Bitcoin in the next five years. It may become the mainstream payment method. But to turn into that ,bitcoin needs to make itself familiar to the large section of the population. Take for instance , credit/debit cards. People are familiar with it ,which is why they put their faith into it. Bitcoin needs to remove the mysterious air around it. Only then i believe it can grow and develop.

don't think bitcoin will lose the mysterious for quite a long time as people who do find it mysterious don't know what bitcoin is. it doesn't cost a whole lot time to get to know bitcoin. but they must be willing to do so.

What is the obstacles, challenges and problems that Bitcoin can face it in 5 years? How we can help Bitcoin to take more authoritative place in the world of currency system?

Anything could happen really. The situation is like Schrodinger's cat.  But I would say chances are more likely that it grows bigger since I see a lot of potential and that huge companies and websites are using bitcoins as a payment method. Bitcoin is the future. I don't see bitcoin being ''dead'' any time soon. That phase will be over.

Yes, it functions well as a payment gateway and a mode of transaction rather than just behave like it as something people would invest their money in. Making bitcoin a currency as an investment, is how it serves to be the best at both the categories. I just feel the more trade takes place, the further it grows as a currency and as well as an investment as both co-depend on each other for acceptance.

Bitcoin does have a few setbacks though, but mostly it will only be growing further more in the future. Issues like slow adoptions , etc might take place and affect it . Yes, the more trade takes place , the more bitcoin grows into a stronger currency and investment .  Over all, only win-win . Grin

x7 is too optimistic, litecoin is still halfway to its last ath which was above 0.06 if i'm not mistaken, and even if it can achieve that, 0.06 with current bitcoin price(remember that ltiecoin is tied to bitcoin and not the contrary) is still nothing like the old 0.06

litecoin price increase will never unleash the real boom of bitcoin, it's always the opposite

Exactly. Litecoin is being pumped, and their way down is going to be hard. It's actually quite unusual for it to grow this much while Bitcoin isn't growing (still around $270).
I'm actually pretty confident that Bitcoin is going to be priced quite high. I don't see a reason for this not to happen, unless something really bad happens (protocol gets broken and whatnot). It is just going to take a while before people catch on.
It is still pretty new and a mystery to most. A lot of people even have a wrong understanding of the digital currency. I don't prefer to call it virtual since it reminds me of currencies used in various online games.

Just think, If LTC goes up 7x in a couple of months, easily BTC could be on $1750 on same period, maybe hit it price on December of this year.

The main problem Bitcoin faces is the scaling it up issue, its no coincidence the blocksize debate as been one of the most heated debates over software of all times.
Once this gets solved next year then we'll march towards 1K floor prices.

My prediction is rather conservative, based on the track record it has to date. I should think the Greece situation should inject some demand over Europe, and the price might go up to $300 by the end of this year. The halving will also push it up a bit more to $500. The merchant base will gradually increase and some of these projects funded by VC capital will slowly push bitcoin into the mainstream. PayPal will slowly loose traction and Western Union will move over to blockchain technology to retain their market share. ^Keeping thumbs^

Bitcoin is the upcoming trend. Now is the time , to spread the trend like a wildfire across the whole global village. People , they need to put their faith with such a concept. And that's only possible if bitcoin associate itself with a structured authority.

Bitcoin era in full swing, I think the course will soon be a very high one and Satoshi will cost one cent.

Nothing, bitcoin is future of money, now bitcoin is trend. I think nothing, bitcoin will not dead.
Maybe the obstacle is from the people who used it, I means their greedy, scammer, and human error.

Buy it. Use it. Tell people about it. Not much we can do apart from those three things.
