The luck ran out of England as they already lost their 9th wicket and they will try their best to reach 250 runs and it is another repeat of the first Test matches where South Africa will take a good lead and how much they can score depends upon how England bowlers are able to bowl and how the South African players can perform if Quinton de Kock have a bad match as he is only player that performed in the last match if i remember correctly.

Can't believe this... The England guys just threw away their wickets. They are at 235/9 now. If this is how England performs against a weak South African side (which lost more than half of its top players to the Kolpak loophole), then it reflects poorly on them. From 4/185, they slumped to 9/235. Around 6 overs remaining for today.. and I don't even think that England will survive for that long. 

With the new ball Nortje is bowling at serious pace and Jos Buttler is counter attacking as that is the only game he knows, if he try to defend he might loose his wicket and so he is playing the only way he knows best and if he is able to score some runs and built a good partnership with Pope then England can easily reach a total of over 300 runs so that the bowlers will have something to defend.

Edit: and the cameo from Jos Buttler ended as it began and now they are struggling at 235 runs with one wicket left.

Australia is in a good position and Marnus Labuschagne is find of the season for Australia as his incredible form continues and today he reached his 4th century and with injury from the main players New Zealand is struggling to have an impact in the match.

Scoring runs is not easy against the new ball and its due with in 10 overs, So Buttler playing T-20 style and looking for quick runs. SA fielders are quite unlucky today. okay amount of half chances missed with the catches and LBW.

Edit : Jeez, Luck is favoring English batsmen. nicking here and there..

This game looks dead..

England is struggling as they lost Ben Stokes and their fifth wicket and if they are able to score another hundred runs then it would be great, if not it will be another easy game for South Africa, Jose Buttler is in the crease and he is playing as if this is another T20 game and if he looses the wicket going after every ball then it will be another disappointment.

With their 5th wicket down, they have to hope that the tail will fight for England to put a decent score on the board  .

Lol England was looking stable after 50+ run partnership in between Ben stokes-ollie pope. but Ben stokes lose the concentration and ended up throwing his wicket, poor guy. England would be very happy if they can touch 250 runs mark in the first inning.


Their Tail fight backs but for this at least one middle order batsmen need to stay there. hope Jos Buttler stay at the crease for some time.

England is in a slightly better position now, with the partnership between Ben Stokes and Ollie Pope taking them to 185/4. Considering the fact that their lower middle order is quite strong (Jos Buttler/Sam Curran/Dominic Bess), I expect them to score at least 300. Also, let's not forget the fact that their no.11 batsman (Stuart Broad) has one test century to his name. No other team can boast of such a no.11 batsman!!! 

The England batsman needs to step up their game if they want to challenge South Africa, before the series even South Africa was not in great form but with the batting failures from England and how South Africa was able to defeat them they have regained the confidence and Ben Stokes and Buttler need to play a longer innings if they are to put a good total on the board.

It is a long road for England as all the major players are struggling and Root their main player is not able to convert the starts he is getting for a very long time and the selectors might need to find good players from county cricket and give them the opportunities rather than sticking on to players who are proficient in the shorter format.

Definitely not the day of ENG after won toss and elected to bat first.Stokes doing good job by conceding more balls and set himself up to the crease for longer innings hopefully he can do if there is enough support from another side.

Not the start England would have expected after winning the toss and decided to bat and have lost 4 wickets already for 127 runs . Stoakes is on crease and he will have to play big inning today if he has to bring England team out of trouble .

And in the another test match between Eng and RSA,England is batting first but they lost both the openers too early now Root and Denly is on the process of steadying their batting lineup for a while now.Current score is 77/2.If RSA can get few more wickets by today then they will be in commanding position to win another match on this series.

I do not like to identify the best as every legendary players had their own class which stood them apart from the rest of the players and sure Lara and Sachin influenced many young generation of players and so does players in the past generation like Viv Richards and Gavaskar and there were many legendary players.

When it comes to the match, Labuschagne continues his prime form as he yet again scored a century and Australia is in a good position.

Its not as easy as you guys think having played Cricket for a considerable part of my life. I find scoring boundaries easier(Since timing and placement is all that is required) while pulling off maximums need brute force(Big muscular bodies help) which is why both are difficult to execute.

Easy answer. Right handed batsman: Sachin and Left handed batsman: Lara. Simple and straight to the point.

Oz again win the toss and batting first . If Nz would have won the toss results would have being different NZ would be crusing just like now how OZ is going . 280/3 it seems OZ would make 500 runs in first innings and put NZ again under pressure .

I think these days Test matches are attacking than the old days. Most of the Test has results now a days where in the old days we would see teams had this tendency to play a Test for draw. They used to be defensive in Test matches. Those who watches regular Test matches, I think they will understand what I am saying.

Absolutely true. These days players are more like Baseball players (no disrespects to the hard hitter by the way, it's a skill too). There was a time when I used to wait for Dravid to play his innings. The Wall was the most stylish and one of the best technically sound player in my opinion.

Talking about bowlers, have we forgot the peer of Curtly Ambrose and Courtney Walsh? In Test match standing in the pitch against these two legends was a big deal for any batsmen back in the days. There were no rules for bouncers at that time and these two were master at bouncers. These days these added on rules like bouncer restrictions, too many power plays, and many more actually killed the test of real cricket. Bowlers are like they are very limited by law to show their aggression.

History even can not figure out who is the best yet, Lara or Sachin. These players had not only served their own countries but also the entire cricket. Without them any format cricket would have not many influences. Most of the youngsters from last decade dreamed to be the next Sachin and Lara back in the days and still they do. For example: Kohli

Yes, The Australia team will be going get big total sure as doing well performs there they already scored 280/3 in 89 overs and still two more overs to stop 1st day play. so it is looks easy to score 600+ from Australia team, todays credits go to Australia batting.

OZ vs NZ 3rd test is in progress.Auz won the toss and betting first and actually they are batting well at the moment lost only 3 wickets and scored 259 in 85 overs.Marnus Labuschagne os setting him up for big score already on 124 and counting more than 200 balls on his bat.

I think that Vishnu was implying that the batting style of Pollard and Gayle suits more to the T20 format.

I would agree with that. T20 batsmen needs no great batting technique. All they need to do is to smash the ball out of the park (just like the West Indian batsmen such as Dre Russ and Kieron Pollard). You will not get to see classic cricket shots (such as off drive of Rahul Dravid or the majestic straight drive by Sachin Tendulkar) in the T20 format. To witness such classy batting, you need to watch test cricket (and to some extent ODIs as well, but ODIs are also getting similar to T20 now).

Stokes proved to be the hero that England needed, but it was sad to see his personal life mired in controversy when his professional life was improving spectacularly. ICC+Stokes are the lucky charms of England these days.

Very unfair comparison. Pollard and Gayle are great at hitting maximums while Sachin and Dravid are great at playing finesse shots which is why both are great in unique aspects. I personally find both equally entertaining.
