Federer wins the match in 5 sets. The way it looked after 2 sets, I felt he would win in straight sets but stan had other ideas. Entertaining match on the whole and after the medical timeout, Federer looked fresh and sealed the deal.
After 14 years there will again be a final in a Slam tournament (always the australian open) between the Williams sisters.
Venus Williams became the second finalist in a Grand Slam tournament older (36 years and 7 months).
The oldest ever to reach the final was Martina Navratilova (37 years and 8 months).

Going to be Venus Williams vs Serena Williams in the Finals. It's like rolling back the years where they used to meet in semi-finals or finals. Venus is playing great and should be a tough match. Serena is chasing a slam to become the best women player in the history of tennis. What a great time to be alive such good tennis players and record makers all around.
Federer v Wawrinka is about to start . H2H record Federer 16 - 3 wawrinka but today is a new day and anything can happen but I am rooting for Federer and going for +1.5 set handicap all in . I have a feeling Federer will win against Wawrinka but still to stay on safer side I am going for set handicap .
Wawrinka is not the weak him any more after he beated Djokovic on french open and us open, he is a super player, one of top 5 best players, remember he 3-0 against PRoger Federer in Rolland Garros? I go for Stan for higher odds.

Same here and as I said I believe everyone is wanting this to happen a Nadal/Federer final. Nadal looks to be back to his best easily winning last night against Raonic in straight sets. I also think Nadal can beat Dimitrov but like you I'm not sure about Federer winning against Wawrinka but both matches will be great to watch and I can't wait.

Most likely be Coco Vandeweghe vs Serena Williams in the finals. That would be all American affair. Serena would win that match in that case. It somehow feels unfair to have Serena in the women's category. She can easily dismantle any WTA player if she is playing just a decent game. She doesn't even have to be on top of her game to win the Australian Open. Its cruel on the other WTA players.

Nevermind, Lucic-Baroni wins in 3 sets. takes a medical timeout while she was trailing and injured. Comes back strong enough to get past Pliskova. Pliskova seemed to be out of form. Lucic-Baroni had more aces than Pliskova. Not often that it happens that a player hits more aces and winners while playing against Pliskova. I think Pliskova leads last year WTA for most aces in the season.
Maybe only Lucic-Baroni who make a medical time out can win the match, Pliskova need to learn how to manage emotional how can She lose when played with injured player when she has lead the score
