Bad defeat for Del Potro against Gulbis which is currently 589 of the ranking atp (his best ranking is 13th). Gulbis was quoted at 6.50!
Djokovic then in the next round (who has lost only 5 games today) will find Gulbis.

Djokovic seems in good shape and will easily come in at least in the semifinals
Gulbis is a great grass court player . I went for +1.5 Gulbis and wow what a win , thanks to him . It will be very interesting to see how he plays against Djokovic but for sure Delpo v Djoker would have been much cooler.

I have finally seen Djokovic in great shape and very focused. I think he will easily win 3-0 against Gulbis, instead against Del Potro would be a more balanced match because Del Potro paradoxically plays better against strong players.
I'm almost certain that Djokovic will easily be in the semifinals without losing 1 set
Djokovic looked great today in all segments of game. I knew that Gulbis could make surprise but I excepted a bit more from Delpo. However, Gulbis played really good during all the match and deserve to win. I think that he is going to be good test for Novak.

Today all the big favorites (Murray, Tsonga, Nadal, Cilic) have easily won 3-0.
The only surprise of today is Medvedev's defeat against the qualified Bemelmans (his victory was quoted at 5.50).

Murray already looks virtually at the quarter-finals because he has a easy draw: Fognini at the next round and in the eighth-finals Paire or Janowicz
I can see him taking Fognini easily but what lies ahead of him aint easy.
If he has to face either Federer or a healthy Nadal then that will be the end of him.
He had an easy win last year winning Wimbeldon with a finals with Wawrinka.
And we all know how easily Stan was dispatched by the young Medvedev. Undecided

Try, Nadal is playing so great, I really would like to see that duel in semi finale.
Medvedev is example how player can be inspired when playing against big champion and took advantage of his not so good performance, but like by the rule they usually loose next one, emotionally emptied.

What a thriller Konta's match against Donna Vekic turned out to be! Konta managed to win, which would please the British fans.
The final set was stretched by Vekic, which Donna finally managed to win 10-8.
She cried and cried and cried Vekic Sad I was rooting for Konta too but it was very sad to see Vekic go like that , she will make a good name in the future because she has got talent . Apart from Poullie no big upsets yesterday , will be a great day today.

Fighting against opponent and flying ants today at Wimbledon courts, it's a double trouble for both side players. Most irritating thing for me when I am in same situation, playing as recreational player of course Grin

Alot of mens matches cancelled/incompleted due to retirement of those matches players.
A total of six men alone took themselves out early including the Roger Ferderer and Novak Djokovic match ups today

Novak was even saying during his after match press conference they should of not been able to participate in the Wimbeldon tournament if they just wanted to get this far to just "Give Up!" without playing until the match is over.
He goes on by saying there were others who would of loved to be in that spot and been able to finish their matches to not disappoint the fans who pay good money to watch these matches just to be given half a match instead.
There is a rule stating they are only able to withdraw themselves from a match being so far into the tournament they are taking a part of only twice a year or they forfeit their prize money by getting this far. But he does say they should be fined if they pull themselves out of a match without a injury to themselves.
Which was the case with all the 6 retirements of today's matches which Djokovic was a part of. Undecided

Yeah, the issue is the rule about still getting prize money if you withdraw didn't apply in any of the Grand Slams yet, which is probably one of the reasons Fed and Djok's opponents tried to play on - GBP 35,000 on the line. Had they only implemented it for Wimbledon, we might have had better 1st round matches. And maybe a few less "fee wins" for informed punters.

This is sad. If people try to play matches when they are not fit and do not expect to win, just to get "appearance fees", it really isn't good for the game. But can action can be taken against the "informed" punters?

Just 5 more hours for Wimbledon to start Smiley Can't wait . I went for Federer to win the tournament because Sportsbet provided 5 odds and I think its really worth to take it . The big 4 is seeded top 4 in this tournament followed by Wawrinka .
I am not sure you picked right person or not. But he has the capability to win this big event. I am not 100% sure but I have 70% confidence that he will win this title. You may get surprised from Nadal at the end of the tournament so be ready to take any result at the end of the tournament.
I agree with you completely . I have placed some chips on Nadal to reach finals actually , I couldn't resist but bet on Federer because of that impressive odds . Lets see how it goes Smiley I would be more than happy to see Nadal winning the tournament .
The expectation is high on these two top class players but doesn't know whether they will make our hope true or they will disappoint us in the middle of the tournament. Today already we got one surprise Nick  Kyrgios retired against Herbert. I think if he plays the full game also he may lose this match because he lost 1st 2 sets. Don't know what surprise we have in tomorrow matches.
Another upset .. Top player like Stan Wawrinka lost to Daniil Medvedev 1-3 (4-6, 6-3, 4-6, 1-6) lol Stan playing like rank 300+ player Cheesy

Yes, his mental state sometimes can be like 750+ ranked player. Wawrinka knows to enter tournament slow, he is very dangerous after round two, but as I could see he also had some injury problem and also had a misfortune to play against highly motivated and for me surprisingly good young Medvedev. Tomorrow great match to watch- Murray vs Brown.
Yes, incredible and unexpected defeat for Wawrinka!
If Federer wins Wimbledon, there will be fab4 (Murray, Nadal, Federer and Djokovic) in the top 4 positions in the ranking atp!

Never expected Wawrinka defeat so early. just now tournament started already 2 top rank players out from this tournament. Kyrgios and Wawrinka. Federer, Nadal, Djokovic will reach semifinals, and the 4th player Murray will come, or else another young player will replace his place. Now this tournament is getting interesting.

With today's win Roger Federer becomes the player with more wins at Wimbledon (85).
He equals the record of participation in slam tournaments (70 as Santoro)
He is also the third player in history to surpass 10,000 aces (Ivanisevic 10.131, Karlovic over 12.000)
Both Roger Federer and Novak Djokovich were able to sail through the next round after their opponents couldn't continue due to them sustaining various types of injuries.

Brits will be watching the performance of Johanna Konta closely. She is the British #1 and lots of people have high hopes on her. She won her first match pretty easily, defeating Hsieh Su-Wei 6-2, 6-2.
This is actually a relief, since Hsieh Su-Wei beat her in the French Open a couple of months back.

Agreed, Everyone in UK is watching both the performances of both Andy Murray and Konta, Which are the only serious possibilities for UK to get a top place in a tennis court right now, Murray being ranked within the first 4 and Konta playing for the 1st rank.
