My biggest problem in trading is that I was too brave to buy altcoin at a high price, and because of that I often lost my btc, even once I lost 50% of my btc when I bought altcoin at a price far above ICO.

So please give me feedback on this, what should I do?
The best trading strategy is using the poloniex Poloniex is an online money trading in where you ca inveat your bitcoin. You can also buy a bitcoin and sell a bitcoin when the value of the bitcoin becomes higher.
So do you think using or trading in poloniex is a trading strategy? i just caught you suggesting an exchange is not a strategy that op asks indeed poloniex one of the great exchanges

Seems like very funny because I don't think Poloniex is trading strategy. As per my knowledge trading is just buy low and sell them at a high price, but you need to be careful when doing this because sometimes you need to wait for more than 2 r 3 months for profits.

OP buy low sell high and don't buy in bubble. That is my strategy.
Just invest in 1 BTC then when you get 1 more take the half for your self and use the other half for investment, so you get like $1,500 profit (if you want use your 2BTC and Hold then sell and invest for 4BTC)
When you invest money and buy 1BTC and bitcoin value goes up you will still have 1 btc, not 2 or 4.

Firstly, you should not be over confident. Secondly, stop selling bitcoins for altcoins. Altcoins are nothing as compared to bitcoins. It’s as if you are selling diamond for purchasing gold. Even when the prices of bitcoins are dumping, it’s damn obvious that they will recover with a huge margin. So just stay patient when prices are low. Instead of panicking, hold onto your bitcoins.
I don't agree with you, we have different strategy to improve our income and I believe buying altcoins could give us money also as
not all altcoins are shitcoins. If you check on the top 10 market, some of those altcoins are cheap before but they grow more than 50 times which I
think would not be possible anymore in a short period of time if you put your money with bitcoin alone.
yes that is right different people have different interested, some people like to trade bitcoin and they mostly hold their  bitcoin while other people like to invest  money in altcoin from where they can get good profit even by investing small amount of money.

Just wait for the normal time to come in the trade. It is rare to happen because you have invested after the ICO ended which must be very high price. It also depends on the coin and the related project development. If the project is good enough then you may have "chances". Otherwise just withdraw money from the coin when it is at least close to your break even point.

to me my speculation is very simple to me i will like to hold my bitcoin for a long time, because people are continuously investing money in bitcoin and i am sure that after 1st August the price of bitcoin is expected to increase too much.

There are many different ways to profit. The key is to find a strategy that is compatible with your personality and psychological tolerance for volatility and loss.

1. You can buy and hold bitcoin alone and forget about it for 5 years.

2. You can dollar cost average a concentrated portfolio of 5-8 coins with strong technologies: Byteball, Decred, Ethereum, Factom, Litecoin, Monero, NEM, Waves buying them only on selloffs and holding them for at least 2-5 years.

3. You can act as market maker buying only at the bid and selling at the offer claiming a small profit on the bid ask profit.

4. You can buy only on days with violent selloffs and sell off 2 or three days latter for a 20% to 30% profit when the market returns to normal.

5. You can buy a large portfolio of 30-40 coins and buy and hold most of them long term and harvest profits when one of your coins experiences a 100% single day pop.

My preferred strategy is #6, but each trader will have their own views and preferences on what works for them. I have noticed some people don't really have the stomach for crypto volatility and if they play at all can only do so with tiny position sizes.

If do that you will have a safe point on market, and I remember this type have a name is turtle trader. They always waiting a signal from market and when market "normaly", not as now very panic by the news can make the price fluctuations strong.

Step 1 - Buy Bitcoin

Step 2 - Put them in storage and don't touch them

Step 3 - Retire

That's too straight to say. It's not that easy to enter into the bitcoin and exit it as is as retirement. It needs proper planning and execution of time. Who says that bitcoin won't fall in the future. Have you thought of any regulating authority that may come in existence to control the bitcoin over rating and use? Anything can happen and it's better to keep the investment liquid to keep up the fresh air in the room.

Don't fight with trend and buy on dips sell on highs. Thats really simple.
Leave your emotions and concentrate on price actions.
Look for quality alt coins. Nowadays ETH is very risky to go long.
Look for other alt coins such as WAVE, Ripple, PLR

Don't forget to check ICO's they give nice opportunity.
Also for ICO investments check ICO managers reputation. If a campaign managed by a verified manager then don't afraid to jump in.
Good luck

You are losing money because your speculation were wrong, you need to learn more about the reason that drives the price, you need to learn on how to get the most updated and accurate news about crypto currencies, trading is about experience and analyzing skill, when do more trading you will become better and better

So here's my experience trading at Paxful:

1)Never buy Impulsively just because you're tired of waiting; Be patient!

2)Read the FAQ's

3)Always consult support or a trustworthy trader that can mentor you on said platform.

4)Don't grieve over losses too much.
Your strategies are seeming practical and working effectively, these strategies look like the key role for perfect trading. But the highly recommending thing is that you have to choose the wise and trustable platform for trading and I hope you will never ever lose because soon the prices of bitcoins rises again.

I am simply dealing with bitcoins with significantly less complicated strategy of holding for longer haul. In long term bitcoin will get us profits, this is my strategy and I am sure I can make profits but only in long term basis.

If you want to learn different trading techniques and trading strategy just watch many videos in the youtube. There are a lot of information in the youtube and for sure you can learn a lot from it.

youtube is a great source but when it comes to trading its slowly getting overwhelmed by fuds/hypes. i think you shouldn't trust anyone who specifically gives a coin to buy or

that has a great future etc. because its certainly another way to pump or dump it. trust someone who gives guidelines and strategies. and when it comes to that articles are a

great source when i was a newbie i was like op who jumps at pumps but now now because i've learned my lesson not to but if i'm gonna jump i'd make sure that i get out

immediately after getting a profit obviously. and for ico's just pick the right coin with a good concept and devs but if you just can't pick the right one, maybe you should stop.
