Yea I have already broken that!

I have a few cards with aluminium shims instead of thermal pads and can max the memory to +2000. Gives around 111.5MH/s (reported speed). Memory temps drop like crazy with aluminium/copper shims.

So all things being equal, is a kernel 7 (TBM 1.16) on a RTX 3080 faster compared to whatever kernel was used in 1.15?

no. The cuda 11.2 build has been optimized.
In v1.16 cuda 11.4 #6 is faster. Or it depends on your launch config. There was a user who asked for 110MHASH. Why don't you try Smiley
If you run at 50% tdp, the program will select the fastest kernel for your config automaticly.

If your rig has low tdp, low intensity, autotune will probobly select a lower number kernel.
The rtx 3060 and up works best on 5-7
The gtx 1070 has a new record speed on kernel #4

Why don't you do a comparison between tbminer at 108.5 MHASH and tbminer at 100 MHASH. To reach 100MHASH you need to nerfe the --xintensity, cut alot of power, reduce the clocks and run on a pool that doesn't pay for stale work. The cuda 11_2 build is also helping to reduce the hashrate.

The core lock is really a blessing, locking the core with afterburner is such a chore... What would also be quite nice is the way to set the memory frequency and fan speed as well.

--lock-mclock has been added in v1.16.

There seems to be a bug in the "Average" hash rate when starting up AMD RNDA2 cards and a high intensity value.

yes, this bug is also causing the xintensity -1 to fail on some rigs. Fixed in v1.16. What's up with the colors? Agent Orange  Huh?

Out of the total shares TBM has 125 stale shares so that is about 2%

In 1.16 we will reduce the stales to around 1% or less on etheremine and flexpool.



v1.16
1. Added new and faster nvida CUDA kernels. Improved performance with auto-tune to find the best option for each card.
2. Changed commandline long options use of underscore. Replaced with dash. See --help.
3. Added --kernel option. (NVIDIA) 8 different kernels to choose from. Without this set, autotune is enabled.
4. Added --lock-mclock option. Specifies minimum and maximum memory clocks per GPU. (run as admin)
5. Added --power-limit option. Specifies maximum power limit in watts per GPU. (run as admin)
6. --xintensity reduced to 192 to remove stales from pools.
7. Fixed a bug in average hashrate and xintensity -1 on amd cards.

Preliminary comparison after 12 hours: GMiner VS TBMiner
Used two gemini rigs of 6x3080, identical overclocks (Xintensity 192). Crazypool
            591.50 MH/s 2682/0/0                                                            
TBMiner (ver 1.15):
            615.98 MH/s  2804/0/27

Crazypool doesn't pay for stales anymore. Interesting find with --xintensity 192..

It's Easy to compare by counting the number of accepted shares.

2804/2682 =  +4.54% poolside profit. v1.16 will be faster.

Tested a rig with mixed cards v1.16 with autotune on --xintensity 192. (181.80MHASH). Same speed as 1.15 with --xintensity 400.
v1.16 with autotune and xintensity 400 does 184mhash.

Here is a preview of the autotune function in Team Black Miner v1.16. Tests have shown around +5% on low power configurations and overall a few percent faster.
NVIDIA only for now...

We can Memtweak too. v1.16 will have 8 cuda kernels, you need to test them all to find the fastest one.

Out of the total shares TBM has 125 stale shares so that is about 2% (125/5700)

Try out with High Difficulty Port. Otherwise; switch the Pool, or reduce Memory OC. On Binance (Roll Eyes) i had >2% staleshares too, and now mining somewhere else Shiba INU for ETHash, and guess what happens,..
