1. Follow a user (i.e for every time he posts something). Thinking about including an option for disallowing others to follow him.

Yeah I remember I wanted this feature long time Smiley

One question/suggestion like we track topics is it possible to track postings of a specific user?

Unfortunately, this won't go live until I come back from my next trip tho (1-2 months).

Wow that's a long trip...  where you headed Antarctica Cheesy

Just kidding enjoy your trip Smiley

Funny thing, I was coding something like this the moment I got the notification for your post (Grin).

1. Follow a user (i.e for every time he posts something). Thinking about including an option for disallowing others to follow him.

2. Some kind of mailing list. You go to the bot and create a mailing list, you get a code that you can share on your topic. Other people can send the code to the bot so they enable notifications for your list. You, the creator, can notify everyone by adding something like "notify myMailingList" on your post.

I would make the follow have two options, either all new posts or just new topics. Other than that, this sounds great! I keep missing MJ's sales topics that have cool stuff in them, so this would help a lot.

Enjoy your trip!

Would it be possible to add the option to subscribe to someone? As in, if Minerjones creates a new topic, I get a ping from the bot? That would be quite handy, since the emailing function for new topics within Bitcointalk barely ever works.

@TryNinja It's been almost six months since I found your BitcoinTalk Notification BOT but I haven't had any luck using it yet. And this is because the space in my username, the space fell between the special characters. I would like to ask if there is any way to remove this special-character problem ? Although I took the special character ASCII Encoding Reference from here https://www.w3schools.com/tags/ref_urlencode.ASP and set it in your BitcoinTalk Notification BOT to see if it works, but that didn't work either, only Merit Earn's notification worked. Although now I see that nothing is working due to the blocking of CloudFlare, but I asked for help earlier to seek the solution to my old issue.

Hello.
Is the bot up and running? I stopped receiving notification for merits and mentions since 11:45 this morning after a @ddmrddmr mention for the merit tree thread.
It might be a problem on my side as well, as I have poor connection, but it would be weird.

Thank you. Smiley

I think I donated a couple times in the past. I hope it helped since BTC was pretty low at the time. Thanks for the bot, it saves my life daily! Cheesy

Don't you have a donation address? I would share a little amount so that you can cover the expenses. Let me know if you have any. Would feel great.

Edit- Just found the addresses on the OP. My bad.
Thank you. Smiley

I was wondering why yesterday I didn't get a notification from the bot when I got merit, not sure if I have missed any mention/quote lol. It has been a useful tool ever since I started to use it. Is it working now? I received a notification yesterday and no notification since then.

Mayday mayday mayday…. Bot is down… I repeat Telegram bot is down!

back to the roots...  Wink Cheesy
Looks like we are back.  Grin

I created a thread to ask for explanations but no one has showed up yet (including theymos). No idea if he read the thread and fixed it or if the Cloudflare protection was temporarily activated by itself due to a possible DDoS attack.

Forum's Cloudflare turned to always on? (S.O.S bots)

Since I know people will come here for this... use /setMerit XXX to fix your merit count. Cheesy

If anyone uses our address we will noticed it asap and we can reveal those malicious users immediately.
You can already do that. Just add the address as a "tracked phrase" and you'll be notified whenever someone posts it in the forum.

@TryNinja

What about bringing address tracking with notifications as a new feature? In the past, many malicious users have tried to defame them using the addresses of others. Yes we can use it your address scan tools on ninjastic.space but wouldn't be good to interact this option with this bot? If anyone uses our address we will noticed it asap and we can reveal those malicious users immediately.

Hi! Please fix the bot false positive, here is an example of a false positive: "If one user registers under the nickname "carrot", the second under the nickname "rabbit", while others will discuss that they planted carrots in the garden, but rabbits steal it. In this case, the bot will notify them, which is a false positive. It would be more correct when the bot would trigger this in this case: @16xypjnxlrew"

Have you tried entering the /menu --> click "Tracked Topics" --> "Add New" and see all the whitelisted thread on the list when you are asked to enter the URL? If the thread appears, then you just need to wait for the new replies for the notification to pop-up.

I've tried it myself and the thread have been successfully registered.

I use this notification for my Telegram. It's quite easy and helpful in getting notifications. Long story short, my cell phone was found in a damaged condition and the Telegram data couldn't be saved. Including the cellular card.
I tried registering with a new card and activating in the same way. However, the bot doesn't respond to the tracking of the new thread that I'm about to input. What's the solution?

And I recently learned that redirection topics are automatically deleted after 60 days
I didn't know that In that case, I'll just create the redirect topics from now on.

I find your lack of faith in Bitcoin disturbing.
If moved by a moderator?
I assume it's the same, but from what I've seen many Mods create a redirect topic. When I move a topic, I untick it to prevent clutter.

Yes, we have the same option (no more, no less). And I recently learned that redirection topics are automatically deleted after 60 days (if the redirection message has not been modified).
