Bitcoin has been used for so many scams and ponzi schemes because of its promising returns in the future and yes, many people are blinded by this that's why they tend to give everything they have just to make money in the easiest way they can. What they do not know is that many people are not trustworthy. Glad that we have such kind person like the OP that is willing to educate newbies in cryptos. Hope you continue to help informing other people about the truth in bitcoin. And may Godbless you more OP.  Smiley

It's truly cool to understand somebody who has the energy to point out others digital currency. Others will accept the open door to abuse that premium and milk out of their cash. I wager that OP appreciated that second when he spared the individual from falling into the outrage and when he was instructing and imparting his insight thereto individual.
Because he is a true Crypto believer and He is doing what thinks is right to help others and also helps the Market gain more investors.

Even at the stage of btc advancement many people are still very clueless about cryptocurrency and it's numerous possibilities, and I can understand why newbies will only be interested in the money they can make or it can make them rich quickly because this is the impression that is been given by some websites promoting ponzi and looking for easy prey,
However, good thing is you are able to give this man some closure of what cryptocurrency is all about and how investment in it works.
Those sites appeal to what people really want, and lets be very clear most people do not really care about the decentralization aspects of bitcoin and the freedoms and responsibilities this will bring to them, they only care about the money and while it is obvious that bitcoin is still an incredible investment option especially if you are willing to hold your coins for the long term at the same time there is simply too much disinformation being spread on the Internet.

It happened that yesterday a secondary school teacher who teaches in a private school visited my office after sighting my banner about learning how to buy/sell bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. He told me he heard bitcoin could make him to become very rich at the shortest possible time. He was willing to offer me money since I have a physical office where I sell bible/Christian literature. I objected him, but took out time to educate him about bitcoin and the blockchain technology how it's possible for it to change his financial fortune with proper coaching and a determined heart of discipline. He was very concern about who will buy the bitcoin from him and if his fund will be trapped, I showed him the bitcoin market capitalization and he jerked in surprise, and talked little about custodian and non-custodian wallet. He was fascinated and at this point he is more willing to underdsatnd the market than just investing without knowledge.

Just before he left, I gave him a serious caution never to give anyone his money with the hope of getting a weekly or monthly dividend, and never to buy and coin that promises to display bitcoin in 3 years as such promising a big price growth. He promised to visit again with his I-pad and diary to start practical class.

Our little exposition of bitcoin and its working principles can help save innocent investors from Ponzi and scam promoters. I never had such opportunity 3years ago, had to read online.
You had a great job on that one mate giving others the opportunity to learn more about bitcoin and with professional advices, how i wish i had the same mentor when i am starting to explore cryptocurrency.
Any news mate about Her/Him?does he comes back with the I-pad and start classes?if i were only lives in you region i may consider visiting you also as i checked your post history i can see your total support for Bitcoin and the technology.

Bootcamps like this could actually work and have smart investors join the crypto space and not fell into the traps of scammers who offers fastest way to gain money through passive income, sugarcoating interested individuals but really is offering ponzi schemes.
I hope your business becomes successful, people actually needs this kind of bootcamps.

As with other members, I am proud of what you have done. Not everyone has a sense of caring like you. Maybe if it wasn't you, someone would have used the teacher's funds.
Understanding that by entrusting funds to people who claim to be able to benefit many times over with bitcoin needs to be straightened out, this is where it is important to know that cryptocurrency is very dynamic, prices continue to change even beyond predictions, the risk is great. Even an experienced trader, I don't think, would risk his reputation by promising that he would double profits because he was aware that even in-depth analysis could be missed.

It happened that yesterday a secondary school teacher who teaches in a private school visited my office after sighting my banner about learning how to buy/sell bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. He told me he heard bitcoin could make him to become very rich at the shortest possible time.

Did you tell him , Bitcoin can no longer make him rich.
Or
Did you let him believe that nonsense?

Because it is like this, let's say he put in $10K and purchased 1 Bitcoin.
If Bitcoin went to $100K a 10X increase, he makes $90K.
Very Nice if it happen, but odds are it won't.
The days of 1000x or 100x gains for Bitcoin are over, or did you not know this.
@OP, I respect what you're doing.
@Khaos77,I went through some of your previous posts and the topic you constantly participated and i have a reason to believe is either you lack the require understand about bitcoin or you're aning those guys which are here to spread FUDs about bitcoin.
For your information, you won't succeed.

Ok , smarty pants,

Are you one of the numb nuts that think Bitcoin is going to $1 million bucks next week.

Because if the guy could only afford 1 bitcoin near $8½K , it would take ~117X increase in price for that to happen.
(To make him a Millionaire, ie: technically rich)
(Odds are he could not even afford that entry amount.)
*Note he has to sell to actually earn it.*

Your delusional fantasy that btc is a money making machine for anyone that entered after 2014 is nonsense.
Even the 2014 ($400) to 2018 Peak ($20K) , only saw a 50X gains and they had to sell right at the peak,
Aside from Charlie Lee (Insider trading) , no one else came close.

Morons call fud because they are too stupid to counter with facts.

Logical people show math.   Wink

FYI:
Here the thing , If BTC had true utility use, it's price will continue to increase,
problem is every other crypto does it cheaper and faster and just as reliable.
People ignoring the reality and hoping BTC pulls them out of poverty like some magical superfriend are beyond hope.  Tongue
Grow up, BTC bubble burst in 2018 and there has been no recovery only dead cat bounces since then.
Lying to newbies, so they are left holding the bag instead of you is just bad form.

Firstly, anyone that think or believes bitcoin is a money making machine or a check to rich scheme is dumb but that doesnt mean investors and traders with good knowledge cant make money through bitcoin.

Youre right about people ignoring the reality about crypto investment but i believe I'm not in that section and if you check my post history you'll understand that i never ignore the reality about the market momentum.

With that been said, you said some people called your statement FUDs because they are stupid to relate with the "fact" and the last time check fact is an act of proven simething to be true with evidence. Although, price of bitcoin wont surge more than $20-35K as new ATH is concern but you dont provide an evidence to back your claim.

Bitcoin is an opportunity everyone shouldn't miss, if you don't know anything about it yet, it would be best that you start studying it. Afterwards, try out if you can invest large amount of money on it but make sure that you always monitor's it price so that you may know when are the best time to buy or sell. If you are going to be distracted on other things, then you wouldn't be able to work out your investment. Bitcoin is something you need to pay attention with and you should exert all your effort on it if you truly believe on its capability.

He told me he heard bitcoin could make him to become very rich at the shortest possible time.
This is a sign that he knows little regarding Bitcoin. Yes there is a possibility that Bitcoin can make you very rich at the shortest time but on the other hand, it can make you poor to in a short time. He just heard it to another people who has little to no knowledge too regarding Bitcoin and they don't know how it moves.

He was willing to offer me money since I have a physical office where I sell bible/Christian literature. I objected him, but took out time to educate him about bitcoin and the blockchain technology how it's possible for it to change his financial fortune with proper coaching and a determined heart of discipline. This is the correct move that you did and make it double because you taught him and give him some information on what truly Bitcoin is and what are the basics of it. Sharing knowledge to people who is passionate to learn Bitcoin is the best decision a person can ever make to his life Smiley. Proud of you Wink

Yeah with your conversation, you've prevented a possible investor from being scammed. He is lucky that he knows you and because of you, he know even the basics of it and to prevent him from getting scammed. It is ok if you got scammed. Learn from your mistakes and share it to others Smiley.

I also never had anyone to teach me about Bitcoin, I learnt about it myself by reading lots of articles online. But nowadays, the people I see are kind of dumb. They keep thinking that Bitcoin would make them rich overnight. They see Bitcoin as where they can just put in their money and wake up the next day and they are rich. They are lacking understanding, and the worst part of it all is that they are being told this crap by friends who knows about Bitcoin but chose to deceive them, and they themselves don’t even make research to understand anything about Bitcoin, rather they just take whatever they are being told.

People needs to understand that Bitcoin is not a get rich quick scheme, even though there’s such opportunity, you shouldn’t neglect the risks that are involved, you can also lose your money quickly.

You gave him the best word existent in the world, Bitcoin is a dominant force but it is not a get rich soon scheme.

If you get further opportunities, i implore you educate them more.

The next time he visits you again, tell him the types of wallet he should use and how to store the keys privately, in case he decides to hold bitcoin on the long run for himself.

Education is the key to avoid false hopes from potential crypto users. Learning crypto is not an overnight one. It would take time for someone to fully grasp the ins and outs, but if he is willing to learn, time is not an issue. We should always be honest when we want someone to deal with crypto. Because with false introduction, that's where people are getting the negative notion and consequently, doesn't want to deal with crypto anymore as they thought it is a fraud.

True, most of them invest on bitcoin just to get rich real quick. They have seen the price of bitcoin rise real fast, for which they end up with a stereotypical idea of bitcoin. They have heard stories about how the prices of altcoins jump around 500% in few days for which they think that all cryptocurrencies can give profits real quick. Instead of admiring the advantages of crypto currencies over fiat currencies, they tend to run after profits only and use cryptocurrencies as a storage of  value. This kind of behavior is actually a barrier to the development of crypto currencies.
But hey, at least people are curious/interested on bitcoin because of this "get rich quick" scheme. Eventually they will learn that its not an investment that can make you rich over night, but an  investment that can give you financial freedom.

Unfortunately, most investors and new players in cryptocurrency come because they are interested in getting rich quick instantly. That's what makes their logic paralyzed so easily trapped Ponzi schemes, unclear signals, fake investments, etc. I am very proud of the OP who cares about those around them who have misconceptions about the cryptocurrency ecosystem. The wrong way of thinking, cryptocurrency can make rich quick, it must be straightened out, even if it is true there must be a process that must be followed, hard work, not just instantaneously, especially just by giving funds to other people and in the future, some time will become many times over, cannot be ascertained.

I am really shocked to see that it was a grown up man who is educated on the top falling for schemes like making him rich in an instant.
Bitcoins is never gonna make anyone very rich , it takes time , investment , market strategy , good insight and a little bit of luck , nothing happens here by chance and the people who became millionaires overnight they all had a very important quality
Patience
Good thing you are promoting bitcoins how it should be promoted.

I agree, ignorance about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies is still too big. Despite different available information people have very limited knowledge about Bitcoin and all possibilities as well as opportunities it offers
Also, many are mainly oriented only on profit and see Bitcoin only as a source of income so every time when the price is below their desires and expectations they are full of criticism towards Bitcoin and see only bad things in it. Very bad attitude and it gives totaly wrong picture about Bitcoin.

I admire you for telling the truth about Bitcoin rather than sugarcoating it just cover the risks of investing with Bitcoin. Some people are taking advantage of people's innocence when it comes to crypto investment which leads to wrong decisions in the future. It's really an advantage if we'll be their eye-opener that Bitcoin couldn't make us an instant billionaire.
