Poms are bringing some new blood for home tests so maybe there is a tiny window opening for the Windies.

Still, England should cross the line but i am considering betting on the Windies for at least 1 win in this series. Odds are also quite juicy so I won't mind betting some lunch money on them.

West Indies is probably towards the bottom of the top 10 when it comes to test playing in nations. They cannot play test cricket. There is a reason why one team is not going to be able to succeed in different formats if they have the same squad. If they are playing really well in the T20 format, they will not be able to play well in the test format. If they try to do that, that will make them perform badly in both of the formats. There is a reason why big teams have different squads for different formats of cricket. West Indies is not a very good team when it comes to the test format and compared to them England is far better. I am not expecting West Indies to even win a single match in the test format against England.

The first day of test match ended and Sri Lankan U19 is in good condition . After the rain Sri Lankan U19 team played well and they built good partnership. Dinura captain and second Dinura are present on the crease and they are playing well and they are looking in good form and they can make match interesting. From the start Sri Lankan batters gave wickets easily and after the rain stop there were less swing in the ball and Sri Lankan batters use the pace and ball were not spinning after the rain. Dinura captain is not our at the score of 70 runs and they avoided the team from losing the match because team was in difficult situations and luck was also to the side of Sri Lanka.

We are having another delay due to rain as right now after 42.4 overs we are having 177 runs for the lost of 5 wickets which is good fightback from the Sri Lankan youngster after having 37 for 4 in these tricky conditions Dinura Kalupahana playing on 70 and Diniru Abeywickramasingha 35 we are having second good partnership after early collapse things were looking not favorable for the visitors we are having good skills and quality from the Sri Lankan captain Dinura Kalupahana who is leading from the front in this game.

Most chances now we will have end of the day on these figures because time is also ended for the first day play English bowlers are having good use of these conditions and take early wickets which helps them for keeping pressure on Sri Lankan batting, but they are also doing good resistance, and we are having good game between these youngsters from Sri Lanka and England at the Wormsley, hopefully tomorrow we will have better time of play without rain.

Even things are going without any problem, but now I have feeling few weaker teams like West Indies, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe needs to stop playing test matches and having work only on T20i format which is surely going to be profitable for them and others also because we are having no chance of development for them now in this format.

Yeah, Rain stopped and play continued In the first unofficial test game England U19 won the toss choice to the field. SriLanka U19 loss four early wickets in just 37 runs. England U19 bowlers AM French excellent performance took first three wickets and putt all pressure on the Srilanka U19 batsmen. Srilinka U19 team current score is 79 by losing his four quick wickets but the partnership between Mahith Perera and Dinura Kalupahana help Srilinka U19 team to score a competitive total in first inning of test match. I completely agree with Haunebu. I am following test cricket for the last 2.5 decades and defeating England at home is extremely difficult even for teams like Australia and India. England has one of the best established 4-day domestic systems in the world (County Championship). The only other league which can rival it in terms of quality is the Sheffield Shield of Australia. On the other hand, 4-day cricket is more or less dead in West Indies, as the players without any exception prefer shorter formats of the game.

Yes very sad ending both played with full struggle and worked very hard to win this game but at end this game was drawn and no one win this game. Anyways, in test game, I surprised by effort of this team CS X1 team of England how were they playing in game and first their bowlers performed very good in 1 st Inning of WI team. WI batsman scored total 339 runs and all wickets gone and dismissed. John and Farhan both these bowlers showed brilliant effort in game and most of wickets was picked these two bowlers. Otherwise, CS X1 team made 373 runs in their 1 st Inning and trail by 34 runs. In 2 nd Inning of West indies, by losing 5 wickets and made 196 runs they ended their inning but unfortunately this game was not reach to end and game wAs drawn.

I think England U19 will perform well in the test match. Yes that's right the Srilanka U19 team performance was good. But didn't you see how the England U19 team performed in the last match of ODI series. So I think they will continue that performance and perform well in today test match. But it is early to predict because both teams are looking strong. I am looking both teams at same level. So it is hard to say that which team will win the test match.

The match was drawn. And you analysis about the match and you picked up FCCXI team best as compare to West Indies. So I agree with you on your thoughts because that is right that FCCXI performance was really good in this match. In the first inning of West Indies I appreciate the bowling of FCCXI especially John Turner and Farhan Ahmed. They both collected 4,4 wickets. After that the batting performance of FCCXI was admirable. Because they made 373 runs with four wickets lost and they declared. In this inning William Luxton was playing excellent and he made 112 runs(not out) and Hamza Shaikh was good who made 84 runs. Means overall FCCXI performance was good in this match.

And it's a pity for both the team because all the hard work and struggle both the teams have put in will go to waste. And that's really sad. If seen, I am more in favor of West Indies. That they won the match but fate and their hard work and struggle had something else in mind due to which the match was drawn. I know the performance of West Indies which is why I am in favor of it. If I knew the performance of CS, I would have decided by looking at the performance of both. If this match is going to happen I am still in favor of West Indies and I hope that this time West Indies team will win the match and achieve victory. Yes, you are true to your word, but I have no idea of their performance. But their performance is really good so they should have won the match but they could not win the match.
