Roger Federer is a goat. At this age and he is still winning major trophies. He has shown that age is just a number and kudos to Nadal as well, even after a long injury he is still a formidable opponent. Nadal is still a force to reckon with and he should never give up. Congrats to Serena as well. Its a nice way to top off his engagement.
Congrats to Federer on his 18 Grans slam title, but reading some articles that lot of tennis legend are pissed on Federer move in 5th set. He ask medical time out to gain some strength and this what they all say was bad move, but cant blame on him cuz it legal.
Anyway this was good match but after favorites were kicked i was hopping to see this final.
If any player takes time out the both player will get rest am I right? Then how can only Federer gain some strength in that time out? And yes it is legal they have rights to take a medical time out. Anyhow the game was very entertaining I enjoyed a lot what I was expected that I got in this match. Both players put 100% effort, but finally, the best performer won the title. congrats to Federer. I'm watching Kalashnikova/Krunic vs Plipuech/Lee Y-H. Plipuech/Lee took the first set but Kalashnikova/Krunic were looking strong in the end of first they started off slow and hence were trailing. Bet on Kalashnikova to win the 2nd or the match. It should be easy pickings for the odds we are getting.

Vikhlyantseva N. vs Shvedova Y. match to happen in Russia(St. Petersburg Open) odds on Vikhlyantseva N. is 1.72x and I think she will win the match as she has been in a very good form and playing in her home country this time. Shvedova have been struggling to find form and has lost 4 of her last 5 matches and I expect her to struggle once again.

I think Nadal will beat Federer . It may go down to 5 sets but I think Nadal will have the strength till the last moment and will be able to to beat Federer . I too think Nadal takes the match, though Federer is in the lead with the winning of two sets. Federer again used the medical timeout to get back to good shape and change the momentum. It is a good trick to use, especially when the opponent is fired up. Once you slow the game down by taking timeout its hard for the opponent to keep up that high intensity he had before. Federer might genuinely have had an injury and thats why he took a time out but I think it was more tactical than medical. He did the same thing during his last match and came back stronger against the opponent.
That guy is a sneaky competitor. I will give him that. He tried to explain what the medical timeouts were used for at the end of the Wawrinka match but could not explain it too well and ended up looking like a fool making those hand gestures as if he was coupling his balls. But I know it was his upper thighs so he says.

i think it was very difficult to select fedrer or nadal, as both were too much experience and the legendary players of the tournament. and there for i just do not bet on anyone of them but now i am happy with my decision, because my sympathy was with nadal and fedrer beat nadal even receiving tough time from nadal, i will like to congratulation to both the player first fo reaching into the final and ths second is for the game they play in all rounds. Congrats to Roger Federer on winning an epic battle against Nadal. I really enjoyed watching that match from start to finish and it could of went either way as both players had the momentum at different stages of the match. But once Federer broke back in that 5th set to equal the games won 3-3 I knew that Federer would go on to win the match as the momentum had switched in a big way and the crowd really got behind Federer which also helped him win the match. It will be hard to see Nadal catching Federer now with Grand Slam titles.
What an awesome match of tennis we witnessed in the Australian open, with the win Roger Federer became the oldest man to win a Grand Slam singles title in 45 years defeating Nadal and it was a hard fought battle,i thought Nadal could win this one as Federer has not won a major tournament since 2012 and has not beaten Nadal in a grand slam final since 2007 and with all the stats in the world Federer won the Australian open in style.

This years the winner for Women's and Men's Single it's come from old Tennis players, this is proven age can't prevent a person to become a champion .
i think reaching to the final was great reward for both the legend, although both were facing the growing age and fitness problems, but still they use their experience and reached to final. i think both played really in great way, but yes one person is to get the thropy and dederer succeeded this time. any why it was a great math to want and get entertained. .

Unbelievable match! Filled with twists and turns. Federer took the first set and it looked like he's going to win it in straight sets and then came Nadal storming to win the 2nd set. Federer made quick work of the 3rd set winning it 6-1. Nadal wasnt having any of it and made an incredible comeback to win the 4th 6-3 and was leading in the 5th 3-1 but then he probably ran out of steam since he played a 5 setter against Dimitrov and had 1 day less to recover. All in all a fantastic match something to remember and talked about for a loong time.

Yup. I haven't been following a lot of tennis lately but this one should be a no miss. It might be the last time that Nadal and Federer would meet in a grand slam final. I made a last minute bet on Nadal and lost. Oh well... But it was well worth it.

Federer defeated Nadal for his 18th Grand Slam title. He had to wait 7 years between Australian Open titles. It was an awesome game, going to all 5 sets. Federer defended a couple of break points to win his title.
