Stefanos Tsitsipas - Nuno Borges

man, this is a game that as soon as I saw the odds I couldn't contain myself and started laughing a lot, and as if nobody believed in Nuno Borges, but he actually did well, beating Dusan Lajovic very easily, but the fact being 26 years old and being in the 88th position in the ranking and not having won any relevant major tournament puts him in a very disadvantageous position, if he won that game the person who bet on him would make a lot of money. on the other side we have Stefanos Tsitsipas who currently occupies the number 5 position in the ranking and will do everything to win this game. so in my opinion Stefanos Tsitsipas will win this game

Albert Ramos Vinolas - Carlos Alcaraz

 Grin

It must not be easy for Albert Ramos Vinolas to see his opponent's odds and his odds, it's a very big difference, Carlos Alcaraz has odds of @1.03, honestly that's as if he had already guaranteed the victory even before going to play , Albert Ramos Vinolas currently occupies position number 72 in the ranking and 6 years ago he managed to reach position 17 but with his 35 years and his performance not good, I don't see him managing to surprise Carlos Alcaraz, who currently occupies the position number 2 in the ranking, he is currently the most victorious tennis player this season with 23 victories and only 2 defeats, in my opinion Carlos Alcaraz will win this game

Djokovic v Etcheverry was an exciting match to watch. First set was a real thriller and Nole barely made it to the tie break. Etcheverry was so good from the baseline that he actually won many rallies, despite Djokovic being considered one of the best baseline players. Djokovic's vast experience helped him win the tie breaker and take the second set 6:2. Djokovic conceded lots of unforced errors and generally looked unwell. Compression sleeve was in place this time too signaling continuing issues with his elbow. Nole will have to face Grigor Dimitrov in the second round.

Djokovic still struggling and it dosent look promising for him. I had under games in this match but first set was a tie break so automaticly it was over for my bet. In second set he showed good tennis and easily won but he needs to play like does when he is the best or he wont reach even the semi final

It is sad news for the tennis community although it has not yet been confirmed. Chances are shrinking that Nadal will play at RG.

It is not looking good for him and if you watch the video you can see how desperate he is. If he is in that condition right now, how could he ever get the fitness to survive a whole RG tournament? If he even suffers so hard during his training sessions where he can take control over the workload and all other factors, I can't see how he can improve so much that it makes sense in his own opinion to start the tournament.

Andy Murray is trying his level to make good progress, but he isn't able to perform well. If I'm not wrong it looks like he's planning to announce his retirement once after a title win. I don't know how far it comes to reality with the young players standing on top.

Murray is 35 and I think he will play for another 2-3 years. He is still successful from time to time and I am sure that will keep him from quitting now. He won last weekend in Aix-en-Provence. That was his first win on clay since Madrid 2016, but it did not give him enough self-confidence to win against Fabio Fognini. Now Fognini is better known and eyes are on him.

Huge boost for Murray for actually winning a tournament,i think this didnt happen in years and i think this might give him a boost to win a little bigger tournament. He needs to take advantage of next two years because i dont think he will play after that at all.

I didnt know anything about that tournament, I think it was a challenger tournament.
What is even more surprising is that he was playing and beat Paul in three sets.

No disrespect but its the challenger circuit which Murray would be better off playing
to win tournaments. He isnt going to do it anymore on the ATP tour. I think he could be
more successful outside the ATP tour but I really think his days are numbered. I'm not even
going to bet on him anymore if he plays first rounds in the ATP competitions.

I won the Djere Laslo vs Lestienne Constant bet yesterday and I was very impressed with Djere Laslo's game because he was still able to play as well as I expected.
I haven't seen the next schedule maybe will make a new bet soon for the next game.
The match is won by Djere Laslo and a good winning day for you. Once after the first set match came to an end with the walkover from Lestienne. The next match of Djere Laslo is scheduled against van de Zandschulp. This could be a match between players of similar ability. Previously van de Zandschulp have played against Karatsev in the Madrid Open and lost the match in direct sets 2-6 5-7.
Yes and I'm happy with Djere Laslo's win because he gave me a small advantage for me to use in the next few bets.
The match will take place today Djere Laslo against Zandschulp and it's true what you said it looks like these two tennis players have almost the same performance and abilities so I haven't really made the decision to bet yet.
Maybe I will see first some time after the match starts and then I will make a betting decision.

-snip-

Well laslo Djere is really good on clay and if he plays against players that are lower ranked then him he will win those matches. He can go far in tournaments maybe to quarters max on big tournaments on smaller ones he can maybe even win those tournaments
Djere Laslo has played quite well these past few years, he even won the title of best singles player in the world with 27th place and won the ATP tour twice.
I'm sure that even though he's going to be up against a pretty good player, he can still keep up and for a small tournament, he can easily win it.

I think it is easy to understand that at 35 years old it is certainly really hard for him to continue performing well consistently. In the last match, he did play well. But he certainly fell short. At 35 years of age, it is suddenly hard for him to keep up with the others. Regardless to say that he is going to find it really hard to play against some very young players like Alcaraz who are already at the top of the game even if he is able to get past the earlier stages.

I also think that he will continue playing for another 2 years at least. But it is sure that these years are not going to be his best.
Everything have got some reason. For now he's not experiencing big success, but he have got some plan and moving towards it. At this age every player will experience some difficulty. It looks like he had taken it as a challenge and moving forward. Once it was Murray who had been dominant in Tennis. Now scenario have changed completely.

Watching Murray - Fognini now. Very entertaining encounter so far. It's 3rd set now, 6:4, 4:6 and Fognini leading 2:0 in the 3rd. Fabio managed to break the Brit early in the 3rd set. The battle of veterans is always fun to watch.  Roll Eyes
Finally it is Fognini to reach the next round winning against Andy Murray. The third set lead at the start continued and Fognini was able to win it easily. Yes I watched the third set of this one yesterday, that early break by Fognini was crucial
and better still he held onto it. Still a good few Italian players left in the draw (bitbollo
will be happy with that!)

Last match today sees Arnaldi v Schwartzman, this is a good chance for Arnaldi,
Diego has not been performing well lately. Arnaldi is a decent price too @ 1.59.

Well, I'm happy only when I see my bets "all green" Wink
As I said in another gambling topic, in the past I also bet against my Nation during the World Cup Wink (pure blasphemy  I know Grin ) but bet first of all, this is my "heart team",

In this tournament, I'm happy to see live players of a certain level... between Fognini and Murray I'd rather see Murray play live Roll Eyes too late maybe next year?

Have a look on this article below (translate it since it's in italian) some bettors have "annoyed" a player (Popyrin) during a game.
Quite common in minor tournaments not in an ATP 1000 tournament

I also agree that in this tournament Alcaraz is going to get tough opponents. But the expectation is still going to be high from him. After all, he is the number one player in tennis right now. There are some players who will be very hard competition for him. But I also still expect him to be in the finals.
Surprises can happen in this tournament. But I don't think there will be any surprises about Alcaraz reaching the finals of this tournament. Djokovic vs Alcaraz, going to be a great final if it happens. It also feels like any other open and for either of them is going to be easy.
Does the draw for a tournament always happen based on the players' rankings? Because I remember I read some news a couple of days ago and it said that it could be that Djokovic gets a lower seed and would then meet Alcaraz earlier in the tournament. Does the organizer have the last word when it comes to the seeds or is it definitely based on ATP points?
In this case it is good to know that we have a chance for a final between Djokovic and Alcaraz. Those are the games where it is worth taking some time off and watch it.

I actually feel like if it does not happen between Djokovic vs Alcaraz it is not going to be interesting even if Djokovic or Alcaraz does get beaten by anyone else.

People end up thinking that they have just performed badly. So, I believe that these two performing in the final are actually going to be very good for the revenue as well. People are also going to love to see these two face each other in the finals. If it is anyone else I don't think people would be that much interested.

In the end it is what tennis fans want to watch. There are exceptional games played by other players as well, but not as constantly as these guys do. When Djokovic played against Federer or Nadal in a Grand Slam and they have beetn without injuries, it was almost a guarantee for a 4 hours + match and time to get out a massive bag of popcorn. This is not happening that often when other players are on the court. Yes it is still great tennis and you can see that they are also top level in the world, but it is not the same as when these aliens played against each other. Smiley

Alcaraz is the main favourite in Rome. But I think that through the match against Struff many have seen that he is not unbeatable. That will certainly give many others a bit more confidence. And sometimes the form of the day is decisive. If an opponent has a really good day and Alcaraz not then even an underdog can beat him.
Nevertheless, I would also look forward to an Alcaraz - Djokovic final.
