Buying With Bitcoin: How to Get Your Money Back When a Purchase Goes Wrong

Remember do not buy from Technobit... or invest.

Technobit Awol.
Minersource site down.

Is it time for the I told you so?

Marto is still online, he's just posted a new BTCJam project yesterday.

https://btcjam.com/listings/35145-mining-equipment-heat-to-power-recuperation-project I'd be interested in technical details, but those percentages are a bit too far fetched even for me.

Actual efficiency of high end thermionic generators is around 10%.

I was looking at something similar last year, but left it with my "to try later" projects because of the following:
-components quite expensive.
-Only 5-10% efficiency to be expected

You can have a look at ATEG efficiency, as an example, or the following article:
http://physicsworld.com/cws/article/news/2013/dec/09/new-generator-creates-electricity-directly-from-heat
And the following explainations from a manufacturer that claims that
Quote
Generally, if you’re getting 2 to 3%
between power in and power out on a bismuth
telluride TEG, you’re doing pretty well.

[...] We need regulation [...]

Dude!!! Shocked Go wash your mouth... Roll Eyes

All we really need is enforcement of existing laws against these these scammers, the fact BTC may or may not be involved is irreverent.

No, all we really need is an armed society. But those "providing" us regulation, regulated the arms away so we wouldn't "regulate" them...   Lips sealed

[...] When it comes to other people's money , then we must have the courage and talk with these people and explain these problems.
No one will rip your head off in this case, I think.[...]

Well... I dunno... but... Marto/Technobit are from Bulgaria...  Tongue

Well it didnt pan out for Chitty Chitty Bang Bang when the Bulgarians tried to dismantle him and rebuild now did it.  Like I've stated before it sucks these companies can take orders and just dissappear.  We need regulation or at least more moderation on this site to circumvent fraudulent activities from these companies.

That's no longer a problem. For 20 euros you can now fly halfway around the world.
Ok , not from Germany , for there the pilots on strike. Again. As just last month. And 14 days before. Huh Huh Huh
And with a low-cost-airline is not an option too.
I give up , you're right. Grin Grin

Marto is probrobly the most honest person in all of bitcoin land.

Furthermore I allow myself no judgment.
We all can come even in difficult situations.
But: When it comes to other people's money , then we must have the courage and talk with these people and explain these problems.
No one will rip your head off in this case, I think.
(ok, the few cholerics are the exception) ;-)
Unfortunately, there are also plenty of black sheeps who want to come on your money.
This talk just hot air and if they have your money, you will never hear again some of those.
They dissolve into what they have promised you. HOT AIR.
And now distinguish even know who belongs to which group.

As I said: Furthermore I allow myself no judgment.

Hello to all people who has been deceived by technobit.eu

After consultation with my lawyer he suggests the following procedure:
( Applies only to people in the EU, all others... sorry )

First:
Write to technobit.eu a letter with the demand for your goods or at your money within 14 days after receipt of the letter.
This letter you send via registered mail with Advice of delivery to technobit.eu.
Registered mail with Advice of delivery  is important! This is the only way you can later prove that you have put your demands against technobit.eu.
(E-Mail with reading confirmation would also be possible , but we know... e -mails will not be read from technobit.eu)

Second:
Wait for the Advice of delivery. Should not take longer than 1 week.
If the letter is not deliverable , which can be assumed , go immediately with your Advice of delivery and your Invoice to a competent authority (police, courts) and make a complaint about Internet fraud against technobit.eu.

If the letter deliverable, wait 14 days.
If you have not received anything until the expiry of the time limit, then ... see above.
A possible message or E-Mail stating "we will send later" you can safely ignore.

So much only once by this time, everything else at a later time.

For eventually grammatical errors, I do not take any responsibility, english is not my native language.

Hey, Bignellski , I know what I wrote !  Grin  Wink Wink
I only hope. it is somewhat understandable.  Shocked Shocked Shocked
I believe that every Englishman gets a laughing fit because of the grammar and the syntax.  Cheesy
I will easily survive, but our English friends .... I dont know, I'm really not sure.

Technobit.eu will now ship all outstanding orders until this weekend.
Well then we 'll see.

Whoops cut paste was off a bit there and the slow laggy internet caused me to post by accident.

Deleted it.

Here is some more ways to get Technobit to take notice of your complaint.

Marto/Technobit isn't responding to pm, has not logged in here in 3 days, looks like we are fucked. Time to file a claim with the EU customer protection unit, Bulgarian section, www.ecc.bg/submit-a-complaint.htm

I never had any bad experience with them. I converted my Blackarrow chips to 4hexm miners and they have performed well.

Meanwhile I have two hundred CPU coolers standing by for boards my hosting customers were expecting delivery on six months ago, paid up front. The only business I've done directly with Technobit was selling them a case of cables last summer, but they've certainly screwed over a lot of people I'm acquainted with. It'll be interesting to see a comprehensive list of hosings and see how they measure up to some other manufacturers.

I especially enjoyed how many new products they developed and started shipping while leaving all the minion customers high and dry since the first part of August. If those boards don't exist, they probably have cases of possibly thousands of Minion chips stashed in a back room somewhere. I'm with novak on this one, they didn't seem to even try to solve the problem.
Bet you money those chips are hashing just fine.
