What you did was such a humane approach and I am happy that there crypto enthusiasts out there, like you, who would choose to take time educating others about the nature of crypto market. There a lot of interested individuals, who are poorly educated and misinformed about Bitcoin, who started risking their money with the thought of having a huge return without first seeking knowledge how the market works. They are very entice with the idea of earning without having to be concerned about so many things, which led them to despise Bitcoin later on due to their unmet expectations and bad experiences. Keep educating your people, spreading the right information and more power!

It happened that yesterday a secondary school teacher who teaches in a private school visited my office after sighting my banner about learning how to buy/sell bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. He told me he heard bitcoin could make him to become very rich at the shortest possible time.

Did you tell him , Bitcoin can no longer make him rich.
Or
Did you let him believe that nonsense?

Because it is like this, let's say he put in $10K and purchased 1 Bitcoin.
If Bitcoin went to $100K a 10X increase, he makes $90K.
Very Nice if it happen, but odds are it won't.
The days of 1000x or 100x gains for Bitcoin are over, or did you not know this.
@OP, I respect what you're doing.
@Khaos77,I went through some of your previous posts and the topic you constantly participated and i have a reason to believe is either you lack the require understand about bitcoin or you're aning those guys which are here to spread FUDs about bitcoin.
For your information, you won't succeed.

It happened that yesterday a secondary school teacher who teaches in a private school visited my office after sighting my banner about learning how to buy/sell bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. He told me he heard bitcoin could make him to become very rich at the shortest possible time. He was willing to offer me money since I have a physical office where I sell bible/Christian literature. I objected him, but took out time to educate him about bitcoin and the blockchain technology how it's possible for it to change his financial fortune with proper coaching and a determined heart of discipline. He was very concern about who will buy the bitcoin from him and if his fund will be trapped, I showed him the bitcoin market capitalization and he jerked in surprise, and talked little about custodian and non-custodian wallet. He was fascinated and at this point he is more willing to underdsatnd the market than just investing without knowledge.

Just before he left, I gave him a serious caution never to give anyone his money with the hope of getting a weekly or monthly dividend, and never to buy and coin that promises to display bitcoin in 3 years as such promising a big price growth. He promised to visit again with his I-pad and diary to start practical class.

Our little exposition of bitcoin and its working principles can help save innocent investors from Ponzi and scam promoters. I never had such opportunity 3years ago, had to read online.
You did an amazing job at helping this person, it is very common that people have a mistaken view about what bitcoin is about, some think it is a way to become rich really quickly like that teacher, but there are also some that think it is a scam because they believe what the media has told them, you have made a great job at dispelling some of the myths and most likely helping a person that would otherwise be scammed, however keep track of his progress since it is not rare that despite the warning he will still invest in a scam.

She went there at the end of the fourth day of her investment to collect both capital and interest but these guys had already gone.

Hello Confiance, I guess your friend has learnt the hard way, people tend to believe more on get rich quick scheme, it's caused by lack of emotional intelligence and financial discipline. I have disciplined myself to stay away from HYIPs.
You should have edited your post rather than quoting it. You can delete this after 24hrs.

You did a great job sir, Infact this post is just timely. My colleague invested a particular amount of money with a recent company. She said they trade on bitcoin and she will receive 14% every four days. I tried coaching her on the risk involved in what she's doing and how it might end up getting her scammed but she wouldn't listen. The basic thing is learning the fundamentals....

I told my friend, that the long term return in this industry is average 100% per year, if he don't buy at the top and hold more than 4 years. He said: Impresive, that is a surprisingly great return! And then he never looked back at bitocin again  Grin

That's nice! If he went to another person, he might have been scammed. Great thing that he went to you and that you tried to teach him even a small lesson and gave him some advice what to do incase someone will try to trick him.
This should how we act if there's someone who's willing to learn Bitcoin. Instead of fooling them, we should teach them the right and proper things they need to learn.
Agree to that. Giving a good advise will let new people to realize that this industry brings chances to people who are willing to take the risk, knowing the right information that you need in order to survived from the hands of possible scammers and scammed projects. If you have given the right answers that you need you'll be able to enhance your chance to be more successful.

i can relate with this experience because i come across it every now and then in my local area, some of my friends are just not interested in the learning part of btc, they are more concerned on how quick they can make money out of it,
when ever i try to explain the way investment in crypto works whether btc or alts, they will suddenly loss interest and said they heard some people make lots of money back in 2017 why has things suddenly changed,
the experience of 2017 is what many newbies are focusing on when entering the crypto space and that is why many will fall into wrong hands of scammers.
good thing you where able to convince this man to have a better understanding of btc and crypto in general.

You did a nice job with that,

You know, that is the main issue we have in the outside world. The only thing that newbies know is that they can make an easy money using bitcoin and soon they will give a curse about it after they had a bad experience.

They treat bitcoin as an easy source or an easy making money method, the reason they have is because they heard something about it without making their own research.

Good thing is, there are people like you who is willing to share good talks about it.
Maybe the other reason is those people who are intraductal and spreading wrong information about bitcoin because there are some chances that they say that bitcoin is just a easy way of earning money on investing and there's assurance that you will earn which is wrong because before you invest on something you must have enough knowledge on what investment you will go.

I have also a bad experience on that on the first time someone introduced me cryptocurrency and they say that i can earn very fast as long as i invest my money on them, so i make my own research on how i will earn money in bitcoin ok to carry and i found out that it was wrong that you really need to have risk your money in order to earn.
It is true, but most of the time, people tend to skip from learning and go directly on the process of earning money. Especially if someone they know are the one who invited or tell them about this investment, they just let other people to decide with their investment.

If money is the matter, keep the influence of others just a second factor to affect your decision. Always prioritize your understanding and if you have a little knowledge about something always do the research by yourself and confirm how is strong is the fundamental of that information that you gathered.

did he come back mate?please share what happens.

He has not comeback, maybe he felt I could perform some magic for him. My contacts and that of my friend are on the banner. I just hope he doesn't go and fall for scam. If he does falls for scam and later resort to me for help, he will have to pay for further consultation for failing to yield a free advise.

Good job! All we have to do is unite to end scams... scammers exploit the ignorance of newcommers and are destroying crypto bit by bit...
Like with so many other issues, education is the key, and if the legit actors unite and share their knowledge, scammers will loose territory, and will have harder time in finding victims for their schemes...
information is the key, but the will to search for it is also vital as most people become blind by the chance of success

Such a good choice the teacher appeared infront of you. He/she has choosen a right person like you who will gonna explain and make things clear about his wrong perceptions of making money out of bitcoin. Since he did a first step reaching out to you, I do hope he may contact you again for further assistance. Since, it is still vague for that teacher as to where he/she should start.

Most of the people are still confused and thought btc is an easy rich quick scheme. Not knowing that this kind of investments need skills and good timing for buying and selling.

He is indeed lucky to meet someone like you due to the fact that there's a large portion of scammers roaming in this community. In fact I've experienced this kind of scheme before when I was a newbie, but luckily I only had a little amount way back then. Moreover, scammers was one of the reason is why ICOs failed to reign over a short amount of time.

I think if many people there have the same though as you then there will never be anyone who got scammed. You can count how many people there who got scammed just because they got an offer to double their money in short time pariode, but in the cryptocurrency industry there is no such place. Everything need a proccess, you can imagine how bitcoin became have a value, its valur not up directly into $20.000 but it was need proccess. From $1 to $2 and so on, and I juat weird when the people there was offered to get passive income, becausw if the know the rule and what cryptocurrency they will never trust anyone who offer it.

there should be some people who can give the right direction to direct how to avoid scams and losses from bitcoin, many new traders do not really understand how to trade properly and right so they often lose panic when the price at the exchange falls even when the moment like that new traders should be able to give direction to not be affected and not panic so that its assets are still safe.

It is true that most newbies today are mistaken in understanding bitcoin. Most newbies consider bitcoin to be a moneymaker in an instant.
The reality says differently, because in order for us to make profit from bitcoin we must go through various processes. And we now need
people who educate ordinary people so they are not wrong in learning bitcoin. So if ordinary people can knowing bitcoin the right way, then
he will succeed in the world of cryptocurrency. If many people succeed in the world of crytocurrency then indirectly making bitcoin can develop
faster than now, and also its users will continue to grow.

I also have a story related to people who want to invest in Bitcoin. They are my wife's sister and her husband. They asked my suggestion about their plan to invest in Bitcoin because they heard their friends can rich by investing in it. I asked them if they already learned everything about Bitcoin, its investment, and its market. They answered that they have just known about it and don't really understand it. Then, I told them to forget a moment about investing in Bitcoin and better to learn first everything about it. When they already have sufficient knowledge, they can start with a small number of funds (extra money). Once again, I advise them to not expect too much but set possible (rational) targets.
