There is no comparison between Australia and West Indies in test cricket. Australia is far better than the Caribbean team and this is their continuous win after defeating Pakistan earlier. It was expected that Australia would win the first match and they will win comfortably the second one too. What I liked about West Indies is that they did not get an innings defeat as their last batters batted well to give Australia a small lead.

In 2018 India's tour of England. Debutant Sam Curran frustrated Indians with his bat and ball and he was awarded with juicy IPL contract. In the last England's tour of India, Moeen Ali smashed the Indian bowlers for quick 50 in losing cause, earlier he was released by his franchise but CSK went to bid war for him.

Debutant Jamison also smashed India in bilateral and performed well. All Franchises went after him in an auction and he fetched around $1.5 million. The same thing happened with the Aussie all rounder Green, he murdered Indian bowlers in a T-20 bilateral and MI picked him.

Marco Jansen and Dewald Brevis/Baby AB (He performed against India in u-19 WC and got picked in IPL) are good examples as well and a recent addition from Proteas is Nandre Burger.

A recent example would be Travis Head. His last IPL appearance was way back in 2017 but He made 2 tons against India in WTC and WC finals and he also landed an IPL contract. There are so many examples from Windies, SL etc.

op You are absolutely right that West Indies batsmen have absolutely no patience. If they had tried to bat patiently, they could have scored a little more runs in the first innings in the first Test match. The second innings had more batting failures than the first innings. So how the West Indies team will perform in the next Tests depends on the West Indies batsmen and bowlers, if they can perform well, they can certainly do well in the second Test. Of course the West Indies batsmen and bowlers should learn from the first Test that they need to improve their batting and bowling otherwise they will never get a Test series against Australia. If the West Indies batted in the second innings maintaining that consistency and batting in the second Test, they will lose worse against Australia. So if they don't pay attention to batting then Test matches against Australia will never be competitive.

You have notice a real thing on West Indies betting side. I also think that they came to play T20 here not Test series actually what is happended here that the west indies team are good for T20 they also trying their luck on test series by t20 format and that is why we are seeing the dumps on west indies team. I will say that australia team is gonna also win this match .

In the first test match against Australia, when West Indies were bowled out for 188 runs in the first innings, Australia managed to score 282 runs in their first innings. When Australia were all out for 282 runs, the West Indies again started to bat in their second innings where they were not able to collect a good one at the moment. West Indies lost 6 wickets for 73 runs. West Indies are still 22 runs behind the runs scored by Australia in the first innings.
If Australia's bowlers can make something happen on the third day fall 4 wickets in the first 20 runs then Australia will have a great chance of winning by an innings against West Indies. However, even if it is not possible to win by innings, the result of this match will probably be decided on the third day itself.

We got quite good batting from the Australian batsmen. Travis Head's century takes Australia to a big total. Meanwhile, Nathan Lyon's 24 was much needed for Australia.

On the other hand, even after starting the second innings from 95 runs behind, we did not see a good performance from the West Indies batsmen. McKenzie was out with 26 and Greaves 24. At the crease now I don't see any experienced batsman who can play big innings with responsibility. West Indies' innings will end between 130-140. Today was the end of 2nd day of 1st test match between Australia vs West Indies. And most commonly we are seeing the superiority of Australia team. 1st inning is end where WI only made 188/10 run and Australia easily managed that and ahead around 100 run (estimate figure). There's no mentionable batsman from wi who performed well but Shamar Joseph got 5wicksts. And yeah Travis Head did century from Australia team. Australian bowlers did well in 1st and 2nd inning.
