Sri Lanka batted first in the 1st Test and won by a big margin so they decided to bat after winning the toss in this Test as well. Sri Lanka's batting line-up has improved a lot today. So far Sri Lanka have collected 180 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 50 overs. Nishan Madushka was dismissed for 57 runs and Dimuth Karunaratne was dismissed for 86 runs.

Bangladesh bowlers bowled well in the first test but they are not able to bowl well in the second test. Hasan Mahmud has taken only 1 wicket. Let's see how many runs Sri Lanka can give a lead.

Now Angelo Mathews and Mendis are on the crease the way Sri Lanka is playing is excellent looking like the score will be up to 500 and pressure will be on the opposite team Bangladesh. Bangladesh need to take wickets early so they can put pressure back on Srilanka also Bangladesh need to batting consistently in this match in the previous match they failed to make a big score which causes their big defaet. in 1st innings bangladesh must lead by some runs to win this match otherwise series will be in Srilanka hands

Poor Bangladesh lost a good toss here and now paying the price, atm it looks like a belter of a pitch and for Bongs it'll be a long tiring day at work, possibly 5 full sessions of hard work.

Shakib has yet to bowl long spells, maybe because it's a first day pitch or after a break his bowling arm is not in good shape for the long haul.

It is not acceptable that Bangladesh will perform such a bad performance in their own venue. Where Sri Lanka was supposed to perform badly, Bangladesh performed so badly that they defeated Bangladesh by a huge margin of 343 runs in the first match.
Bangladesh will face a similar defeat in the second match too as Sri Lanka have already made a great start and they have batted first and collected 128 runs for the loss of one wicket in the first innings so far. If Sri Lanka gives Bangladesh a lead of 400 runs in the first innings, then I think Bangladesh will not be able to meet this run target even in two innings.
Moreover, the pacers and spinners of Bangladesh are not able to take advantage today even though one wicket has fallen, this wicket has come from a run out. So in today's match I will assume that Sri Lanka are in the driving seat and will most likely set a target of over 400 runs.

In the first match, Sri Lanka won the match by 328 runs. Again coming to the 2nd match Sri Lanka are batting first here they have scored 105 runs for 1 wicket so far. I remember the 1st match after seeing their performance. Sri Lanka's performance once again indicates that they are likely to lose this match to Bangladesh and that too by a huge margin of runs. Sri Lanka will score more than 350 runs, maybe 400 in the first innings. So I don't see anything good for Bangladesh. i think Bangladesh is going to lose 3 matches in a row with Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka current score is 105 runs in just loss of only one wickets. I think sri Lanka batting first is good decision they wlll set a huge total for Bangladesh and put pressure on them. Unfortunately, Nishan Madushka is run out after scoring a half-century battling well to add 57 runs to team total. Dimuth Karunaratne is playing well at 37 runs Unbeaten alongside with Kusal Mendis at 7 not out. This partnership is very important for Sri Lanka to score a huge total. Bangladesh bowlers haven't bowled well so far in the second season of day one.

Sri Lanka won the toss and quite predictably chose to bat first. And this means that Bangladeshi batsmen will be up against the Lankan spinners on the 4th and 5th days of the match. At this point, Sri Lanka has a definite upper hand, and winning the toss has put them on a further higher ground. Having Shakib Al Hasan back for second Test will really help Bangladesh. Shakib is talented player who can do well with both batting and bowling. His experience and skills make him important part of team. He can perform well in different situations which makes team stronger. So having Shakib back should give Bangladesh better chance of winning next Test match.

Shakib is at number 3 in ICC men's test ranking of all rounders and his inclusion in second test will give Bangladesh an opportunity to level the series. First day play of second test is underway and Sri Lanka is batting after winning the toss. After 2 overs play Sri Lanka score if 8 runs without losing any wicket. SL need to pay attention to there batting as there batting was pathetic in first test and due to superb batting of Dhananjaya de Silva and Kamindu Mendis they won.
