We know that Bangladesh team is weak in Test format. Bangladesh team accepted a shameful defeat in the first match too. And after the Sri Lanka team scored 531 runs in the first innings of the second match, I was sure that the Bangladesh team would lose this match too by a big margin. And that's how it's going to be.

Bangladesh lost their second wicket for 96 runs. And Bangladesh lost their seventh wicket for 148 runs. Apart from Zakir Hasan, no other batsman can stay at the crease for long. We haven't seen better performances from Sakib and Liton. Liton Das has been out of form for a long time. If this continues, Liton Das will be excluded from the Bangladesh national team in all formats. Bangladesh will probably collect as many as 200 in the first innings. But even if you estimate 200 runs, I think Bangladesh can cross 300 runs if they can save wickets. But in the 2nd innings, both their bowling and batting performance should be very good to minimize the runs.

I don't expect any good batting from Bangladeshi batsmen in Test format. Because I have seen Bangladeshi batsmen batting well in Test format in very few matches. But I expected to see good bowling from the Bangladeshi bowlers. Because Bangladesh is always strong at their home ground and their bowlers bowl well. However, we are not seeing good bowling from the Bangladeshi bowlers in the Test match against Sri Lanka. The performance of Bangladeshi bowlers was poor in the first test match as well, and as usual Bangladeshi bowlers are not doing well in the second match.

At the end of the second day, Bangladesh collected 55 runs with the loss of one wicket. The match is likely to be a draw if the Bangladeshi batsmen are able to perform well on the third day. But personally I think its very unlikely. My guess is that Bangladesh will face a batting disaster early next day, and will lose all wickets to score 250-300 runs. Like the first match, the Bangladesh team will be defeated by a big margin in the second test match as well.

In the first innings of the second Test match between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, we again saw a consistent batting performance from the Sri Lankan batsmen today.Sri Lankan batsmen showed their professionalism today and scored a lot of runs against Bangladesh but they may regret every batsman that they could not score any batsman century. Sri Lanka team top order middle order all the batsmen gave their best today.Srilanka are already way ahead of Bangladesh even they scored more runs they should have declared the innings but they didn't.

Yeh absolutely agree with your point of view because it's not looking like Bangladesh playing at thier home ground and delivering such worst performance it's totally unbelievable and look at opponent score board they hit a 500+ digit and to be honest if they hold thier wickets a bit they definitely K.Mendis will scored thier third consecutive century in just one and half test matches, how gem sirilankan team has found at thier lower middle order where things got more hard for them to tackle but he is try his best and delivering much more good results then any expectations, Anyway after such high digits target I taught Bangladesh will give a handsome response but instead of showing some magic they lose thier first wickets and just score around 50, I am damn sure that Bangladesh will lose couple of wickets at start of second day

Today 2 nd test game, one day was ended and Sri Lanka team scored 314 runs in 90 overs and losing 4 wickets and their 1 st Inning is still continuing. N.Madushka scored 57 runs with dismissed in 105 balls, D.Karunaratne made 86 runs in 129 balls. D.de Silva and D.Chandimal both are currently batting in pitch, D.de Silva batsman effort was impressive in 1 st test game. I believe that this game also won by Sri Lanka team and Sri Lanka team is much stronger than Bangladesh team.

The scores turned out to be as predicted by myself in the last post. Sri Lanka did scored a decent 1st inning score as almost all of the players performed well. They batted till being all out. They lost two wickets through run out. If they have played slow, they might have got to 600 by the day end as Kamindu Mendis was still there and he could also have made century. Anyway Sri Lanka started bowling in better position. Though Bangladesh haven't lost more than 1 wicket and 55/1 is not bad in a test but there's no consistency on Bangali lineup and Sri Lanka would be trying to all out them tomorrow, preferably calling them again to bat.

Bangladesh have started the game and have scored 55 runs so far and they have lost 1 wicket so far. So it is doubtful whether Bangladesh will be able to cross 200 runs. I was really surprised to see Sri Lanka play like this. I thought the maximum they would score would be 400 runs but I never expected them to cross 500 runs.

When Sri Lanka were all out for 531 runs, it was Bangladesh's batting name and initially Bangladesh started well, but Bangladesh's first wicket Mahmudul Hasan Jai fell for 47 runs. Looking at the batting of Bangladesh, I thought that maybe Bangladesh can do well in this innings, but with the loss of 47 runs, my idea changed.
Bangladesh should have faced the remaining few overs of today's last session in a defensive mood, but that was not possible, instead Bangladesh's top order batsman Mahmudul Hasan got out. Although Taijul Islam came in the end and managed to pass the session. Second day's play is over Bangladesh will start the third day with a bang and it is expected that Bangladesh can do well in the first innings if the batsmen in the top order do not fail.

In the test match between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, SL was bowled out on 531 runs in their first inning. All of the Sri Lankan top order scored runs, a few of their batters got unlucky and could score a century, and the rest made a handy contribution. Shakib got 3 wickets and three batters got runout.
Bangladesh responded with aggression. Their opening batters are batting with positive intent and if they maintain this aggression in the first session tomorrow, we might see a thrilling test match.

Had Ashitha Fernando not been run out, it would have become a world record for his as he(Kamindu Mendis)has already scored a century in two innings in the first Test and if he had scored a century in today's match as well, it would have been three innings in a row. Maybe he doesn't have such a record because of that, maybe he didn't get a century in the first innings in today's match.

Edit: While I was writing this post we have new record Mendis hit 2 sixes then last ball run-out mean now this record belongs to Sri Lanka having 531 runs without century in test inning.

Congrats to Sri Lanka for breaking the record and naming it to themselves. What a tour Kamindu Mendis and Dhananjaya de Silva are having. Runs are coming from there bat whenever they come to crease in this test series. Kamindu Mendis missed another century by just 8 runs and was not out in first innings. Shakib Al Hasan was the most successful Bangladeshi bowler who got three wickets but had to bowl 37 overs to get these wickets.
