCIe x16 Gen 2 via riser) is ok and runs with 8 MH/s. The RX580 is plugged directly into a PCIe x16 Gen 2.
rocm-smi finds both cards, clinfo and tdxminer only the Vega64.

Only can mix rxs and vegas with all gen-3 mobo and cpu with atomics. Or two rigs, one with rocm for vegas and another with amdgpu-pro for rxs.

Great work you got there, 3% is a low dev fee when RXs mine together with 1080TIs, the kernel can fit an rx460/560? or is there too much work to do? Wanna mine lyra on the little guys too!

What is the power usage like for RX 570/580? Anyone with some info on this? Smiley

from 120w to 140w per GPU, depending on how much you can overclock and undervolt!

Thanks for the information about the power draw for the Rx 570/580s. It appears that lyra2z doesn't offer the significant power savings when compared to mining that algorithm on Nvidia. :/ It's still good to have more options in any case.

Hi, I'm having 5x RX570, it uses 620W from wall and gives 14.5 MH/s. they work on 1500 or 1750 MHz.

Can you provide your motherboard model reference, my rig can only run 1 GPU Cry

You can shorten it, I did not bother. It just sets clocks, fan speeds and voltage states. You could have one line and another loop for volt state, but as I said I did not bother. Then just calls the miner. Replace pool, wallet and password obviously. If the miner crashes it repeats itself. Then only downside is that the only way to stop it as of now is to reboot the rig Smiley I did not bother with improving it so far, you people are free to do so.

The params are for the RX 580 cards if you wondered, but I have the exact same params for the RX 470 cards.

how should i run it in SSH in hiveos

What about Fury X (Fiji) ?
I have 6 cards, they are showing in rocm-smi, fan setup is working.
But in tdxminer mines only 1 card (main pci slot) Asus z270-p. I tried all (pci gen's) in BIOS motherboard but nothing.
alredy i have modified grub file on size 9

how about speed for Fury?

Thanks

3.7-4

Hm how do you run it on fury? My R9 290x failes to initialize. I thought only RX series is supported.

bios mod, but work only 1-2 card on z270 tuf mk2

Hm interesting. What kind of mod did you use. I can't see how a bios mod would help. Can you be a little more specific please?

@alizali: Thanks for the info. Did not use HiveOS before but good to know.

@labr23: What settings for gpu, mem and voltage provide these hash values? Thanks.

I just have mod bios. I do not use overclock
   DPM 7 CORE 1150Mhz V 775   MEMSTATE 2 MEM 2050Mhz       PWR 90.55 W
and
        DPM 7 CORE 1300Mhz V 900   MEMSTATE 2 MEM 2080Mhz       PWR 99.14 W

Thanks. I guess V 775 means 775mV for gpu core and actually sounds quite low. But as long as cards are stable it should be OK. Maybe cuz of the algo being not a power hungry one.

yea hiveos has the aggresive undervolt that sets all states now im using with tdxminer seems ok..do that then replace one of the unused miners with tdxminer and you can get hashrate display also

can you explain more about this change

good work, thank you

470-570 4gb 2.6-3 mh/s

580 4gb ~3.2 mh/s

What are your settings for these hash rates? I appreciate if you can share.

As fa ras I know Lyra2z is gpu intensive so GPU Oc is required but mem makes no difference so it can be downclocked. At least this is how it works for GTX cards.

Dont know about RX cards.

For all cards:

core: 1167
mem: 2000
voltage: 900

This makes the cards work at very low temps and use very little electricity.

i install tdxminer in hiveos in home/user folder
i also can run i have also hash
my gpu are 470
but i can not find best OC undervoltage and hash
now i can get 3mh/s per card but temp and power usage is high
i will appreciated and can donate for someone who can help me

Not experienced about Linux and RX card management but as far as I know it is quite hard and complex to apply software based voltage regulation for RX cards in Linux. You may think you are tweaking voltage but in fact your card is still running at default voltage which can cause high consumption and temps.

I did not use it but there is a paid (also free with limited functionality) tool called OhGodATool. You may try it but it looks like it is more appropriate for ppl with linux based mining farms.

Best option looks like editing VBIOS with gpu and memory clock along with voltage settings and flashing it to card and run it without any other changes in miner.

Need to find one good setting and u r done for good. No more on the fly settings with software.

over hiveOS undervolt is working for ETH,XMR or so on
ohGodATool is only for 1080 not RX

No, unfortunately I did not go that far. Could probably do it if I set my mind to it, but to me it seems a waste of time. I have an Android app that shows my miners and all related data for YIMP based pools. Its more reliable to see on pool side anyway. And tdxminer did not crash even once so far for me. Super stable.
