Aggarwal seems to be comfortable now on the crease and we still have Rahane , Saha left who are proper test players IMO. We have Jadeja and Aswin as well, not regular test players but still can deliver when in need. We still have 3-4 good players so no worries.. we are gonna get past 400+ atleast
If Mayank Agarwal can perform like this in bouncy tracks then he will be an asset for India, i have seen Jadeja and Ashwin perform in the past with the bat and they have a decent average for a batsman and can be called all rounders and are regular in the test line up for India as far as i know, Ashwin is not playing in ODI for T20 for over a year, India will look to win by an innings with they way they play as both the batsman are set for big runs.

Mayank Agarwal scored his century and he is playing well and his position is cemented with his consistent performance and if Rohit Sharma can perform then the hunt of openers will end, i am looking forward for the tour of New Zealand whether the famed Indian players can perform well in New Zealand as i do not remember any series they dominated in New Zealand. Bangladesh also dropped some catches and if they keep on missing those chance the level of defeat will be bigger.

2 crucial wicket have been taken, and all the three are taken by Abu Jayed. India still have the chance of hitting 400+, Mayank and Rahane both are good players for test format.
In sportsbet, for Draw you will get 20x while for Bangladesh you will get 70x. Anyone taking the risk? lol
Too much of a risk as India is in a good position right now, Kohli gone for a duck but still there are plenty of batsman for them to score above 300 runs and Mayank is continuing his form as he is batting well and he might score another century, the pitch is helping the spinners and India have two quality world class spinners that could create trouble for Bangladesh in the second innings.

Bangladesh could not even manage to score 200+ runs in their first innings and got all out very quickly for just 150 runs. India is cruising ahead with 105/2 and easily set to reach 350+ runs and might need not require to bat 2nd if they can take lead of like 250+ runs.

Kohli gone for zero. Actually it was a good decision by the Bangladesh players to go for the review. India has lost two wickets in quick succession, and both of them went to Abu Jayed. First it was Cheteshwar Pujara, who got out to a needless shot (full credit to Saif Hassan for clinging on to a difficult chance). Ajinkya Rahane has now come to the crease, and he will be looking to build a partnership with Mayank Agarwal. India should not get complacent here. Bangladesh still has a chance to make things difficult for them.

Pakistan are looking good heading into the first test against Australia, I am hoping for an even test series but with the form Smith has been in it might be a one sided series. Also Warner has come into some form recently in the T20 matches but he's test match form is terrible but being back on home soil should see him bounce back. Its going to be an interesting series and hopefully Pakistan can put up a fight and challenge Australia.

Don't have any assumptions before the series begins. As of now, it looks like the series will be one-sided. But you can never be sure. Australia is also not in a very good spot right now. As we saw during the Ashes series, they are too much dependent on Steve Smith. If the Pakistani bowlers could get Smith out early, then Australia may be in deep trouble.

Warner was lucky that the selectors decided to stick with him rather than kicking him out. He had a horrible Ashes tour. I would be more careful before claiming that he has regained his form. A few good innings in the T20 format may not provide a metric to measure his form in the test matches. IMO, the Pakistani bowlers should target Warner, as he is looking like the weak spot in the Australian XI.

Pakistan has good record in tour matches and its nothing new in Test matches their terrible form is also never been out of question this time same happening but as we have some good new blood even they badly faild in Twenty/20 most of peoples not expecting any miracle from them but as you believe we can also expect some resistance from them.

Pakistan performed well in the warm up match but the team members are entirely different for the Test series and if you look at the past Ashes series Smith was the only player that was performing consistently and England was not able to take his wicket early and that is what i am expecting in the series against Pakistan, Smith will continue his form and i hope the Pakistani young batting line up put some runs on the board so that it will be an interesting contest.

If you look at the Ashes series Warner was having a hard time facing Stuart Broad as he took his wicket seven times in ten innings but i think Warner will change his fortunes in this series against Pakistan.

Any side would like to keep it settled with 1st innings. If you have chance to take a massive lead on opponent then why leave it. We all have good players and I think we yet have to see some good centuries from 1-2 batsman. I hope Pujara does it (kinda on a bad form recently, would be a good time to silence some doubters).
India is in a really strong position and Pujara needs to score a big ton as he is not in the best of form for the past few test matches while Ajinkya Rahane regained his form in the series against West Indies and that continued against South Africa and Kohli will be trying to score runs and improve his performance.

You are right about this rivalry thingy but i highly doubt if they are going to take rest no matter other playing or not.
In test matches Smith is in top form as he is performing consistently and Kohli too is in form but in his past seven test he scored only a century while Smith scored three centuries, in ODI there is no rival for Kohli but in test matches Smith is reigning supreme.

Kohli is not in mood of any rest in Test Matches for next 2 years unless he's injured or their place gets secured in WTC final, its marathon and he's the best bet for India. IMHO his dedication towards test format doesn't need any explanation and we shouldn't forget that every Test match has points system, every game is very crucial as far as Test championship is concern, So opposition strong or weak shouldn't matter.
There are not much Test matches either to take rest from the longer format and then the Test championship and then the battle for the best batsman between Kohli and Smith is going on and Smith is scoring runs and so does Kohli and the battle will be for the best test player for this year.

There is a battle going on between Kohli and Smith and if Smith would have taken rest against Pakistan then i guess Kohli would have taken rest in the series.

Smith already lost a year because of the suspension and there is no way he is going to take rest anytime now.

I don't understand why Kohli is playing in this test match. This was an ideal opportunity to give some of the younger players an opportunity to make their test debut for India. That is, unless Kohli wanted to add a few more batting records against his name. To put it frankly, I am getting tired of all these one sided test matches. Last month we had a very one sided series against South Africa. And now this one.

Yes mate you right kohl have take a break from this test series because the test series playing against Bangladesh so he can his place to any young talent to get experience before going to play top test teams like South Africa, Australia.

I can give examples for given chance to young telent, that is Dhoni was done so many time when he is captain to test squad.

@Vishnu.Reang @sureshnsnet don't know what are you talking about bro.

In last 3-4 years he missed only 2 test games as far as i remember(Australia +Afghanistan) that too due to injury. For rest and workload management he always takes break during T-20 or ODI series along with Bumrah. apart from them Pujara, Mayank, Vihari, Rahane, Saha, Ashwin, Ishant,Yadav only play one format.

These series comes into my mind where he voluntary took break from cricket ; Nidahas trophy, Asia cup, recent Bangladesh series, few ODIs and T-20 series in New Zealand tour 2019.

There is nothing wrong with improving Test records IMO. its wild dream for every cricketer to get their shit together in the Test Format. because this is the format where Legends are born. take example of  Sikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma. Both are spectacular performer in the shorter format but one gave up in the Test Format and the other guy still trying even after hitting age of 32.

There is a battle going on between Kohli and Smith and if Smith would have taken rest against Pakistan then i guess Kohli would have taken rest in the series.

They should think about the work load as well. Teams like Australia regularly rest their senior players, in order to guard them from injury related to over-work. India should also think about the same and implement a system which can rotate the players. With such a vast player pool, I believe that India can rest the senior players once in a while without having a negative impact on their winning probability.

Majority of the test matches are one sided, either you see a draw or it will end up one sided and you will rarely see a competitive test match and there is nothing you can do about it.

Bangladesh does not have a very lethal bowling attack to restrict India with the batting line up they have, Agarwal and Pujara still in the crease and then you have the run machine in Kohli and if Bangladesh could take his wicket then they could try their best to silence the rest of the batsman but the tail is so long for India as the number 8 batsman have a century in Test, so it is a big task to restrict all the players.

It's easy 500+ is what I think. India have lot of time now that they have settled Bangladesh innings early. With this advantage they can easily take 1-2 days to build up a score of 500.

India is playing decently although they have lost one early wicket. Don't forget that the great wall: Pujara is still in the pitch along with another great test genius Mayank Agarwal. Still Virat Kohli is there. Bangladesh performance is too poor to place a bet since the odd is very low. I would put some if it was even more than or equal to 1.10 for India. 1.03  Angry Angry

Well, if India can bat tomorrow, I guess the score will be more than 400 which is enough to have an innings win  Cheesy match will be ended within 3 days.
